I'm guessing you are American then, and America has always been very internally focussed in terms of news, they don't look at the outside world because they don't
need to look at the outside world. I mean a lot of Americans have never left their state let alone gone abroad. But why would you bother when the country has everything you could ever need there anyway? It has lead to a lack of understanding of the wider world for a lot of every day Americans, either through naivity or ignorance, and this is reflected in the journalism that is put forward by the American news channels. They target the bulk of people, and the bulk of people are generally ignorant (it's the same in every country, not just America, I mean just look at the yobs of the UK ...).
News companies like the BBC look all around the world (we have a lot of ex-pats in a lot of places) so they have a broader view of news. If you just want the information then you need to go to reuters or bloomberg, but even then they have opinions.
You wont find news handed out without someone elses opinions added to it, the best you can hope for is that you find news that has a similar opinion you

but back to the topic at hand, Fox strike me as the Daily Star of American news, and as such they will just make stuff up and hope they get away with it!
