    Re: Co-op Question?

Well, seeing as all the experience etc that you gain whilst playing in someone elses world is saved onto your character so that you can take it back to y our own world (Or thats the impression I got from the vid, I dont remember if he actually said it that frankly) all you would have to do is load up their world and hit the button to jump back in again and youd be back where you left off.

I suppose the ability to play through the game together depends on whether the visiting player/henchmen can purchase weapons and armour whilst in the hosts world. And even if you cant you could always just jump over to your own world and buy them there before coming back again.

The G o o d [Good] guy wants to rid of the tower, but the E v i l [Evil] guys wants to keep it...think you'd have to fight your buddy?

Does the tower have to be destroyed? Maybe Lucien's just throwing a party on top of the tower. Who knows they might even be playing the game "Fly or Die".

    Re: Co-op Question?

Thats what Im still confused about he didnt give any real details on how it works. Like I understand that you can jump into the game and earn experience and cash for your own world but do you get stuck with a generic character who has no real attachment to you as a player.  I love how crazy Peter Molyneux is so id love to get these things straightened out. Cause all I can imagine is you and your friend trying to figure out who gets to lead this time.

(hence why id like to atleast gain exp/money as my own guy...maybe get some video and pics to create cool things in photoshop)
Every ending is happy, if you're not happy...its not the end.

Mr.P has some very creative ideas, i personally like all of them but he doesnt explain them in depth since last time - The Fable catastrophe, he kinda overhyped the game but it wasn't all his fault the community helped him Stick out tongue [:P]

    Re: Co-op Question?

Thats just it though, you wouldnt be a generic character. All the alignment modifiers etc apply to you too (or so I presume) so you would evolve in just the same way as you would if you were playing solo on your own world.

    Eh, no problem. Crazy can be a G o o d [Good] thing.Wink [;)]

But yeah, I'm also curious to see how it works. All I know is that a buddy can bring in his character and depending if he/she is G o o d [Good]/E v i l [Evil], their rep will affect yours and vice versa because I don't see their alignment affecting you personally.

co-op. the good the bad and your moma

co-op: from what i seen its your choise if you wish to let other people into your game.

there mite be an option for this. single player, co-op, and open game.

single player: jest you and the game.

co-op: you may invite a friend to your game.

open game: this option is set to so you have no idea who comes in and how leave(they mite from the little caption showing whom came in.) this mite been seen as a hard core type of play, for players whating the feel of the real world. some strangers they dont even know are in the world with them. some G o o d [Good], some bad.

it seems that the game's single player play is all done and they added co-op for the people that wish to play with others.

to the other side of the coin i can see side aswell for those thinking that co-op will ruine the game. the only thing you can do now is; not play the game at all, play the game not conneted to live, or find peter's live account name and keep killing his ingame family.

ideas i hope make it in.

being E v i l [Evil] more ways then one.

ex #1:  you go to school and have kids to follow you. you steal some ideas and laugh. they will see that as fun and do the same. the next time you enter town the'll sale you the stuff they stolen. or if you have them follow you and you make rude emotions then laugh/ break stuff and laugh. the'll see this as a game and do the same to the people around them.

ex #2: you steal and item from a store and put the item in the other shop across the street. the owner of the stolen item finds out that his item is in his rival's shop and a little mini war breaks out. this could be a sales war to a full blowen fist fight.

ex #3: you sneak into a house and steal a shirt from a NPC that as a wife. you steal the shirt and take it to a womans house and you put perfoum and lipstick on it. then sneak back in to the house and put it back where you found it. then go outside and wait for the morning show >Smily [:)]

About online co op, im sure noone could hop into your game without permission, im guessin you would have the choice to accept or deny if someone wants to join your game, or another way is people coul only join your game if you invite them Rambo [:rambo:]

some people and I consider that peter saying "but this is just the couch stuff" is a hint released by accident.

    Re: Co-op Question?

I have to apologize a little I watched all the videos and didnt realize he was playing offline the whole time. I think now that co-op offline is meant for a friend who is over to jump in and enjoy Fable 2 with you rather than both having their own world. So hopefully they make the Online co-op with the ability to use your hero.

    Re: Co-op Question?

I have a feeling that online or off, you'll invite a friend to your world and visa versa, there won't be a kind of middle world which is a mix of both your worlds, which is kind of cool. It'll be nice to invite a friend into my beautiful world and let him meet my family (but I'll take his weapons off him before hand) and my sheep dog and so on and help me with my unque story. Then, the next day I could come to his dark twisted world with his dobberman and tart of a wife. Going to a completely different world and inviting a friend to mine is really cool in my mind, even if I can't influence that world in it's look, just kill a few random people.

Yeha you can play from start to finish in Co-Op so thatll be G o o d [Good]. He says it in a private confrence video on Gametrailers.com, so to sum up, yes...... Now i wonder if you can help me, how do you make a topic/forum thingy. I mean the thing we're replying to now, how do you start a new one?

Right beneath Fable 2 Fan Fiction, on the main Fable 2 forum page, there's a link named "New Post."

    A Henchman Question

I would just like to know if there is any clarification on the co-op character being generic or not, I can see from the demo that there is the ability to choose sword type/gun type etc (I can't read the top one for some reason - which may be the answer to this question).

At the moment I can only assume that the exp/renown/gold, is applied to the gamertag, and as such, the co-op avatar might not be transferable across consoles. I'm not sure - but if someone can read that top line on the character screen it might help.

    Cheers anyway. Cheeky [:cheeky:]

    Re: A Henchman Question

In clearer videos you can see it says 'neutral man'. Try the one on IGN. I reckon this is either the name of the avatar player 2 uses (as in it's not their hero at all) or a name the game has given to one of the heroes on that profile. The first seems most likely, which makes me sort of aprehensive. I'd rather play my own hero, and certainly want to see other people's heroes in my world.

Im 100% postitive that it will be your own chacarter. PM said that while your playing you will be able to gain exp, gold, and reknown while playin with other ppl and bring it back to your our world. i dont think its gonna be like how two worlds did with the pvp. also theirs no worrying about transferable across consoles since its a 360 exclusive.

    Re: A Henchman Question

If you have two profiles and both have played the game, when a second player decides to join uses the second account, it will be the hero from that world...

    Re: A Henchman Question

where did u get that from kit?
but I think there is a chance on having just a generic character that goes into ur friends world, not your character, which would be horrible and defeat the purpose of having a co-op mode in such a G o o d [Good] RPG, but I hope it is your own personall hero, otherwise im probably not going to use that feature all that much....  I want to see other peoples characters, seriously! I hope this feature doesn't disappoint...

    Re: A Henchman Question

he said from theo ther players profile, but he might mean that it is just your profile not ur character and it is only connecting your profile so you can obtain things from the other players world...

It would help if we had some more insight into this feature, but hopefully the next vid diary will explain

    Re: A Henchman Question

i'm pretty sure that peter said that you can have a friend on a high lel come in and help you beat the whole game easily, but thats your choice and he cant stop you from getting a super high level character to come in. that makes me think that it is your character from another account. maybe if there is only one account, then someone can come in like a generic henchman of the same level as the player, like on rock band where you can join someone and not even have a profile, they just give you a default rocker.

screw all your cool unique banners and gifs and s***, I'm just psyched for fable 3, the G o o d [Good] old fashioned way.
