What a relief. I know you've been swamped with all the gods popping up here, there and everywhere. So give me a holler when you feel you can handle it and i'll post my god description.

Re: The Aztec god: The beguining of a god

Chapter 42 “Unearthing an evil,” Spire returns to the Aztec Capital where Thrall was working on rebuilding the capital after the Greeks invaded. “Spire, I am glad you are back, this letter came to the temple after you left, it is addressed to you. I thought I should take a look at it just in case it was a trap but it is blank. Anyway I though I should give it to you anyway, I thought you could make more sense of it than I can,” Thrall said handing Spire the blank sheet, “Thank you Thrall,” Spire said taking the letter, Thrall nodded and went back to keeping the villages in check. Spire looked at the black sheet for a while and then smiled. He then placed his hand over the sheet and waved it around. Suddenly words appeared on the sheet like they had been there the whole time, or had they? Spire read the letter which said, Dear Spire If you are reading this then you have realised what I have done. The matter I wish to speak to you about is top secret and I do not wish for anyone else to know of what I am about to tell you. I am in great peril, a new Goddess, Axielles, is threatening to wipe out my people using her spider minions. Not even my strongest warriors can stop them and my creature is being overpowered by the arachnids. If there was any a time I needed the power of the earth, it was now, please hurry I don’t know how long I can last. Take a portal to the wastelands, just west of the valley of the dead. There you will find my town. Kukulcan The letter seemed to be from his old friend, Kukulcan. Spire thought he would never hear from the god again but as happy as Spire was to hear from Kukulcan the circumstances were not what Spire would call welcoming. Never the less, his friend needed him and Spire would not let some new Goddess think she is better than the earth and the sky. Spire quickly gathered a force of enlisted warriors, archers and swordsmen and his creature, Sundavar and they headed through a portal to where Kukulcan had told him to go and he headed to the wastelands with his small army. As Spire traveled closer to Kukulcan’s town he could sense the great evil that Kukulcan mentioned. “Kukulcan’s town should just be over this……..” Spire said as he marched his army over a hill from the portal. When Spire saw what had brought him here he was shocked. “Nothing could have prepared you for this ay,” Someone said next to Spire. Spire looked to his side and saw Kukulcan, looking very tired and weak. “What is happening?” Spire said turning back to Kukulcan’s town the wooden walls had crumbled in all places possible and the armies of Kukulcan were trying to defend against the huge spider minions of this Axielles. Norsu was doing what he could to squash the oversized bugs but the town would be lot soon. “For weeks now these spiders, minions of Axielles, have been attacking my town, mostly at night when my forces are weak and hers are strong. I have done what I can but my energy is running low. That message was my last hope to save my town.” Kukulcan explained, “Its ok Kukulcan, I am here now, you go back to your temple and rest your remaining energy, I have you town under control.” Spire said sending his army charging down the hill to hit the right flank of the spider army whilst his wolf went through a breech in the wall to help defend the gate. “By my fire, all shall be undone!” Spire shouted summoning a few fireballs and throwing the into the hordes of spiders. The fire scorched the spiders quicker that Spire had thought. The big bugs seemed to catch fire as soon as they fire hit there bodies. The one that were hit rushed towards the gate after being scared by the fire. Sundavar was waiting for them at the gate as was Norsu and both cast fire miracles at the spiders as it seemed to be an effective strategy. “Archers, set your arrows alight, fill the sky with your fire and rain it down on these creatures!” Spire shouted and the archers rained fire down on the spiders, causing more distress as the spiders ran amok. When the armies of Spire finally arrived at the spiders it was almost over. The few remaining spiders were fleeing out of the gate as Norsu and Sundavar had crushed many of there brothers and sisters. The Aztec swordsmen finished off any remaining spiders with ease and only a few casualties were sustained. As the spiders fled Spire set up defensive positions and got his creature to repair the walls with Norsu. Spire walked through the town and watched as the people came out of hiding, some were still a bit scared of Spire but many had heard Kukulcan speak of him as an ally. Spire pushed open the doors of the temple and saw Kukulcan sat on his throne, looking drained. “Are they gone?” Kukulcan asks, “Aye, they are, but you have a serious bug problem here, where have they come from?” Spire asks, “I fear to say that they have been here all along.” Kukulcan said, “What?! You are saying they have been in hiding until now?” Spire asks and Kukulcan nodded, followed by an explanation. “A month or so ago, I started mining scheme to try and get enough to try and build my town larger. But the deeper we dug, the closer we got to her. The miners said they found an answer to our problems. When I took a look I saw that there was a ready made city beneath the mines. The miners found a map down there of an ancient Aztec and Mayan city. There was also gold, enough for a god. The trouble was, it already belonged to a god. As soon as we started looting it they came, thousands of spiders, huge spider as big as horses. The miners didn’t come out of that mine that day. I sensed a great evil down there and had my villages to block up the mine, I even tried to seal it with my powers but she was much more powerful than I. That night they attacked my city, my warriors were fighting even before they realize what they were fighting. I managed to stop them but the next night they came again, and again, slowly weakening my forces. By the end of the week, my town was in ruins. My armies were weak and I was too.” Kukulcan explained, “So these spiders, they only attack at night?” Spire asks, “Always except for today,” Kukulcan answers, “And this mine is the only way in and out of the mountain?” Spire asks, “I don’t know, there could be loads more but this one is the only one close enough to do harm, the rest are at the other side of the mountain and it would take ages for them to get here. Why?” Kukulcan asks, “Because whatever you have awakened is going to keep attacking until we put a stop to it,” Spire says, “But how?” Kukulcan asks, “You said they only come out at night, except for today?” Spire asks, “Yes,” Kukulcan answers looking slightly confused, “It dark today, the clouds have blocked out the sun because you are weakened, they don’t like the light and with you as weakened you can do nothing to stop the clouds from blocking out the sun, making them able to attack at any time. You need to get praying right away, Leave my forces to defend the city. I will work up a plan,” Spire said walking out of the temple, leaving Kukulcan confused at what Spire was planning. “General!” Spire shouted, “Yes sir,” Spire general said rushing to his view. “Keep the soldiers on night watch, rest them now, we wont have any trouble for a while,” Spire said, “Aye sir,” The general said not asking why Spire wanted his men on night watch, it was best not o argue with Spire. “Tonight, the ground will soak red, but tomorrow, it shall be green,” Spire said smiling to himself as he marched to the mines in search of inspiration for an idea to kill this menace.

