BloodlessDawn:
or else a potion that stops time...
But only time...
People can move around still, and you can still interact with NPC's or Creatures But Time itself would stop, so you wouldn't age
Or maybe when you're in / about to join co-op... you'd get an option for turning agin on or whatever
Well, that could definitly add to the customization of your character. And stopping time would be... well... weird.

Re: CO-OP BETTER BE ONLINE OVER XBOXLiVE !
I'm pretty sure that there will be online co-op, remember we don't know all the details, just the surface.

Re: CO-OP BETTER BE ONLINE OVER XBOXLiVE !
Come one, in my opinion there is no doubt about online co-op. I just guess that there is even more about online-play, Peter will reveal soon.
During the walkthrough, after being asked for online co-op, he replied something like "Well, doesn't that sound lovely?". And he said that in a tone like "You will jump out of your seats if that would happen, right? Just wait and see!"
Online gaming functions are a key element, modern games of the current console generation need to gain a total success. Since Peter previously admitted that he loves online gaming and online capabilities, we will surely see them in Fable 2.
Don't forget that he pointed out that it might be possible to show your dog to other players. Where else is a better place than online?

Co-op Q: Can we marry co-op partners?
After watching the new footage from GDC, I've started wondering how deep the co-op can go. The more I see of fable 2, the more I like it, and the more I think my girlfriend might be interested. The whole family life and raising children aspect would be extremely fun if she and I could do it together. Maybe get a nice house, rape and pillage peasants, you know, all those sappy, coupley things. So Lionhead, whats the word? Can we start a murderous family together or not? (if not, i think we'd all appreciate it ![Smily [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif) )

Re: Co-op Q: Can we marry co-op partners?
Haha, excellent point. Thing is if I did that the poor kid will go to an orphanage. Also, it might be more interesting to raise a virtual family if destroying the relationship in-game has real world consequences. You won't see me starving my kids if my girlfriend/virtual wife is sitting next to me, threatening me with the controller

Re: Co-op Q: Can we marry co-op partners?
I wanna know what other people think. Anybody else hoping co-op will work like this? Hopefully if lionhead hasn't added in this feature, we can convince them they should. Seems logical to me.

Co-op just got confusing to me.
(New to the forums by the way. )
I can't tell you how excited I was to hear that there was going to be Co-op in the game Fable 2. Fable one was my favourite game of all time , and me and my friend always wanted a Co-op mode.
BUT! I've just learnt that this character is meerly a 'Henchman'. And when looking at the start of the Video I discoverd that alongside with the words Longsword and Pistol (On the screen with the gamer tags) There were the words "Neutral Man".
Now I may be just reading it wrong. After all the picture was quite dark. but if this is what it means, does that not mean that the other player is simply a random un-customizable character?
This got my hopes reaaaallly down. My friend does not own an Xbox 360. So we had hopes of playing around with our fable characters in Co-op. But now I'm worried of that not happening anymore.
I just don't see why we cannot have our other characters from other profiles join .
Also if this has been posted then I apologize. I just couldn't find it anywhere on the forum when I searched for it.
PS: This will still not stop me from buying the game. I'm excited for fable 2 and I still believe that this will be the best game of the year. (for me anyways) ![Big Smile [:D]](/emoticons/emotion-2.gif)

Re: CO-OP BETTER BE ONLINE OVER XBOXLiVE !
Local CO-OP means nothing to me because my Girlfriend thinks videogames are nerdy and I don't have any friends who are nerdy enough to want come over and play this game together. I'm really hoping we can play CO-OP over Live. I'm suspecting that it is Lionhead's intention to do this but Peter will not announce it till they have it up and running smoothly.

Re: Co-op just got confusing to me.
You haft to log in with your own Xbox live account, already on the persons console your playing or not.. but you haft to have your own profile. The Xbox 360 account does not haft to be a gold account to play offline coop, it just needs to be there with a character that has been played on that profile.
Basicly if you have any Xbox Live account and Fable 2 and play the game on your console at your house, take it to a friends house on his console & log in your Xbox Live profile you will be able to play your Fable 2 character as a henchmen in his/her game.
Thats most logical thing I can think of honestly
I also dout henchmen can buy property in that person's world, thats my guess... kinda curious how that works though
Also curious to if someone creates a new profile at there buddies house to play, would they need to play the game first themselves a child?
See I thought the hero starts out as a kid & so how would that work?

Can you have split-screen? (local co-op)
I doubt many of my friends are going to get this game, and the idea of letting a stranger into my game to do as they will doesn't sound appealing. Usually when i play co-op, its with my brother and/or Sister, and i dont see much point in splashing out more money for another 360, TV and live account just to play co-op with a sibling who lives in the same house.
So can you have split-screen?

Re: Can you have split-screen? (local co-op)
To quote the news letter it says "couch Co-Op" so pressumably it will be on the same xbox/pc. As for split screen or same screen, i just dont know.

Re: Can you have split-screen? (local co-op)
Oh what? so you basically share the same screen? I'm cool with that. Infact I'd actually prefer that. I mean is the co-op playable on one x-box?

I'm slightly confused myself, you only need one xbox, one tv, just another controller. Are you talking about split-screen as in two screens on one tv or do you mean just two players on the same consol?

So can you have split-screen?
From what we know there is "couch co-op" but no split-screen garbage, the way that Lionhead implemented the Fable 2 camera is genious. Here is a link to the co-op video demonstrations, the first video is where Peter explains how "couch co-op" in Fable 2 will work.
By the way the GDC demo is cut into three parts, so you have to download all three to see the whole demo.
