I hate the whole eating and morality thing. I just want to kick some ass. Yes i like that good vs bad thing. Keep that but dont make it so complex.

well maybe you should play a different game. plus you don't have to eat in fable, i only used food to regen health. you seriously don'y like the good/bad thing? then i really think you should play a different game - there are planty of mindless hack and slash games out there, get one of them.

There are plenty of games that allow copious amounts of ass kicking and little else. God of War for one, every shooter that was ever made, and so on and so on. Fable falls neatly into the gap of having all the best bits of sluggish and boring RPGs with the frenetic arse kicking satisfaction of more action orientated games, it's this balance that made it great.

That is what makes me love Peter M's games. He goes the extra step to make realistic beutifull games. He goes so far in depth that you are fully emerserd in it. The problem is there are people who dont want the extra step they just want an easy hack and slash with a little bit of a story. They dont want changing landscape, beutifull sunsets, insect life shown in game, or large scale story development. There may be more people like 'outofthepark44 who feel that way who play fable, but your on the fable boards where most every member who posts in here is a die hard Lionhead fan who loves them all for there level of detail. Most of us arnt looking for a hack slash game we want the great story, visuals, and easy playability.

I want to play a game, that game being Fable 2. I want my actions to affect my character that I create. Mindless hack-n-slash games are just that, mindless. I want the game to make me think about the choices, make me feel as if every choice I make will have an impact on the world. I want to feel as if I am part of that world, I want to be immersed into the world. I want many things, we can't have everything we want though.

It's just that thoughtfully developed and imaginative games are so frustratingly scarce that to wish LH would downgrade the fable franchise to yet another one-track fighting game would kill the fanbase and ensure that we never see another fable after this. Not that they would downgrade....not with PM there. We need MORE games that make you feel as if you are the character not just someone playing a character.

ass kicking is overrated, i like a bit of wondering, dressing up, buying things, shmoozing, dancing, romancing. all the great stuff of the fable franchise.. it's not SO obvious i'm a girl is it?

If you want to just kick ass this isn't the game for you might i suggest the most mindless ass kicking game there is the "Kingdom Under Fire Series"

i like the choice between good and evil, plus there is still plenty of as kicking going on whether you worry about being bad or good fable was/is a great game because of those choices IMO (the extras make it amazing)
