Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

Well im not somebody who really hates the new site but from the small amount of time i was a member for when the other site was running, i prefered the old 1.

Also some of my posts which i could really use now i think must of gotten deleted or something because they're gone.

Well i cant complaine much, the sight is free and every1 on here (well nearly every1) respects other pplz etc..

Decided I'd post because I've noticed some new badges and want my own Stick out tongue [:P]

Can I be "Village Idiot" or something like that? Just because it'd be cool Cheeky [:cheeky:]

Oh, plus, my post issues that had their own thread haven't been cured or resolved, and the thread's getting old now... Rolleyes []

What I'm wondering though if we are still able to get the "Former" badges once we reach a certain post count?  This thought was rolling in my head a couple days ago.  I also had a look at the other badges and they look pretty nice.  G o o d [Good] job LionheadWink [;)]Up []

Eh, I don't think so.  That would just encourage mass posting anyways.  Ick! [+o(]

Not that I want to crush your creativity or anything, but how can you be given a a former badge of something you never were Surprise [:O]?

Not to mention the whole.... HK/MK weren't about spamming (i.e. having massive postcount). Rolleyes [] As they're the only 'former' badges, I'm assuming that's what you were talking about.

I think it's been said, but how can you be a former something you never were? Stick out tongue [:P]

If anything, they'd have to give a "Post Count whore" badge Cheeky [:cheeky:]

Well, it was just a weird thought that was pondering my head one night (was a little tipsy).  Anyways, I do like the other new badges and hopefully they get into effect for everyone soon Up [].

They aren't "going into effect" for everyone.  Rather members that administrators, moderators, or former high karma members feel deserve them.  Wink [;)]

That is very strange and shouldn't be happening!  Now the problem is that we might not be able to do anything about it, there is only so much control we have...

Next time it happens to you, and you've got a spare minute, try to login at http://forums.forzamotorsport.net/forums/default.aspx as I think they use the same system.

can I just add I think it's getting increasingly tenuous calling this thread  "The New Community Site: Feedback" - I mean, it's been eight months now! It can't pretend it's the first day at work forever, you know...Wink [;)]

You can't? I keep pretending this at work all day long. I also say I won't come the other day either because I will find a better paid job, but well ... I'm stucked. Wink [;)] Sad [:(]

At least we can change the subject of our posts nowadays. Not a permanent solution for a renaming of the thread but at a start. Wink [;)]

The work on this site seems fairly slow. I know that Lionhead is busy with developing games, but I expected more to come in eight month after the launch. At least I can't complain about things not working, except for the Extended Message Box Editor which still does not work in Opera. On the other hand side Opera has not finished revision 9.5 which worked perfectly the last time I tested a devlelopers build of it. I've got used to the limited basic Message Box.

Everyone should boycott Ubisoft and their new Online DRM for PC games. This has gone too far in the reduction of the rights of users and I am sick of it! It is not made to fight piracy, but to control the customer.

Bravo sir - I salute you on your attempted thread name changeSmily [:)]

EDIT - does anyone know how IE8's vaunted web standards compatability will change any of this btw - I've not had any time or real inclination to look into it. I mean, we're still on Ie6 at work until we get railroaded...

Heh, just found out that we can attach polls in our private messages.  Stick out tongue [:P]

I also found a button in private messages that would allow you to attach files, but I get a "You do not have permission to upload or link to files. Please contact your system administrator." error.  Indifferent [:|]

I get the pop ups also but, I just push the little red x  and I can usually continue.
I also receive warnings, to be careful about pulling up your web sight. I pull
you up anyway. I love fable.

Re: The New Community Site: Feedback

It is pretty trendy with its clean and modern simplistic design.Smily [:)] White is a G o o d [Good] backround colour and text is easier to read.Glasses [8)] I like all the customisation you can do but I myself have had several problems with the profile.

Though it is a bit bland in one sense. Fable is about G o o d [Good] G o o d [Good]and E v i l [Evil],E v i l [Evil] magic and might, heroes and villains. It should tingle your senses with the magic of the site. Disappointed [:isappoin]

Apart from that well done! G o o d [Good] luck on F2! Byz! Big Smile [:D]

Yeah they did. That really is quite bizarre. Stick out tongue [:P] I'd just gotten used to the last orientation and was almost to the point of being able of navigating blind like I could with VB, but no...they go and mix themselves up. Big Smile [:D]
