I too encountered this glitch. I left the area instead of buying her a ring and BAM. The game won't let me finish buying her a ring, no matter how many I've gotten from the jeweler.

sorry i was wrong to refer to this as a bug. the reason why i was lost is due to the fact that i opened the chest THEN found the orb and I though it got stuck in there due to the fact that it was already opened. I started a new character and this time it would not allow the chest to open without the orb.

cannot enter the temple of shadows after destroying it and skipping the temple of shadows quest (doing most of it but not entering the room with the wheel) after beating the game. woo cant get my gargoyles or silver key achievements...

I'm pretty sure some people have run into this bug but i havent seen it in this thread .. I've opened all demon doors, yet i haven't been able to get that "the concierge" achievement for accessing all the doors .. BUT if anyones about to unlock that achievement please do let me know so there wouldnt be a need to wait for a patch on that bug .. game tags exactly like my username hunglo55 lol

I'm having the same issue, same place too. except it was after talking to the drunk guy in the bar that i noticed i couldn't do anything. i've left the area, can fire just fine, come back and nothing works.

you think you've got problems? My spouse freezes... I can't interact with them or what so ever... they are just standing there, well at least my kid is, I've tried rebooting, reloading, leaving and re-entering the area... nothing works... (the last one solved the wife problem) GT: LeXtruX

My Glitch:

The Love Hurts quest. 
Started it, and was about to turn in the last piece, but before doing so I finished some other quests and the main storyline (as in the Fable wiki I saw it recommended that you don't turn in the quest until after the main storyline, as it could cause something there in the end to glitch). Went back to turn in the last piece, Victor won't take her head, and the quest starts all over again.  So it's in an infinite loop.  Also, something's up with the door on the mansion.  It's not soild anymore.  When the door is closed, I can walk right through it.  This usually happens after I've 'retaken' the legs and torso back to him, and this is also where the loop starts over.  Unlike others though, I haven't seen him floating anywhere.  I think I would much prefer that glitch over this one...

If anyone has suggestions for this problem, it would be very much appreciated.

Another glitch I encountered, but didn't mind so much:  The troll that is supposed to show up in the area before Bloodstone (at the end of Wraithmarsh) didn't appear.

I have a big problem in the main story line. When i get the quest from Reaver to go to the Shadow Court i can't go through the gate in the wraithmarsh. the gate is open but my character can't through. I haven't found anything in the internet - hopefully somebody can help me here.

I dunno if this was already mentioned or people know what I'm talking about.
But I've read up on "freezing" issues with Fable 2 and haven't had any similarities to the others, I have the Xbox360 Elite, and both installing to the hard drive and running the game from disc provokes this issue later in the game. (Possible Spoiler Warning for below this)

If you get the quest from Salty Jack for the Pirate Island of Doom! and hit start, go to quests(right under the save option) in there you go down to it which is your active quest and the whole Xbox freezes.

Also in decorative mode if people walk through your house they are on ground level instead of on the floor, basically half their body sticks up out of the floor boards.

I had the exact same problem with rescuing my daughter frrom the hobbe caves. I am stuck in them and am unable to leave because i saved my game before i rescued her but the quest was already started. To make matters worse, my daughter is un-responsive and will not follow me out of the caves. this would not be a bad thing except every time I try to teleport to a different region or leave the caves the game tells me that i cannot leave my daughter alone in the caves and I will have to reload to the last saved point, which is when i am next to my daughter who is unresponsive. I am now going to lose a pure character with all the legendary weapons, 49 of the 50 gargoyles, and over 18 million gold! Does anyone know what I can do to fix this problem?

Getting fed up with this game after playing a little while it's buggy as hell. There's not much danger of this getting fixed now Fable 3 is under way but:

Till death do us part: I ripped up the rejection letter and have to marry Alex. Have bought a house but the game will not let me convert it to a marital house. In the quest menu, completed items, the line 'buy a house for you and Alex' line is repeated 9 times. Tried buying another house, same deal.

Do I have to start all over again?

PS Molyneaux, still haven't forgiven you for that godawful Dungeon Keeper PC release years ago. Even more bugs than this.

The only issue I have had and it is mildy annoying, is in Brightwood at Giles farm. sometimes the audio cuts out, I can hear some clapping and music, but no dialogue or voices, it only happens @ Giles farm.