Re: The Aztec god: The beguining of a god

Isn't it weird, don't you think, that this thread has more views and replies than the stickies put together? Not that it's a bad fanfic, but it's just weird really. EDIT: The views and replies, not the fanfic I mean Wink [;)].

People dont see Fanfics as important a thread to make into a stickey, that doesnt make them any less than stickies.

But stickies are always at the top, and they've been around a lot longer than this thread I mean.

Re: The Aztec god: The beguining of a god

Chapter 43 “Coming face to face with a thousand eyes,” Spire marched towards the mines in hope that inspiration for a plan would come to him once he saw the area and scale of the threat he was dealing with. The march seemed to take him up hill, giving the spiders a big advantage over the warriors at the bottom of the hill. The ground seemed dry and cracked; obviously the weather wasn’t helping on Kukulcan’s part as mortal’s seemed at there weakest in hot conditions, then again, any extreme seemed to make them weaker. When Spire reached the mine he saw that miners were constructing some sort of barrier against the threat that lingered down the mine. They had watch towers guarding the mine at all times and some troops were marching by the entrance to the mine just in case the spiders attacked. The workers stopped working as Spire approached the mine; they seemed scared of his very presence as if they had never felt the cold chill of an evil gods presence, “So they should fear me, I am Spire, the Aztec god of the earth, and I will make short work of this new goddess who thinks that she can stop my rein of tyranny.” Spire thought to himself a he approached the mine. As strong as Spire was he couldn’t help but feel a slight chill as he approached the entrance to the mine as the evil essence of this new goddess burst out of the mine as if she knew he was there and was taunting him. Spire knew now that as powerful as he was he shouldn’t underestimate another god, even if he knows there weakness. The essence seemed to get stronger by every second that went by until it was incredibly strong. Spire looked down the hole and saw what only could be described as a purple light coming up from the mine. As it got closer Spire felt more insecure until it became a burning sensation telling him to move now! Spire followed his instinct and dived out of the way just as the purple light burst up from the mine and exploded a couple of meters in the air. Then, a purple-green liquid rained down all over the workers who hadn’t seen the light until it had turned into the liquid. Seconds later the workers dropped dead, without warning, they just died. The warriors too just seemed to collapse and die. Spire looked around not knowing what to do or what he was dealing with. Suddenly he heard a cackling from down the mine and could feel someone approaching him. As Spire moved away from the mine and prepared his mace and shield he saw a figure emerge from the mine. It was a weird silhouette, like that of a spider, yet this was no ordinary spider. “Hello Spire, I am so glad I finally get to meet the god who almost had the world at his fingertips,” The figure said, it was a woman. “Show yourself to me coward or I will show you how I conquered the world!” Spire snapped at the figure. “My, my, such a temper. Never mind, I like a god with a bit of fire in him,” The figure chuckled, “It’s a shame that you spiders can’t stand fire, ow well,” Spire chuckled and produced a fireball in his hand. Then with as much force as he could, he chucked the fire t the figure who was still shadowed by the mine. There was a mighty explosion as the fireball hit something in front of the figure, like a shield and scattered across the entrance of the mine. The fire revealed the figure as some sort of spider woman, her skin green and her short spiky hair purple. Her lips were also purple and her fingers were long and bony. The woman laughed as the scorching flames died down. “All you had to do was ask,” She cackled as she emerged from the mine entrance. Spire had never seen such a horror. Her very presence seemed to