Granted its not exactly "my" style, i have to admit that it is pretty good... +rep Note:I will probably give rep to anyone that completly finishes a map(if i think its good). You will have earned it Happy [:)]

EpicAce, that looks great so far i really like the way youve modeled that, will look great with textures and Who?, that also looks awesome. On your second screen the mountains on the far left are maybe a bit sharp but thats a minor preference of mine. Looks like fun though, is it scripted?

Why do everyone use such tiny walls? I've placed a fullsized creature in front of the wall for comparison.

Nope, not yet. I'm still messing with some things on the map, but once I do start scripting, I'm sure I'll need some help...

He's one I'm doing for Phil. Spiffington's already completed it, but I'm making one too just to practice using this program and scripting. 'Tis the slope of bloody doom!

Wink [;)] Thanks. I do like a bit of gore every now and again. I'm having problems with that map though. It'll load happily enough but now I need to write a script to spawn villigers/soldiers every time you click the idol. Ah well, it'll be fun to figure out. Here's another map I'm working on. A copy of one of the original skirmish maps. I'm gonna do all of them as bases for other people to md/script

    Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots

You can use any part of the script from the squish map i made if you like, or i could try and make something that spawns villagers. Trouble is two things though 1. Its hard to keep track of the number of villagers you have unless they are part of a town, and youd need a town centre for that i think. But if you have a town centre they all go over and sit by that instead of standing where you can get a clean shot at them with a boulder. The number of villagers you have is a good number to calculate if youre doing a challenge like "kill this many in this time" 2. I havent quite figured out the script to get villagers to spawn within a specified radius. Its simple enough to get 200 or more to spawn but i think theyd all just stand on each other. Not that ive tested it though Also, if you start off the basic outline of the 1v1 skirmish map, i'd love to script it or texture it

    Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots

I'm fine with the land formation and texturing so I'll have a go at the 1v1 map for you to script if you want. Probably have a go at it this weekend Happy [:)] What if at the bottom of each slope a town centre was placed and made invisible (I'm still not 100% sure what that alpha tool does). Then all the townspeople will gather around their appropriate town centres, in preparation for squishing. Or the building would just hinder the progress of the rock of doom...

That looks a lot like the one from BnW1 MultiplayerShocked [:o] Great work! I'll spend a few minutes on mine now. I'll post some progress pics later. (It's going slow because I don't have a lot of time)

    Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots

i decided to try and make my own 1v1 version of te skirmish map but my BnW1 seems broken.. it loaded up fine first time but now whenever i load it up i get terrible artefacting in screen so the games unplayable and, more importantly, i cant take any reference screenshots.. ive only got two to work with so far - an overview of the whole map (low detail) and a close up of your first town and temple. if anyone could help me out by either finding or taking some more screens of the map, id appreciate it

    Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots

right well heres what ive got so far, this one is going to take an age to get right. This is an attempt to duplicate your main village in the original games 1v1 skirmish map masterofallgods, that looks fine so far, you obviously just need to spend more time on it, 20 minutes isnt much time to get anything other than a skeleton of a map

    Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots

Very nice map, Spiffington. What rock texture are you using? I can't seem to figure out scripting, I'm completely lost. So...I've decided to just make landscapes, and if someone wants to do the scripting, they can, because I have no clue what I'm doing...

    Re: New/Edited Maps Screenshots

its in the generic folder, MountainRounded01 i think. Also with a dirt ground layer as the base underneath, as its partialy transparent. The dirt layer is coloured dark green. If you can follow the scripting tutorial and get your map ingame then thats the hardest part done, otherwise look through the script functions thread and post your problems. Start simple and work your way up
