    Re: Riley's Modding Updates

Ahh -- so it does respond... eventually...?

I see what's going on now.  I'm reading the filename from the beginning to look for numbering, and choosing according to that.  In your case (and probably others'), it's over-choosing.  Since I try to pre-load all the texture files into memory, it sits there loading probably hundreds of files in, and appears to hang.

I'll rethink the way I'm handling the double-click thing.  I'll specifically test for *_v##.dds first.  (Part of the issue here is I don't always name my image files that way, prior to conversion, cause I'm weird. Stick out tongue [:P] )

Yes, eventually.  It didn't help that Windoze put "Not Responding" in the title bar of the application during that excessive load time.

    Re: Riley's Modding Updates

For the couple of people experiencing problems with the Texture Manager during start-up...  I've put together a little diagnostic application that should help tell me how to fix the problem.  Check my blog for details.  I'm hoping to get that fixed up at the same time as I fix the double-click issue.

I've been distracted from The Movies stuff for the past month, but plan to put some work in on the AA-Prop application this weekend (we have a long weekend here in Canada).

    Re: Riley's Modding Updates

I'm always learning more about programming in DirectX.  I have some updates in the works for the Texture Manager, including the fixes for BiggsTrek's issue.  Among the updates will be some much-needed improvements to the texture layering functionality.  There's a lot of common code between it and the upcoming AA-Prop Maker, however, so it'll be some time before that is released.

The last entry on my blog mentioned a "chooser interface for costumes, heads, and hair styles".  Here's a peek at what I meant by that:

Click on the little clothes hanger icon, and it pops up with a dialog box used to visually choose the costume.  It highlights the current choice (I'll probably change the colour there).  There will be similar dialog boxes for choosing hair styles, generic heads, and Starmakers.

Sweet.  One question though.  How does a giant brain type, without any hands?

    Hello, it's me too.

    I carried off the cabinetbook in the testroom, it's G o o d [Good].

But, others ini files are not function: the sample-room01 for example.

    What's the problem.

Else, r3tm is very exciting, extractprop is cool. I make a french subway (station and train) on 8eyedbaby.

    Dress2prop is cool too.

    Thank you

I would suggest posting these questions directly to Riley on his website.  Since he is the developer, he can answer these questions for you.  Go HERE and click on the comments section under Revisiting Meshes.  There you can post your question, leave a name and email contact and Riley should address your needs as soon as he can get to it.

    Ok, it's G o o d [Good], but with bugs with windowframes 04 and 06.

I succeed to make a wall with window, but not with a full room.

    Thank you
