Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots
So beautiful especialy the permanant volcano one. I don't know much but have they got the AI right so you can have battles with your enemy non scripted on these places yet. Not to matter, brilliant pics.
I have yet to see any with trees or mines yet though.
A cooked grenade? You mean fried or boiled?

Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots
Well, the volcano script is rather crude. I'll put the snippet up on the WIKI once I've properly tested it.

Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots
Hi, I'm new, just thought I'd show you what I've been doing with my tester map, complete with trees, rocks, ores, fields, grass and sheep. I also added camels, but unfortunately they're not animated and they "glide" across the landscape.

Edit: SHADOWCODE, I too would love to see how you created the volcano

Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots
Had a play around with the editor since yesterday now, think I'm getting the hang of it.
Anyway, opinions anyone?

The right island hasn't been detailed at all yet, so just your opinions on the left side please.
@lichoppa123 maps looking nice so far, bit of an odd colour scheme though... unless you were going for a "dream" look
@Beckling wow, looking nice! looks rather smooth though.

I'm still trying to learn how to texture proper.
Its a map im making for phil, he said he wanted one with a greek empire with no enemies, so thats what im doing (i'll make a version with enemies)
I just finished the land geometry, now to texture and then add trees\town\weather

Im going for a flat main area for great empire buildings, and the mountains appeal to me ![Big Smile [:D]](/Emoticons/grin.gif)
@newguys
Nice maps guys! Welcome to the forum
@Daroh

Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots
@Daroh: Well I wanted lots of flat areas for building and expansion and such, the idea of idyllic sandy beaches with grassy dunes appeals to me somewhat

Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots
 Quoting: Lion911good map jackmix but in the middle might be a little too flat, maybe add a hill to add texture to it. ![Happy [:)]](/Emoticons/happy.gif)
I cant do it. Layer cost exceeds 2000 ![Sad [:(]](/Emoticons/depressed.gif)
Oh well, I'll just start a new, smaller one that one was WAY BIGGER than I expected

Look at the toolbar where the pig, sun, ect. are and click on the one that has a monkey on it. It should open a display creature screen. Make sure creature is checked under view.

Incidentally, has anybody figured out yet how to make curving roads? I've looked about the forums and also in the help files for the editor, but haven't had much luck.