strike fear into him just like he struck fear into the miners. Was this just a first look scare or was her appearance more frightening than Spire realised. Shaking it off he said, “You are Axielles aren’t you?” Spire said remembering what Kukulcan said, “Yes I am but you can call me sweet heart,” Axielles said coming closer to Spire an reaching out to him and stroking his chin. Spire didn’t know what to do, it was like he was under some sort of spell and unable to fight it. “Enough! I am Spire, the Aztec god of the earth!” Spire proclaimed, “I already know that sweetie,” Axielles said softly, still trying to charm Spire with some sort of spell. “Then you will know never to anger me, for I do some very dangerous things when I am angry and I make sure I leave my victims with nothing,” Spire spat at Axielles. Axielles came closer to Spire and whispered in his ear. “That’s funny, that’s exactly what I do to my victims, only I really do take everything from them,” and she gave a hissing sound and bared some very deadly looking fangs and bit into Spires neck with them. A greeny-purple liquid could be seen flowing from Axielles fangs and into Spire’s neck, it spread further and further through Spire’s neck, and he seemed unable to do anything about it. Suddenly there was a clash of thunder and a few lightning strikes before one huge bolt crashed to the ground where Axielles was standing and struck her. The lightning fried her body as it surged through her, finally blasting her away from Spire and down the mine where she screamed as she fell down until there was a faint crash as she hit the bottom. Kukulcan then turned to Spire who was clutching his throat and trying to speak, but for some reason was unable to ge a word past his throat. “Come Spire, we must make hast to my town, I know someone who will be able to help you,” Kukulcan said almost like he knew exactly what to do in this situation and with a flash on lightning, he and Spire vanished back to Kukulcan’s city. When they arrived at the city Kukulcan hastily dragged Spire to his temple. Spire’s body had now become weak and he could no longer walk on his own. In fact he was becoming a lot harder to drag too. Kukulcan picked Spire put and carried him to the temple. The temple doors blew open as Kukulcan approached them and he walked into the temple and towards an alter in the centre of the temple, where he lay Spire’s lifeless body down. “Argetlam!” Kukulcan yelled, “Yes Kukulcan,” Argetlam said appearing from the shadows. He noticed Spire’s body on the alter and shook his head and said, “He got bit didn’t he?” Argetlam said after a few seconds of looking at Spire’s body. Kukulcan sighed and nodded, and then said, “He was bitten by her, Axielles. Does that mean that it will be harder to neutralize?” “Yes, it would. She would have a stronger dosage and since it was in the neck it would make the process quicker than usual,” Argetlam sighed, “But can you cure him before the poison drains all his power and Axielles absorbs it?” Kukulcan asks, not wanting Axielles any more powerful than she already was. “Possibly, but I would need some of the poison she injected into Spire,” Argetlam said examining the fang wound. “I will get it from her, even if it means ripping the venom sack from her throat. She has attacked my town for weeks now, killed my warriors and villages that her minions can find. But this time she has gone too far, and the price for taking the earth is the full force of the sky. Bring on the thunder!” Kukulcan shouted rising his arms into the air. The clouds swirled viciously in the sky and lighting cracked in the clouds, splitting them in two as the did. The roar of the thunder struck fear into every man who heard it and made all the women cry. Even Norsu was silent as the thunder roared. Hurricane winds blew across the land, ripping up trees and throwing them for miles. Back at the mine, Axielles stood outside the mine, her body scorched and her skin scared. She laughed and said, “Without the sky the earth was subdued. Without the earth the sky will fall. Let him bring his winds, they will not scare me off this land,”
