    Two players and same console.

I said split screen because I hardly ever see any single screen co-op. Last time was probably a LOTR game or something to be honest.

It's cool to see Lionhead bringing new and less frequently used concepts into their games, split-screen co-op in the world of Albion would just...suck in my opinion.

You should try Lego Star Wars, it does exactly what Fable is doing split screen wise, even Molyneux mentioned it as a comparison. I wonder what they'll do with online though, you have a screen each and your own xbox to power your world, so will you be two seperate hero entities capable of going anywhere you want, or will you be tethered together like in local co-op? I hope it's the first one, it could even allow you to bring dogs together.

Its true, this way it makes you feel more like you need to cooperate and not just do your own thing. Your world of albion might as well just be nuked if you let some random stragner run whereever he want.Wink [;)]

Exactly, split-screen co-op would make each player feel alienated like they were both playing a FPS deathmatch on the same screen. The way that the characters are visually combined on the same screen makes for a more cooperative atmosphere. As for the "nuke", Peter said it was up to you who you let into your game...

i htink the idea would be cool but i personally would never use it=online play = Xbox Live =monthly subscribtion = no way

Re: Co-op Q: Can we marry co-op partners?

Put shortly...I doubt it. The one parent has to be an A.I. and stay at home with the kids all the time. Plus, you would have to wait at your house for your "spouse" to get on Fable 2 meaning that your child will be automatically orphaned should you two decide to go out adventuring as a romantic couple again.

    Re: Aging in Co-op mode

Ya, my whole thing about aging is that i don't want to do it to quickly. i don't want to play around and explore just to find myself as a 60 year old blacksmith that hasn't even touched the main plot!

Yea, G o o d [Good] point. I would actually be playing it on one system though, not over live.

By "getting on Fable 2" I meant waiting on your partner either on couch co-op or Xbox Live (if there is going to be Live co-op). It wouldn't work either way.

Re: Co-op just got confusing to me.

Next-gen.biz states that as long as you have 2 controllers a friend or relative without a live ID can play- they become a clone of your character.

Hope this is true.  I want to be able to let my mates who don't have an xbox play on Fable with me.

Re: Co-op just got confusing to me.

    AJLane:

And when looking at the start of the Video I discoverd that alongside with the words Longsword and Pistol (On the screen with the gamer tags) There were the words "Neutral Man".

I think "Neutral Man" was just an alignment indicator of the henchman, regardless of whether it is online or offline co-op.  This article talks about how henchman will different alignments will affect how the world sees the main hero, and possibly how the dog reacts to the henchman. Its not a confirmed thing, but is is plausable

Whether you think you can or can't, you're right either way.

ya the guy over is right it was just his alignment not E v i l [Evil] not G o o d [Good] but neutral and i dont think you can play with two heroes together online or off. I think itll be a henchman  and that you decide if hes E v i l [Evil] G o o d [Good] if he has alot of money and stuff like that

Re: Co-op just got confusing to me.

So does that mean that my 'Henchman' can be a character that has been customized by my friend from his profile? or does that mean that he just plays a default character?

Re: Co-op just got confusing to me.

Wait, so is there a choice between a generic "henchman" or a character from another world of Fable 2? I mean another world like say my friend got far in the game or something and his character and everything about him is transported in? This is confusing, since they mentioned trading between worlds and earning gold I figured it was two seperate characters uploaded or created on the same Xbox.

    Co-op - lovemaking? The 3rd big thing?!

Long time no LH Forums for me! Hello all. G o o d [Good] to be back. I'm excited by Fable 2, the demo looked awesome. G o o d [Good] job all at LH, and congrats on the new ideas and envelope-pushing ideas you're bringing to the fore with the game.

So let's say I've got a wife. I invite a co-op buddy round one evening. Can we, you know. Co-op her? Is this the 3rd big thing that's going to be announced?!
Peter did say you've never played co-op like this before - BOOM BABY! YEAHHH!
    Anyway...

I'd also quite like to have multiple wives. That would rock. Or, at a pinch, can I impregnante multiple women and have lots of different kids walking around? Or do I have to be married before I do the deep. I didn't know I was that religious to be honest.

Additionally if I did have multiple wives I guess it would cost me a fair bit to keep them all going. Adventuring day and night and night and day just to keep them all in food. Let's say a wife gets a bit fat - this is the perfect time to hire my co-op buddy to perform an assasination! o/\o

Finally as much as I like the idea of earning money and taking it back to my world (awesome stuff), I'd love to have a country home/house away in another "dimension". Earn the money there, buy a house there. A country retreat, if you will.
Plus a different outlook - bad in my world, G o o d [Good] in another. Split personalities, hated back home, adored elsewhere.
However I'm guessing the co-op is limited to being on the same screen (Lego Star Wars as mentioned) and not a real open world experience like Crackdown. A shame, but entirely understandable due to the complexities of the game.

Peter also mentioned each world would be different. Sounds very Animal Crossing to me, which is an awesome way to go.

Again, G o o d [Good] work! I'm looking forward to the finished game.

Ok, no co-op love makeing, and different dimencions is a deff no.
