The creature, the dog, the _______.  To me, it seems like they are working on AI, and Dimitri/ project X must incorporate some sort of AI breakthrough.  PM said on a recent E3 video that he was going to move beyond the RPG in his next game... give me some time, and I'll post the link.

What is AI, twelthdoctor?  I'm looking forward to a link.Smily [:)]

AI is artificial intelligence, and althoughI know it was there, I can't seem to find it in the middle of all the other E3 stuff.  I know I said I'd post the link, and I will if I find it, but right now that doesn't seem to be happening.  If you see a Molyneux interview in which he mentions spoorts games at the end, please tell me (or post it)
Has the world ended already? Oh dear, I must have missed it. . .

I found it by searching my on posts (I commented on it)  http://www.gametrailers.com/player/37588.html

Anyway, not much specific, but it is confirmation that there is a project, and hints that it is not necessarily an RPG.  The main focus of the interview is of course Fable 2, but the aforementioned hints are at the end.

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

The news on this is very scarce, But I am looking forward to lionhead revealing some more news about this, because I do remember reading, I think on loinhead (go to the links page), that PM thinks the new game will stick him on the cover of scientist magazine.

Lets see if anything is revealed at the next GDC because I know that there is a team starting to work on this.

I have inserted the syringe that is fable 2. I am now officially an addict.

Thanks for going to the trouble of finding it.Smily [:)] Very G o o d [Good] interview, on Fable 2, and little, is still being said, of the Dimitri, game. As long as his games are free roaming, I'm happy.

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

This just occurred to me while watching the E3 fable 2 interview with Peter. When he is talking about online co op where you can walk up to an orb and bring a person into you world through xbox live…… isn’t this just this another version of the portals from the room tech demo? Speechles [:zpeech:]

You guys may have already maid the connection but I aint read it anywhere yetLick [:lick:]

WTF [:wtf:] um, no. the orbs are nothing at all like the portals from the room.  I don't even see a vague connection

I really wish we could see some hard evidence that this project is still alive.  Any developer want to shed some light?

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

What I understood was that the Dimitri porject was terminated and the research from it was incorporated onto several other games (including Fable 2). After Dimitri Project X came to place.

If it turns out a sport or racing game it would also be the first in the genre I would buy. But Dimitri was about you living your own life acording to early interviews ... what that means I have no idea.

Living our own lives? That's a game, that would take years to finish. Tongue Tied [:S] Unless, it's how you wish your life to be.
I'm really not interested in sports.Sad [:(] But I bet a lot of people are.
I just wish he'd say what the project is, he's working on now.

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

Well, I doubt that they are going to announce it anywhere near the Fable 2 release.  If they did, then a lot of gamers would be thinking about the new project instead of the actual release of Fable 2.  So, I doubt that we will hear anything about it in 2008.

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

By now people on the forums are familiar with this picture here
    http://data5.blog.de/media/022/2747022_832e08bfc7_l.jpg
That is supposedly concept art for "Project X"

Now I went on the artist of the above concept art, Matthew Allsopp, and I saw this picture
    http://www.matthewallsopp.com/images/preview/treeHouse.jpg
Which is one I remember seeing on the wall of Lionhead Studios in one of the video Diaries, I will update as to which one when I get home.

Now this might just be a piece of personal art, but perhaps it is another small piece to the puzzle dubbed "Project X"

Whether you think you can or can't, you're right either way.

Thanks for that second pic. Hope it's not just fan art. It has hot air balloons. It's very interesting. Maybe as soon as Fable 2 is released, we can find more.Hmm [^o)]

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

Actually, the second picture isn't anything to do with project x.  I looked on the artist's site, and it gave a description about it saying that it started out as a tree house, then it turned into what you see.  Also, I know that at Lionhead Artists have much of their art work along the walls that don't really have to do anything with any of the games they are making.

They are working on 3 games at a time. Each floor has a different game. I wonder what the third game is. Maybe it's connected to some of the pictures? As soon as Fable 2 is released, there may be more to see.Smily [:)]

Another thing is that PM stated that the room would not become a game, but some of the concepts shown in it might be a part of Dimitri/Project X/Fable 2. I guess the only thing we can do is wait for more info, unless Lionhead packed us another mystery to solve. Bandit [:bandit:]

i think the parts they put into fable 2 from the room is how you can throw objects at people and manipulate the environment around you in the game.

My older brother trade Fable for a communcator?! and then doesn't even get it back?? OH NOES!

Actually, they are working on two games currently.  The bottom floor is mainly for administration and other things, but not games.  The second floor is the development floor for Fable 2 and the third floor is for the undisclosed project.

Have you been there? I haven't. I really thought each floor was being used, for games. The building looks huge. Peter seems to want to make a sports game, and the Project x, also Dimi. I'm getting confused.Sad [:(] I don't care for sports, but maybe Fable 3, is being planned too?

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

Mort already posted about how the different floors have different functions, and all the G o o d [Good] stuff about different colored collums with a picture on it...if I remember right Peter had talked about doing Fables 3, 4 & 5.  This other project x is hopefully something to completely revolutionalize the entire gaming industry.  Since Peter is always talking about emotion and this experiment that went really well I'm hoping somehow they created a more advanced form of AI that on a basic level has emotion.  But I'm dreaming pretty big there....

Maybe not, since Peter dreams big.Smily [:)] I've seen the one video of the room, and the way you can knock the pictures, and move the furniture, etc. It all looks very realistic.Smily [:)]

If they have discovered a new AI or whatever they have discovered, it would seem a senseless waste to not put it in Fable 2 or at least 3.

Maybe they have put some of it in Fable 2. Smily [:)] I bet we'll see here and there, where it's totally exceptional, from the things, from Dimitri? I love the realism of it.
