Yes, that is the size your overlays should be when you put them in-game, but I advise you to make your overlays at 912x512 pixels, then when you are done, resize it to 512x512 pixels and save it as a .dds and then put it in game. Why? Because how your overlay looks at 912x512 pixels is how it will appear in game. Wink [;)]

    I'm using Photoshop 7.0

    Mac OS 8.1

    Plug-in (DDS) for this?

Thank you for taking the time to answer my questions.

Sadly, I don't think there is a DDS plug-in for the Mac or a DDS converter. Sad [:(]

However, I managed to find this program here which suppposedly should be able to save files as .dds. Smily [:)]

Eobaggs...expanding on your advice from earlier:

I'm no this forum using my PC...I wonder if I can simply transfer any art that I've made on my MAC and dump it into a DDS conversion prog and save it there.

I can save PC formatted art in MAC  Photoshop.

    What'cha think?

Well, that should work. Smily [:)]

Just save it in PC format then send the files to your own e-mail and then open the e-mail on your PC and viola. Smily [:)]

The or in that post?  "for" a dds converter? or a prog that converts to dds files?

    Also:

However, I managed to find this program here which supposedly should be able to save files as .dds.

Would I be better off just loading the program from the link you posted? Or, getting one that you, yourself use? (given I'll be translating/saving files created in photoshop)

And, how should my original files be saved? (png, gif, raw ???)

    Thanks Smily [:)]

Yeah, try downloading the one I showed you. It looks G o o d [Good]. Smily [:)]

The one that I use, isn't for the Mac. Wink [;)]

I usually save mine in .jpg format. Wink [;)]

why not use my spinning planets pack which can be found here and put them on your green screen (s+e exp only) and create your scene that way.

    2-Niclas-2:
I don't understand how I make them myself, so let's see what You can Studio: Jacobsen Picture Productions Title: Black Sails 2 Genre: Pirate (action/horror) Descriptions: Overlay 1: The text is: Jacobsen Picture Productions presents And the letters must be old and made of gold (yellow) or silver (grey). Overlay 2: The text is: Black Sails II And the letters should be old just like the others, and in the same color. It's VERY important that the number is II and not 2. I might post for some more overlays later with some names of the VO's.

Hows this. If you like it just convert it to dds with dds converter.
