what? why would they not work on Saturday or Sunday. I'm sorry, and I still love Lionhead, but that is very stupid. Say it takes 3 years to make a game. There are 52 weeks in a year. 52*2=104, 104*3=312. They are missing nearly a third of their possible development days.

How 'bout you work three years in a row without a single day off and see how you like it?

First of all, I never said that they should work without taking any days off. I was saying that always having those two days as a solid schedule only makes it much slower. Of course, they don't need to work 7 days a week, every week. Plus, who knows, I could be wrong. Maybe they have it all planned out and have been working long days and working hard and fast ever since day one, so that they can make up for those weekends.

Also, I am 16 and I go to school on weekdays, do homework, then go to work on Friday and Saturday or Sunday, so I get 1 day per week to just do what I want. I'll be the first to say that I hate it, but this definitely wont be my career (cashier...) so there is no way I'm gonna like it.

I think most of us here have gone to school and held a job at the same time (I'm sure many on these forums are doing it presently actually).  There's nothing unusual about that.

My point is that Lionhead is a business.  Like most businesses they have a standard schedule.  I know Sam has been known to go up on his days off but I don't think they actually schedule employees on the weekends.  I'm sure as Fable 2 gets closer to release they'll all start working extra hours during crunch time.  But frankly I don't blame anybody for taking a weekend off if their company offers it.

you have a point...posting a video isnt really..bah..no ones gonna wanna walk to the office..take the video..and post it on the weekends when they could just play some gears,halo,COD,or other various activities as opposed to going back to the offic.e....

As I've said before, they're probably waiting for Microsoft to give the go ahead. As for Lionhead working on the weekends, well that isn't very fair for them. Belive it or not they have familys too. And they work about 12 hours a day right now. When Fable 2 is closer to release they'll go into "crunch" time where they will be working 6-7 days a week, and pulling 16 hour shifts. So I don't know what anyone is complaining about, developing a AAA title takes time, patience people.

As in regards to the next video diary: it's done, I'm finished with it, and it now lies in the capable hands of the Xbox Live people (I've basically handed them the files over) so I don't have any control as to when exactly it'll be released but it'll be soon I presume.

So, I guess you guys are already in a kind of "crunch" time already?
Or is this a normal work week at Lionhead?
Well on the bright side of things, you guys are making a video game, as opposed to the typical cubicle work, or fast food.

haha ok this is going way farther than it should've lol. I don't think that my schedule is abnormal, but that it is normal, which is why it surprised me when you said that they didn't work weekends. Nothing more. I definitely agree that one should take a weekend off when it is offered. Anyway, Sam has just stated that they do work on weekends (at least some) so it doesn't really matter what either of us think, not that it ever did.

Sounds Sam. Thanks for giving us the heads up. I'll be waiting. I'm always happy when something may come out earlier than I exxpect.

They post it the day they receive it because they aren't fixing the unit you sent in they are sending a different refurbished unit to minimize your downtime.
