    Re: The Movies Channel

The Movies Channel eh? That would be awesome to see on Foxtel or Optus, but on the internet will suffice Stick out tongue [:P]

How exactly will it work? Is it like what World Pictures did with WP TV?

    Re: The Movies Channel

It will be simple and complex.

Something that anyone could do, but we will give ourselves to the work of bringing together the largest possible number of videos and display a sequential manner.

Imagine a television channel devoted solely to films created by The Movies.

The operation is simple, will be gradually put in the movies The Movies Channel. They will be divided into categories, are on the site, and will be gradually alternate.

We will create packages of films, which will last a total of approximately 24 hours. The packages will be changed gradually, as the new premieres Friday (date of forecast). That will create more variety.

From beginning, naturally, not begun to work so soon, only having to be a considerable number of films.

So I ask now to help us and begin there links of films in order to be easier.

The channel will be this: http://www.mogulus.com/themovieschannel (for the moment only in tests…)
    Tomorrow will have a website.

If you have any suggestions… strength!
    When news arise know here…

    Thanks

    Re: The Movies Channel

    ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

I hit the link supplied and was blown away by the idea, the presentation and the potential!

    Congratulations!!!

I know the site is in test mode but already I'm imagining all sorts of tie-in possibilities with The Movies On Air, for example, etc.

I urge people to have a quick look at this and offer feedback and suggestions.

There are literally thousands of movies created by the TMO community and very many that are considered classics and old favourites. I see possibilities for "Movie of the Week", "Midday Soap", "Thriller Hour", etc etc etc.

Please continue to update the community on your progress. Are you sure you're ready to accept links now? When does the test period finish? etc.

Have a look, folks - this is very exciting.

    Re: The Movies Channel

Despite the channel still in testing, now accept movies. Because the channel only begins operating in full, when a considerable number of films.

When sending the film, must do so as follows (in order to facilitate our work):

Category movie* - Name Movie - "link of the film"
*(Action, Sci-Fi; Romance, Comedy, Horror; Classic)

Help us also to find the great classics of The Movies.

    More details:

The films will be divided into sequences of 10 films in each category (Action, Sci-Fi; Romance, Comedy, Horror; Classic).

The category "Classic" will show films that are considered true relics of The Movies. (For this category, counting with your help.)

Every 10 films will be held an interval.

With the progress of the project may also occur hours of world premieres of films.

Also if someone here has a webcam and are interested, you can make a program live, the show performs with a film.

    Soon, more…

    Re: The Movies Channel

I've got a crazy suggestion, but it may just work...

You know how there's always an advert break between programs on the TV? Well, you could fill that with spoof adverts from various TMOers and trailers from various TMOers too.... just to fill a gap and leave a gap... ten movies back to back without a break sounds a little tiring Smily [:)]

Just a suggestion, but if you want to do that, it'll be quite easy to nominate a trailer to be used.... anyone who listens to what Roger says I send him on TMOA will know EXACTLY what I mean Devious [:evious:]Big Smile [:D]

Oh - a quick afterthought - how about charging VCs for people to put their adverts in? Stick out tongue [:P]

    EDIT: The news? Laugh []

    Re: The Movies Channel

The idea of the ranges will be to spend even a few minutes of advertising.

In these intervals, you can spend advertising of films that lie ahead (of users, who send us 30 seconds of a trailer of the film, briefly more information), as well as paid advertising.

The advertisement will also be a way to be able to sustain this level project financially.

    Question by the news ...
Well, ate left here a challenge, which is the "director" that the weekly interested in doing a small movie, with a woman sitting at a table to give the latest news on The Movies.

    What I say?

Hi there. This is an excellent idea. Great idea, glad you're doing it.

About the break thing, you accept trailers, yes? and how long?

  •  01-04-2008, 13:15 2829498 in reply to 2829476

    Re: The Movies Channel

    Yes accept trailers.
Aliases the trailers that we send, came already in the air, even at this stage of testing.

We recommend that you have about 30 seconds. They can send in avi, mpg, mov.
Send for email (the trailers): joker.josue@gmail.com

    ---

The site will also have the information on each package of 10 films and the packages that will be shown each week.

    Re: The Movies Channel

Do you want people to post their movie links here, or PM you?

I only ask because if they post here, this thread is going to get awfully long and you might want to keep this as an information thread.

    Re: The Movies Channel

Wow! That's fantastic! I love the site and everything, I think this is gonna be a hit!

I agree with Fred about the commercials, I think spoof commercials are a waste of space, but there are millions of trailers on the site that you could use.

    Re: The Movies Channel

For links of films and trailers (for future premieres) should be sent to the email: movies@themovieschannel.kbanner.com

The sooner send, faster entering the channel to work in full. So begin now to send.

I ask that when sending, make the list of films as follows:
Category movie * - Name Movie - "link of the film"
    * (Action, Sci-Fi; Romance, Comedy, Horror; Classic)

What concerns the publicity, as I said, to be trailers of films, will have other paid advertisements. But the advertising will not have a predominant role at the site, which will be short periods other content in 3 or 4 minutes where there are movies.

I am waiting for a more suggestions and waiting for answers to the challenges offered, which remind:
     - Transmission live, via webcam, the completion of a film at The Movies.
     - A director, willing, in making a weekly newsletter, on the news in the community The Movies. It will be done as a movie, but here is a news.

I hope I have the official site of The Movies Channel, during this week-end.

That's a fabulous concept and from the days of TMO TV there hasn't really been a worthwhile follow up. I look forward to watching this grow and develop over time and will definetly be contributing! Smily [:)]

Hey, this sounds really cool! Smily [:)] I submitted a short, little film for you.

I have a question. In the place where you submit films on your website, I saw at the bottom of the webpage:

"You must complete all the fields, because the film can not be accepted."

Don't you mean "the film will not be accepted"?  Tongue Tied [:S]

Want to say that if they are not completed all fields, the film will not be placed in The Movies Channel.

Inform that the films that have already received are in the air!

Will there be a premiere event where new films may get to premiere in advance on the site?