I have also experienced this glitch, and no amount of googling or trying things out has fixed it. I stupidly thought saving and reloading would work, but it didn't and now I'm stuck with a broken save. Unfortunately, this happened to my millionaire save! Not that you need to be rich to do this quest, though.

to possibly add to this list i have a friend that cant move in oakfield, he moves like hes in a quest cutscene. While he is in oakfield he cant interact with other characters, and i also think that he cant interact with other things in other places.

I just came across a bug in Bloodstone (funny how most of the glitches I've seen have been after I found Bloodstone...) After finishing the Captain Dread quest I quick traveled to Bloodstone, and I walked past the bard to get to Salty Jack. Well, as I pass the bard, the normal 'press A' thing pops up. I walk past and for some reason the 'press A' thing is still above my screen and I am forever reduced to a snails pace, without bing able to cast spells, or pull out my sword or pistol. I think, maybe if I do something quest related I can fix the glitch, so I go talk to Reaver, and I can't pick up the dang seal because whenever I press A the blasted bard thing is alwas there, and better yet, I can't fast travel (I guess I'm in a scene??) and the door is shut so I'm stuck. Anyone have the same problem, at least with the bard, not the whoe 'Press A' things. (oh sorry for the long post, I needed to get this out of my system). I've been playing for 30+ hours and cannot continue, so please Lionhead, don't just fix the Abbot glitch, fix the 'press A' scene glitchtoo!!!!

I'm getting this same glitch with the Bard in Bloodstone and I'm stuck in the scene. Though I haven't finished the Captain Dread quest. I can leave via the ship captain and by wraitmarsh exit but not quick travel. Once I come back to bloodstone, it's still the same scene with the bard. Even tried to anger the residents to shoot me but nothing works, can't even scare away the bard or ask the bard to follow me. This is a game breaking glitch.

Look here... fable 2 is probably the best game I have ever played in my life, even though ive only played it for 2 hours. AND THE ****ING REASON IVE ONLY PLAYED IT FOR TWO HOURS, IS BECAUSE IT KEEPS ON ****ING CRASHING. RELEASE A PATCH, AND THE HUNDREDS OF THOUSENDS OF PEOPLE WHO ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM, WILL BE HAPPY!

Ok so here is my bug and I didn't even know it was missing this till I was looking over my achievements.*spoiler* I somehow didn't get the Hero of Will achievement even know I all ready saved him from the spire, I took the opposite gate he made and got on the boat and didn't receive it. Iv all ready beat the game and got over 30 of the achievements but for some reason didn't get that one. I have to replay the game 2 more times anyways but did anyone else not get that achievement? I mean its part of the store line so how could I of not unlocked it??

Here's my bug.

I went to the jobs menu and selected a Bounty Hunter job which directed me to the Gypsy Camp.  I had to kill a few Hobbes.

I killed every Hobbe in sight.  However the game displays at the bottom right of the screen, Creatures remaining: 1

I cannot find this last creature.  Leaving the area and revisiting at night or day does not help.  Starting and finishing other quests does nothing either.

This message remains at the bottom right of my screen and will not go away even when I'm in a new quest.

The upper body of my hero twists to the right permanently. When I see it happen I immediately quit without saving and reload my last save and that usually fixes it. I made a second hero with my internal memory card and when it happen to him I reloaded and it happened again.

I've also experienced the demon door glitch, when you open them all and don't get the achievement. The fairfax demon door keeps closing and opening back up every time I return to it.

The renown level per region disappears off the menu.

dude i have the same problem. my chick is stuck with doing nothing with a accept quest thing over her head even though i did the quest . if you must know it was in oakfield with the dash quest. also the abbot wont talk to me.

I have a glitch with my wife disappearing, and unfortunately, rite at the beginning of "The Rescue" quest, so I have "You have a family emergency. Check your map." flashing at the top of my screen all time. Its so freakin annoying

I have tried to search this post for my issue, but had no luck!  The one post that did match has been deleted.

So, here goes...

Quest:          The Archaeologist (scroll #5)

Issue/Bug:    Pressing the "A" button does not enable the quest.  The "A" icon fills, then empties again when I let go of the "A" button.  It doesn't matter how long I hold the button, the icon does not enable the quest.  I am then "stuck" (unable to do anything else) until I can end the scene.  (This is where I go to the xbox dashboard and restart the game and go on to a different quest.)

I'm not sure if this is quest specific, but I haven't had it happen anywhere else in the game.
