Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

Kind of looking foward to inFAMOUS, first they did the crackdown/halo 3 beta trick and now inFamous have until now gotten 2 great reviews (97 and 9) so i will probably buy it. The graphics looks pretty horrible but i guess if the gameplay is great i can live with it, doubt i will buy prototype after that however... Looks pretty identical.

Football manager 2010 : Maybe this time it wont have game breaking bugs, well you can only hope. Surprise [:O]

Okay this isnt a game but E3 as far as i know less than a month to e3 where we can expect some games announced and hopefully more shown of alan wake, heavy rain, ratchet & clank and maybe even finally see what team ico have been working on the last long time and kojimas next game.

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

Bioshock 2 and Assasin's Creed 2 are on my watchlist. I'm currious about Prototype but I'm worried it's going to be too 'brainless'. Aliens vs. Predator 3 has potential. Max Payne 3 is coming, but it's being made by a different studio from it's predecessors, so I hope that won't go wrong. And with all the first person shooters and similar action oriented games I'm wondering about any G o o d [Good] games coming out of a different variaty. I've previously mentioned Spore: Galactic Adventures, but can't think of anything else.

I'm looking forward to Mafia 2, because the original was a masterpiece. I hope they keep it true to the spirit of the original and not make it into GTA.

I'm also looking forward to Half-Life 2: Episode 3, since all the Half-Life games so far have been terrific. It'll probably be a few years before it's out though. Sad [:(]

inFamous is pretty much a given for me. I still have a hard time distinguishing it from Prototype though Smily [:)]

Bit annoyed at Ghostbusters being a timed Sony exclusive in Europe as I was probably getting that for the 360. Have to wait and see how the reviews go before deciding whether to wait or not.

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

There are a couple of games I'm interested in, like Assassin's Creed 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, but one I just can't wait to get my hands on is Red Dead Redemption.

Why? Because I always wanted a "Western" game, I would love if one company someday decide to make a Western RPG (probably not evident to do), but for now this game will have to do.

You should really go check the Debut Trailer, it looks really G o o d [Good].

OMG! It's about time a new, G o o d [Good] Coyboy game came out. Do we know if it is a free roamer or is it platform? Gun was awesome but Call of Juarez was to linear.

I don't really know why but Prototype looks superior to me. Graphics perhaps.

Looking at the other games the devs of prototype made is enough for me to buy inFAMOUS, when hulk and simpsons hit n run is the best games they made i have a hard time seeing this being very G o o d [Good].

But one thing for sure, the demo of inFAMOUS is awesome even with the total lack of anti alising.

That really looks great. Big Smile [:D]

Having fun with Oblivion, it's a cool game, but still play Fable 2, I can't stop.

From what I've read in the news letter I got, it looks like a free roam game.

The text of the news letter I got a while back.

"Rockstar Games is proud to announce that Red Dead Redemption is scheduled for a fall 2009 release on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system and PLAYSTATION®3 computer entertainment system. Developed by Rockstar San Diego, as a follow up to the 2004 hit game, Red Dead Revolver, Red Dead Redemption is a Western epic, set at the turn of the 20th century when the lawless and chaotic badlands began to give way to the expanding reach of government and the spread of the Industrial Age. The story of former outlaw, John Marston, Red Dead Redemption takes players on
a great adventure across the American frontier.

Utilizing Rockstar's proprietary Rockstar Advanced Game
Engine (RAGE), Red Dead Redemption features an open-world environment for players to explore, including frontier towns, rolling prairies teaming with wildlife, and perilous mountain passes.

Each packed with an endless flow of varied distractions. Along the way, players will experience the heat of gunfights and battles, meet a host of unique characters, struggle against the harshness of one of the world’s last remaining wildernesses, and ultimately pick their own precarious path through an epic story about the
death of the Wild West and the gunslingers that inhabited it."

I am looking forward to the release of Call of Juarez bound in blood.  looks like a killer game, and I like the old west themes for shooter type games.  the game looks visually amazing. and it is suppose to have some cool multiplayer options

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

The Trico project intrigues me but I'll have to wait and see.

As for CoJ, I was excited, until I saw gameplay, it looks horrible through my eyes. I have been wanting a Western game for some time now, so I think I'll go with Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption.

And of course, I'm still waiting for inFamous to arrive.

    Noooooo!

Red Dead Redemption is pushed back and won't come out before 2010.

I knew it. Now I just hope my 360 hold on until it comes out.

    Tatsunoko Vs Capcom.

It's got Mark from Battle of the Planets (Ken from Gatchaman if you want to be a spa about it). And Chun Li. And Viewtiful Joe. And Megaman. And Ryu. And they're all kicking the shite out of eachother, just like God intended!

I am kinda looking forward to the two halo games in the making right now (ODST and Reach), but I am worried that they will fall short like 2 and 3 did.

I am definitely looking forward to mass effect 2 though because I enjoyed the first so much

What are your thoughts about ODST being a full priced game?  I was looking forward to it until I heard that.

I'm looking forward to Ghostbusters.  I was watching 1up's game night when they played the 360/PS3 version and it seems to really capture the soul of the movies (which I love).  I think it's going to be great.

    Are you an ODST (fanboy)?

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

I have no problem with ODST being full priced. I mean sure it was a downer at first but the content that comes included with it?

You have the campaign, you have all the maps on one disc and then you have firefight, which is something Halo fans have wanted for the longest time. Plus you have the chance to unlock recon...

Opinions will differ though. I know I'll get a kick out of the new survival mode and so will my friends so that to me, is worth it.

    But I'm looking forward to...

    - Halo: ODST

    - Halo: Reach

    - Assassin's Creed II

    - Mass Effect II

    - Crackdown 2

    - L4D 2

    - Modern Warfare 2

Holy crap...that's a lot of sequels...

    - GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony

    - And probably others I'm missing. XD

Modern Warfare 2 (I love COD 4 and i'm quite pro at it), Bioshock 2 (the first one had a great story and world), NHL10 (200 improvments board play fp fights), Halo ODST (Halo 1 magnum nuff said)

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

Games I'm waiting for are BioShock 2, Arkham Asylum, Dragon Age: Origins, Assassin's Creed 2, Red Dead Redemption, Alan Wake and Dante's Inferno. I was looking forward to Sacred 2. Bought it yesterday and haven't been that impressed so far. As a standalone RPG, it probably isn't that bad. But with titles like Oblivion, Fable II and Fallout 3 on the Xbox now, I think gamers are a bit spoiled when it comes to expectations of an RPG. I certainly feel I am.
