I am having the same problem. I have 2 new movies to upload: The Adventures of Commander Rowles: Ghost and On Two Fronts. I wont be able to upload any of them untill the site starts working again.

By the way, where can I find The Movies Channel on my TV? How can I find it?

    Re: The Movies Channel

It's not a TV channel, you can watch it on the computer, but it acts like a TV channel in the sense that you go to the link provided in his sig and a movie will already be in progress. Hope that helps. Up []

    Re: The Movies Channel

I had a look and have a few suggestions.

    - Correct the English, get some help. Not that bad, but worth having it as G o o d [Good] as possible.

    - Give priorities to films with a better resolution than the TMO online version. I don't think there would be any problem with anyone if you were to download films from TMO Hi-Res site. We all want our movies to be seen.

    - Diversify the categories. People are making movies which do not fall under the ones define by the game. Drama. Thriller. Fantasy. And multiple categories (like dramaticomedy).

    - Classics ? Says who?

    - Offer a bigger ''TV'' screen. I don't want to have my eyes 10cm from the screen to watch a movie.

Download the file or install VeohTV player to watch the film.

From now thank each of the suggestions!

Actually I have to apologise ... Not only the best in English!!! I ask your help in this field. All texts not think that the better way, I inform ... Write here or send an email. Thanks.

The resolution of the films, the films that depends entirely sent to the channel. The only restriction is that each file does not have more than 95 MB.

    Nayazu:

Ok .. Enter here all categories who want to see the channel ... He will be. These were just the major in order to open the channel. I thank everyone for, because after a week of channel, we already have gathered more than 8 hours of movies.

    Nayazu:
    - Classics ? Says who?

The idea was for the first films made in The Movies ... But it is not a category of focus.

    Nayazu:

It is of the order to full-screen. The quality is always dependent on movies that send. Let us send films with the best quality possible.

Again, sorry for the English ...

I see, sounds interesting. This may sound incredibly daft though but I myself like to make doubly sure when this channel goes on air will it be a channel available on cable like Virgin cable (formerly Broadband)? or is it just something that will appear online?

Currently it is only online ... Who knows in the future not been on the cable ... The Movies Channel wants to grow, and if we get to that point, was very G o o d [Good] ...

    Re: The Movies Channel

Your English is fine, MoviesChannel. While it takes a little patience, it's not Chinese. Not everyone who goes out of their way to make a substantial contribution to TMO can speak perfect English.

Not everyone uploads in hi-def, either. And visitors to the site can enlarge the TV screen if they wish. There is a chat column at the right hand of the screen where people may discuss what they're watching with each other as the movie plays, for those interested.

Bravo, MoviesChannel. You're doing a terrific and what I suspect is a huge job. I hope you'll be able to insert short gaps between films soon - the transition from one film to the next seems jussst a little abrupt. But, heck, that's a minor quibble.

PS - Just a reminder, dear viewers - if you like what you see on the TV channel, you should log into TMO and give constructive reviews, kudos and VC-stars to the filmmaker. Smily [:)] I know it's all about schlepping from one site to the other, but encouragement never goes astray and keeps TMO alive.

To help in this field, is now available a file with all the texts of The Movies Channel. Who wants to be able to make some adjustments both in the current legislation, but also may make the translation for your language. I hope it will be useful.

You are absolutely right. We recommend that the films are also placed on the TMO (but not mandatory). The Movies Channel, is just one channel that passes the films made, there is no database.

Perhaps - and I don't know if this is possible - a 2 second station promo between films, or, better still, something along the lines of...

You're tuned to The Movies Channel.

Coming up - *titles of the next 3 films*

    (for example)

I've no idea how much work that involves, so apologies if I am suggesting the impossible.

    That is possible ...

Really gives some work ... But when you have more films, in order to have a program guide, can do this, between some movies. Because in all would be a little annoying seen some are small ...

Continued to ask, to send more movies ...

    Soon more news. Wink [;)]

    Re: The Movies Channel

Great suggestion Armand! I was thinking along the same line. I would also like to add that if it is possible, perhaps somewhere along the border of the screen there can be text identifying the title of the movie that is currently showing as well . It shows  the title when it first launches, but if I didn't notice the title I have to jump over to the programing page to get the name when I see the title of the next film. See the example below. And once again if it is only possible to do this it would be great. But if the end result is headaches and glitches, thanks for all you have done thus far!

Absolutely great website by the way and as with anything along this magnetude there's fine tuning to be done.
My hats off to you themoviechannel!
