Do you guys recommend playing with or withoud the patch?
Did the co-op patch also contain some game fixes or is it unneeded if you just want Single-player?![Stick out tongue [:P]](/emoticons/emotion-4.gif)
Heard the patch might be the cause of some problems, don't know if thats true though

I agree with
khriz016
I can live with minor bugs, it's the game ending major ones that annoy me.

This is something I've never understood with games when it comes to finding glitches. How come we the players easily find and run into these minor/major glitches yet the testers they hire do not come across ANY of these things? Sounds like we're the testers and the devs just got lazy and decided they'd wait to see what we find. We should be in Lion Head testing their games, not who ever they currently have, obviously they fail at their job. As for my glitches, I'll post them again to see if anyone else has encountered them. 1. Player sound effects disappears/quits working. ( I know others got this, for me a reboot fixed it )
2. My character quit walking, he just slides across the ground like on ice. He doesn't animate when walking/running, just stands straight up with his arms a little out from his sides. When the glitch first happened my attacks didn't even go all the way through, that's fixed now.
I can move when fighting enemies, I can walk around as long as I'm locked onto some one. But the moment the battle is over it's back to standing straight up and arms to my sides.
3. Co-op quit working, I was able to try and connect to players, which failed every time, but now it doesn't even try. I just end back up at my regular game.Lion Head really needs to get their stuff together and AT LEAST release a notice showing they've heard us/working on it. If they simply showed they're paying attention it would be enough to keep me satisfied, for now.

Freezing Glitch:
Entering the Crucible I go into the main room where everyone wusses out and says they need more time to prepare. So the guy turns to me and tells me to head up the stairs. So I head up the stair and a little menu comes down to tell me how the crucible works and to press "A" to get rid of it. Instead it just freezes my game until I restart my Xbox.
Dropping off the map Glitch:
Twice I have fallen off the map.... a very long ways when leaving Fairfax Gardens and going to Bowerstone Market. It loads me half way through the ground and then I fall.

- Left Trigger bug where it becomes unusable
I have that problem as well. I beat the game this evening, went to Archon's Tomb, and then my friend was playing and accidentally caused a door to close without going through it. Now it keeps thinking I should be looking at a cutscene with the left trigger instead of the rest of the game, and I can't reset the damn cave! It is so irritating, I will have to start a new character.....
Also, has anyone been able to rescue their kid if she goes to the Hobbe's cave? I make it through, then climb the ladder (which is the only way out, I checked), and then it says I need to reload the entire level again and she hasn't followed me out of the cave.... This is rediculous, but I love the game

Posesious:
I have a widescreen LCD HDTV (720p) and the subtitles are still getting cropped off the top of the screen.
Easy. Reduce the output resolution of your XBOX360, you can find it in the System Menu, "Console Settings", Display. There's various settings, including 720p, 1080i, 1080p... etc. There may even be a 480i setting. Forget.

Implodinggoat: I still think an
option for a backup save would be nice;
Lionhead, Deciding not to allow players to create their own save points was a big mistake. Most of the complaints you see on these forums would have become minor inconveniences, and allowed us (the gamers) to simply reload a prior save point and continue playing. Instead, you now have a large group of people who purchased your game, and who are extremely dissatisfied because each time one of these game-stopping glitches appears... we have to start out games from scratch. I personally consider this a catastrophic failure in design. At least provide saving checkpoints. Saving Check points were one of the biggest design blunders of modern gaming.... now you have taken one step farther into the hall of shame by removing saves altogether??? Look, I understand the thought process... you wanted Fable2 to be similar to a real life experience. In real life there's no saving, no loading a prior point. You wanted us to deal with the experiences we encountered, be affected by them, change because of them, and progress through the game as the character we chose to become. But this isn't real life. This is a game I paid $60 hard-earned dollars for, to enjoy to the fullest degree possible. I didn't pay $60 to deal with the headaches of your detached artistic conceptual quirks. Not giving us the ability to save is the biggest downfall of Fable 2.

I agree. I too understand that they want actions to have consequences, to not be able to go back on an action, but there's a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) chance if I had multiple saves (I always kept backups in Fable 1) that I wouldn't be stuck with a black screen and unplayable game at the moment. That being said, I'm still torn, because I really do respect and understand why they did what they did, and it does give the game more of a sense of realism. When you make a choice you have to stick with it. And because I don't want to read through 6 pages of comments, has anyone brought up the worst glitch of all. The fact that sometimes upon loading up a saved game the loading screen goes, and the screen then goes black and the system locks up making that save unplayable? It's likely someone has mentioned it here, but just in case.

Freezing while orbs are collected.
The glitch causes me to freeze like I'm collecting orbs but no orbs come. Can't attack or move. Note: I can still move the camera and everything else in the environment (dog and enemies) are able to move. It also usually displays the four experience orb tallies at the top of the screen. Maybe the glitch occurs because the game thinks I'm done a battle (even when I'm not) and is trying to calculate the bonus? I don't know. It happens frequently after combat and sometimes during. I found that if I keep stringing together the same type of attack without switching weapons, I can usually get through the battle without the glitch, but if I stop attacking or switch weapons it occurs almost instantaneously.
Another possible cause. I noticed that sometimes the glitch is triggered when I try to collect orbs in the middle of combat with the right trigger. If I wait until the end to collect them all sometimes the glitch does not occur, but if I try to draw them in early, this usually causes the glitch.
FYI sometimes there's nothing I can do to unfreeze myself but other times button mashing between weapons (X Y and B) lets me switch my weapon and move a few steps before freezing again. When this has been happening during combat I desperately mash all the buttons I can to get movement so I don't die. It really destroys my enjoyment of combat in this game. Any help coming on this one?
