    Re: Co-op and other queries/suggestions

Eobaggs...wow. You have a link to everything. That is cool.

But yeah, I'd be nervous if there was online co-op, but not couch co-op. My friend wouldn't do anything to my world and I surely wouldn't do anything to his. And if my bro tried anything...well, I know where he sleeps.Wink [;)]

    Re: Co-op and other queries/suggestions

Probably a G o o d [Good] thing. When I'm playing with my brother, chances are I'd blast his husband in the head when we're on his game. And his kid too (unless they still won't let you kill children).

I'm guessing that if there is online coop, your cameras would be seperate. If so, the fully explorable world would make for a killer game of hide and seek; one person killing villagers while the other follows the trail of bodies.

Question: How many saves can you have per gamer profile? I know you can have several offline profiles on the same 360, but if it's one save per profile, that'd mean only one character could go online. I share a 360 with my bro, so that'd be a real kick in the fork.

What is it with people's sick little obession on killing kids? That's a field day for the media, Jack Thompson and FOX...

Relax, I'd only kill my bro's kids. I'm not psycho, I just like winding him up.

    Psycho.

But, yes. Having that option that allows you to choose if your co-op partner can kill your family or not is really handy.  Smily [:)]

    Co-op gold,exp and renown

I just watched the co-op demo and got excited by the spliiting of renown exp and gold
so it got me thinking and i was wondering if it was possible to let you co-op partner take all the renown then do some very E v i l [Evil] things and the world wouldn't view you any different as your partner took all the renown

if this is possible i can think of some very cool things todo

You're mixing up Renown and Alignment. You would still appear E v i l [Evil], but you wouldn't be more famous for it.

The man has got it. Renown is just how well known you are, the E v i l [Evil] and G o o d [Good] scale is a completely different thing.

    thanks

but im still thinking if my partner took all of the renown then no one in the world would know my character had done something E v i l [Evil] so you could do something E v i l [Evil] without fearing people treating you differently

or am i just plain crazy

people would still fear you but your fame wouldnt increase, as a previous post stated, you are confusing alignment with renown.

    Co-op children?

So my wife and I are looking forward to Fable 2.  Especially with all the chatter of co-op as now,  this time,  we can actually play together instead of one watching the other (she usually watched me (all the mad skillz)).

I had a few questions though concerning the co-op and cant for the life of me find anything concerning them.

    1)  Is it possible for co-op players to marry?

    2) Is it possible for co-op players to have children?

Also concerning co-op.  A hear a lot of people talking about co-op online but imho, I hope there will be options to include some form of restrictions.

For example, I would be livid if I was to find someone who joined my game completely whipe out my family.  I'm sure those of you who enjoy ruining the fun, but hard earned time of another, would tickle you pink...   but there are those of us who would not be amused in the slightest if this was to happen.  Are there any safety protocols one could take to protect us from the immature?

I personally dont want to see co-op online if someone can march in my game and destroy my hard earned achievements (housing, communities, family, and respect amongst people).  There needs to be some sort of safeguard for this.

    3) The game is all about balance.  Hopefully we'll see fighters just as G o o d [Good] as range fights just as G o o d [Good] as mage fighters and it'll all be give and take depending on your path.  However I've read that because so many people played G o o d [Good] in Fable 1, they're making it harder to be G o o d [Good] this time around.  My question is this,  will it still be balanced if you're E v i l [Evil] or G o o d [Good]?  Will both sides be even on combat ability and their ability to make money and earn rewards or is it going to favor E v i l [Evil] now in every way?

I don't have any answers to your first two questions, it would certainly be interesting to know, but I do know there is a safety feature that you will be able to put on that will not allow a co-op player to kill your family.  So, a little like friendly fire.  Wink [;)]

Here is an article that talks about the option a little.  Smily [:)]

There is conflicting information on this topic. In one video I saw PM says no to co-op relationships. However there is an audio interview in which PM states that it is possible but it would have to enabled or something like that and he will see what he can do. There is also another interview ( I can't remember which format though) in which when asked about co-op relationships PM says hmmm that would be interesting wouldn't it just like when asked about online multiplayer and other things that he wasn't allowed to officially announce.

I cant remember where I heard it but PM did mention precautions before. This however conflicts with the whole be careful who you invite comments he made.

I myself am also hoping that we can have co-op relationships as it is something that my girlfriend has shown alot of interest in.

    Thank you Ralph H. Baer
