    ARMAND:

Your English is fine, MoviesChannel. While it takes a little patience, it's not Chinese. Not everyone who goes out of their way to make a substantial contribution to TMO can speak perfect English.

What makes this community great is that it brings people from all over the world together from the simple love of creating and sharing. This is a diverse community with people that speak different languages. I appreciate that TheMoviesChannel is in english when it clearly does not have to be.  I consider it a great courtesy. If it were in any other language I would most likely still watch it, because if the story is done well, then visually it will transcend all language barriers!

Armand hats off to you for knowing this.

     Has any further suggestions?

    Re: The Movies Channel

    Here's a little update/info for themovieschannel.com

I've been checking out the site from time to time during the day and this is what I have found.

People have been raising the issue of the lag or repeated pausing on the channel while watching  a movie. I have found that if I enter a channel between movies there is no lag or pausing. However, if I enter the channel while a movie is playing, in the middle of a movie for example, then the lag returns. It would seem that this lag won't clear up until the next movie starts. Also the homepage has the player embedded and if you enter the homepage in between movies it plays normally. But if you are watching on the homepage and change to "Channel" page, the lag returns. Going back to the homepage will not stop the lag.

I hope this info helps you figure out the little quirks on the page guys.

Thanks for all of the effort you are putting in!

What a great movie you decided to screenshot! Stick out tongue [:P]Stick out tongue [:P]Stick out tongue [:P]

Anyway, on-topic, I think what Poppashango is trying to say is (although I haven't experienced the problem myself) that the channel seems to lag, with either video slowing to maybe buffer, or sound being a little behind, or a little ahead of the video itself, which can cause a little confusion (it's the sound synch bug, what can I say?)

I may be wrong, but not having experienced the problem, I can only guess...

And I do have to say though, in total honesty, the site seems to get better every time I see it, massive congrats to you on getting it to work so well, tmc Smily [:)]Up []

    Hello and G o o d [Good] afternoon TMC!

Fredtheduck is somewhat right about what's happening on our end. And it may be my service that's causing the problem. But I have heard others say the same thing as well.
    What will happen is this:

    I'll enter the website
If I enter the site while a movie is currently playing, the movie will play for 2-3 seconds and pause. Then play for 2-3 seconds and pause. Repeating this process continually.

When the movie is completed, the next movie will play normally.

If I go to the "Channel" page the play and pause error will return until that movie is complete.

    Hope this helps.

We understand and explanation is simple…

This can happen for several reasons, or when the PC this a little slow, the connection this slow or this many to access the channel. I spoke of these reasons, as it usually happens me in my work, but at home I do not have this problem.

Thus conclude reasons that are unrelated to the TMC.
Maybe remove the display of the channel of the first page can be the solution… I will see what we can do.

    Hey

LOADS of new faces on this site.

    Its been awhile though.

    ANYWAY on to the Topic.

I dont think it is Possible,But I think it would be great if there were choose your own adventure type things (if you know what I mean).

So if someone bothered making a 2 way split film with more splits etc everyone watching Votes for an option and the winning result loads up and plays.

    But yeah

I dont expect it to happen,Hard thing to do and No director would make the film adventure (I think).

    deadfast2...

Sorry, but not understood well the idea.

You make a system of choice for films that pass? It is this?

    Re: The Movies Channel

    Not exactly what I meant.

I mean you have a set of films, of which you choose what happens.

Like a video game, without as much control.

So its a film, but the viewers choose what happens.

    Eg.

    Film : Action

Choice: Sneak Attack or all out

    One result G o o d [Good], one bad.

2nd Choice set: Work for team A or Team B

    etc

The viewers choose which choice they want by vote. Winning vote is shown.

So to make the game/movie you would make a main story in seperate parts, and alt story.

Anyway, Its a bad Idea, dont worry..

    ALSO

I have a movie series coming out (Its Wild West action) That could go on the site.

Just it would be rated something like M15+ so I need to know if there are restrictions on content.

    Ty Cya.

I liked the idea, but would have to be a filmmaker dísponivel to make a film with two final. Then I was the rest.

    Re: The Movies Channel

Is it possible to link the movies that are showing, to their actual page on TMO? This will allow people to easily go to the page of that movie and leave a review, which I think will be quite handy.

That will not be possible directly in the channel. What could there be in the list of films have a link to the film in question.

    Re: The Movies Channel

The Movies Channel is looking better all of the time! Congrats!
I am not sure if this idea could work, but I will suggest it at any rateStick out tongue [:P]

I have been watching the Movies Channel quite a bit, and there are more and more movies being presented there which is absolutley great. As you know the movies run in sequential order from one genre to the next. I am not an expert in this field, but can that same technology be applied to individual pages within The Movies Channel website? In other words. Instead of the Channel page running all the genres and movies in sequential order, have a web page for each genre and run only movies in that genre on that page within the Movies Channel. You could have The Action Channel, The Horror Channel, The Romance Channel and so on. All of these would be running at the same time.

Now what I believe this will do is bring more viewers in because they can choose a particular genre that they are interested in. If a person only likes romance, thay can go the The Romance Channel page within the site and watch the romance movies. Another reason is a matter of time. Let's say if a person wants to see a particular movie that is a comedy, but the action movies are running. They will have to wait several hours before the comedy genre is playing again.  They leave the site and  may return  to try and catch the movie later or they may just not return that day at all.

If a seperate Channel page for each genre is available, they can go to that genres page and watch what appeals to them, or a particualr movie they are interested in. They will also be able to easliy gage approximately when they can return to watch a movie if they can't watch them all due to time constraints.

Just thought I would throw that idea out there for you.

You are on the right track! I think this would work well. If you transfered everything to their own genre page, you would just eliminate the original Channel Page.

    Well that's exactly ...

But as I said the problem is that I have all the videos housed in the current channel ... The creation of specific channels, would mean re-uploading ...

But I am not sure appropriate ... I am studying this ... I hope briefly Tuesday news!

    Hey, this is amazing.

I'm going to start working on movies, expressly to have them presented on The Movies Channel.

I will apply to be one of the projects of "Inside My Studio."

I'll email you in a few days, will my proposal, themovieschannel.

I've been trying to get an idea like this together for some months, but you've solved it.

What is your native language?  I'll assist with translations, also.
