I like the LE, and i would get it, but given i am in Greece where Live is not supported, i will not be able to get the extra DL content which is huge as Sam suggested for the game, so i will miss half the fun

So, i will wait for a PC version

I hope they see that will loose millions and millions of sales that way, and find a way to give the full game to everyone

No, you're not missing jack ***. You're missing nothing more then some extra content, that's it. It does not effect the story and it's not completing the game when you download the content. Both games are exactly the same, one just has some ies and the other doesn't.

Unless you have a link that states LE has more story then the RE, then please, by all means, show me. Other than that, stop making this crap up.

Hey Hope, put down for a LE. As long as you pre-order, the store is guaranteed to hold a copy for you, no matter what. Or at least, in the US.

All you need is a DSL internet conection. Unfortunately you can't get on XBL through dialup. What's so hard about getting a DSL connection??? You don't have to pay for XBL since the LE of the game comes with a trial period of gold membership and after that you can just stick with a silver membership that costs nothing and still allows you access to a lot of cool stuff. I LOVE XBL. It's absolutely magnifficent.

I really hope MS close doors some day, so things like that stop

Plus i will have to get the PC version, i am not paying a penny for half the game, especially when they deliberatly choped it off, to sell it later on Live and the extended version

If that is how MSand Liohead treats gamers, then i will have to move to PC and PS3, hope FF13 is much better and is not half the game and full only for a 10% gamers

Will the pub games be in the game when it comes out?  So I won't have to switch out of the game to play them?  Because I don't have LIVE, I have dialup.  I can travel a ways to friends houses to mooch connenection off them.  And so I do have a silver account.  But will I need the connection to play the games?

I will buy the LE because its Limited.  Even if it only came with a free sticker.  I would love to give Lionhead an extra $20 for making the game.  Where should I preorder it?  Gamestop?

Anyways the LE edition isn't the full game, its the full game plus more.  Whereas the regular edition is just the full game, right?

The more I have heard about Fable II the more I think I will have a fun time playing it.  Lionhead is a devoloper that I trust to make exceptional games.   I know that when I buy Fable II it will be one of the besst game ever made.  That is worth the $70 dollars.

Hmmm, wait a minute.  Fable II takes place 500 years later, right?  Could a sequal take place another 500 years later?  I proudly proclaim that Fable III speculation can begin.

Anyone know who the "participating retailers" are, I would hate to pre-order and not be able to download the Pub Games for free, becouse I orderd from some place thats not Participating.

And who said you won't be able to "play the whole story" if you get the standard edition?  It's called "extra" in-game content, not "necessary" in-game content.  Also, I've no doubt that the "Behind the Scenes" video will pop up on video hosting sites but guess what...that's illegal.

So basically you're saying that the limited edition is bad because people will illegally upload the making of videos, because of extra in-game content you don't even know about, and because the hobbe figure might be small although you don't really know.

Before you judge the limited edition's worth let's at least wait until we get more information.  But all in all, as others have said, if the limited edition is not something that interests you then don't buy it.

Preach it Mort. I really hate seeing people complain about features that as of yet are unknown. But you know, people have been doing that with Fable 2 all along, whining about things that haven't been confirmed yet.

The only thing I would complain about is that it's an extra $20, since that's just peaking over my price range. But, in a few months I'll have the money. I'm looking forward to all the neat little extras the LE will have. And I should also mention that this will likely be the first LE I'll ever have bought.

I think the price of the LE is perfectly fair. If you think about it, all LE & CE games are usually 69.99 because of extra content. The only difference with Fable 2 LE is that it includes the pub games, which are 800 MS points. (AKA 10 bucks) Total of 79.99.

Wow, the ignorance in so many people really makes me doubt the survival of the human race... I really think that people these days go out of their way to be stupid. Sure, you guys may think I am being too rough on these people, but can you actually deny it? I swear, people are so dumb. I'm sorry, but I have to say it. If you don't want to spend the money, then don' get it and, most of all, don't complain about it. No, remember, the Standard Edition, also, comes with the pub-games. If you pre-order either edition, you get them free in August. If you don't pre-order, you get them for free when you get the game. If you don't want to wait, but can't pre-order, you can pay 800 MS Points ($10 U.S.) in August.

(BTW RageFanatic, my rant above was not about you. It was regarding the OP and people like him.)

I don't think they skrewed it up at all. It's going to be a wonderful game, and the LE, edition has a lot of add on stuff, like tattoos, dog tricks, a disc on the Dev Diary's, that is longer than the originals, you know, with extra footage, hobb figure, for those who like that, kinda thing, a little bit of everything. Something for everyone, and that might not be all of it. Lot's of time, hours, sweat and love was put into it. I probably will buy it just for the memories, alone. Besides, I love Fable games. Can't wait, been to long.Sorry! Been doing a lot of reading.Walking away now.
