Oki Tawanaka, FOX News (The Rewrite) - Production Thread, etc

Okay, it's June 2008, I've been away like a zillion months, I really don't feel like counting. Smily [:)]

My old production thread was here:

    http://community.lionhead.com/forums/ShowThread.aspx?PostID=2773293#2773293

My TMO movie site for the Oki Tawanaka, FOX News Movie series has always been here:

    http://home.comcast.net/~rampage97/games/The_Movies/Oki_Tawanaka_series.htm

The Neverwinter Nights campaign that the series is based off of has been concluded nicely and we're on to X-COM (Earth has been invaded by Aliens, hehehehe; but, that's another story for another time. The Oki Tawanaka, FOX News story is my TMO priority now, even if it takes me time to tell the complete WHOLE LONG STORY (trust me, it's long and a lot of fun).  I'm working on the script for "The Rewrite", and the next episode should be after that, just need a few props designed (I still have the VO's from last year, don't worry guys)..

I only just started the script for "The Rewrite", so I can't say for certain any details about it's completion aspects.  I have a rough outline though, since it has to conform to the Guns, Goblins & Steel Monday Night campaign storyline from which this is all based.  I'm just filling in the missing pieces to complete the movie portion and tossing that which doesn't need to be in the film.  Editing to suit my needs; but, essentially keeping to the original script and plot... just cutting lots of it out to make it manageable for TMO purposes.  That's the essential theme for the series: Keep a little, summarize a bunch, fill-in some, cut a lot.  The only way to turn 30-50 two hour sessions into a manageable TMO series.  Episode 3's six minutes represented a two hour session, and only the highlights. The action sequence was about that fast; but, the mission briefing took a bit, the approach took awhile and the aftermath took a bit too. I clipped all that out for purposes of the movie.

    Just downloaded

    Blender from http://www.Blender.org and

    Python from http://www.Python.org and

starting to read the Wiki Book Tutorial at http://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/Blender_3D:_Noob_to_Pro

Also, nearly done first draft of script for "The Rewrite" before my husband, Bob, goes through and redlines everything to make it a much better script for both filming and the VA's ... I tend to be overly wordy and Bob keeps me sharp and to the point. Smily [:)]

Besides the six long term cast members, there's probably another 2 FOX News members, 3 military, some insurgents (I may reuse ubernewbie's lines or call on him again or even get a couple extra cast... TBD) and a CIA supervisor.  I need to work out the logistics still.

Yeah, I'll need music, I'll be in contact.

Thank you for the music track you sent last night. I hope you got my reply early this morning. Bob and I loved it. We're looking forward to working with you throughout the series.  When we figure out what else we need for our next pieces we'll be in contact.

Bob severely redlined my script for Episode 4... hehehe... first it had enough material for four episodes.... next thing I know... 75% of it was redlined... he keeps me honest and on track and true to my goal of delivering my project sharp and clear.  I love him for that and trust him dearly.

Episode 4 - The Rewrite - Script complete, cast small, special FX (we believe in our grasp relatively soon), music TBD

Episode 5 - Journey - Script complete (minor rework - my lines), VO's (all done, except mine), filming (30% done), special FX (R&D in progress), music (in progress)

Episode 6- year 2009-/2011, script raw data available (needs processing), additional cast needed, additonal costuming needed, special FX (R&D in progress), music  (TBD)

Re: Oki Tawanaka, FOX News (The Rewrite) - Production Thread, etc

    Thanks, I'll be in touch.

Somehow... whenever fantasy/medieval films are made people just assume that it'll be riddled with British accents.... just goes with the territory. Smily [:)] So almost everyone .... oh wait, that's right. *I'M* the one with the accent and *YOU* guys speak the language correctly... *laughs* Gotta love those coversations with some of you over there. *tosses a long distance hug to Roger and the like* Smily [:)]  Yup, it's all relative who is the one with the accent depending on where one lives.

Anyway, yup, love to have you and the rest on board.  By the time the Guns, Goblins & Steel campaign concluded, there were so many characters we encountered... probably would need a scorecard to keep track of them all. Smily [:)]  So, I would imagine needing a very large cast with a wide range of accents and range of voice types and special FX... oh wait JosphKw, K4 and RPO ARE special FX when it comes to their voices. ROFL... I'll have to get in contact with them again.

    hugs,

    Stephanie
