Overlay Request Thread
The only thread where Overlays can be requested!


Because of the recent flood of different threads about overlays and requests, we decided to dedicate one single thread for all your overlay requirements. This thread can be used to request everything from custom titles to form fit your movie or effects that you want. Below are the guidelines for this thread:


How to request [an] overlay[s] for your movie:

Please make your post in this format, filling out the correct fields:

Studio name:
Movie title:
Genre:
Description of overlay[s]:
Movie screenshot/frame (optional):

Make your descriptions very detailed, especially if its for the credits of a movie. However, keep them not to extensive, you are requesting from someone else and asking their time, the more realistic the overlay, the more realistic the chance of you getting it. Requesitng the impossible from a charity modder is not a idea.

Submitting an overlay for someone:

When submitting an overlay you made for a TMO Studio, include the following:

* Quote the request
* Include the image[s] (overlay) in your post or a way to download the file.

How to make an overlay:

• Overlays Made Simple by Tigereyes A basic guide to overlays ranging from simple to advanced, using the programs Photoshop and MS Paint

How to post an image[s] on the boards:

In order to include an image in your post you’ll have to host it somewhere on the web and use that link in your message. Hosting is not possible on the Lionhead Boards so you’ll need to find free/personal hosting yourself. You can find a lot of useful links with Google.com or MSN Search when searching ‘image hosting’. For linking multiple overlays such as animated content, download at own risk.

When someone made an overlay for you:

The reason why we made this thread is because we don’t want to boards to be filled with different topics all asking for the same thing. If we can keep all requests and results in the same thread it’ll not only look better but people will actually know what to do when they want a poster for their movie. In order to thank someone for their efforts; send them a private message or edit your original post with a ‘thanks to’ note.

Make sure you also give credit in your film to those that help you! This way we can keep this thread ‘clean’! Also Note: Please don't make any post besides a request/result post unless you are working on a complicated overlay in which you can post that message to notify others not to invest their time in that project. However, this thread will not field questions about how to make overlays and all overlays must follow the Terms of Use to be hosted. If you post anything other than a request or thank you, it will be deleted or reported. luck, happy requesting!

Studio name: Bohegan Pictures Movie title: Bite of the Knobgobbler and Trailer of the Knobgobbler Genre: Horror / Comedy (ie it's not scary or funny enough to be one or the other) Description of overlay[s]: Black background. Middle of the screen taking up approx 2/3s of the height is a metallic rectangular frame (tall, not wide). Superimposed on the frame is a side on profile of a Cro-Magnon proto-man. However, where he would normally have hair he has a hard shell with a tortoise-shell-like texture (not like he's wearing it as a hat, it sprouts naturally from his skull). He also has stubby tortoise legs growing out of his head and has no neck or body. Beneath the logo it reads : Bohegan Pictures in carved-from-granite letters. Okay, I need an Overlay. Movie: Proton [Due for release posssibly in a week.] Genre:Sci-Fi Studio: Nightmare06 Description: I'm still Devoloping on the storyline. But I need a either a dramatic explosion for a hero transforming, or an overlay where a huge gun fires and causes mass carnage. If you can post it on 8Eyedbaby that's my preffered modding site. If you pm me or email goldenagestudios@aol.com with each image in your gif sig than i'll transfer it to overlays. It would be a pain to re-create something you've already done, so if you have each image broken down, then can you send them seperatley and i'll resize each image to overlay 512x512 and make them dds. If it hasn't been done already (and if animated overlay requests are allowed), how about an animated version of the "water on the camera lense" overlay? With a few drops that splatter across the screen, and maybe a dribble or two...? And if you want to get REAL fancy, how about a variation that is a car windscreen, with wiper blades sweeping back and forth? (Could be too much like hard work, I know...) [Edit: cool! I could use that rain splatter overlay in UPM!]
