In one of the jillion PM videos i've seen PM said something to the effect that if you want the games early you will pay for them...if you wait they will most likely come with the game..or maybe he meant they can just be played in game.

Silver is free you just need to connect the 360 to the internet. I understand that not everyone can do that though. I imagine it could be made available in stores as well.

I don't think, you have to have live, to play the pub games.

One thing i've been hoping some game would do is have Texas Hold'em rooms where you can either play against other real people or computers for game money. I think that would be real cool since Hold'em is part skill/part luck. I mean hell, I play texas Hold'em all the time anyways it would be fun to play with Fable money. Less presure then playing with my own real money and more fun then playing with fake money. It's like a perfect medium. Anyways just an idea.

Thats the thing if you need xbox live or cant play them by yourself then I wont buy the Pub games. The whole reason I would get the pack is because I want to buy everything in the game... and it be nice to have a little extra money in the beginning.

I'm more or less waiting for a release date now.

I don't think, you have to have live, to play the pub games.

It depends on if you have to pay or not. Which from what the general census says, will cost MS points. So you will have to have Live in order to play because they don't want people copying content off of each others harddrives.

Hey, I have a question. How are we going to gamble if we have no gold to start off with? If I pay MS points for these pub games I'd at least expect a little starting off money to play around with.

I think it will be like Texas Hold'em for Keystone at least. You get a minimum of say 50 gold and you build on that for a while. Say maybe when you reach 150 gold it subtracts 50 gold so that you have a fail-safe amount. If you completely run out of gold, you start over with 50 gold again. If you didn't reach 150 gold and you run out, then the computer gives you 50 gold to start over with. That is just an idea.......

I remember Peter saying that you can actually go into debt by gambling away and losing all your credit before the game even comes out. I forgot which interview he states this in though.

I doudt they will make it where you can go in to debt. You just paid money for something you can get for free in a few weeks. People won't buy it if you can go in dept.

I bet they do have a safe zone of maybe 50 gold. 50 gold isn't much. And if you make alot of money then try your luck. Guess what. back to 50 gold lol.

Microsoft doesn't need to screw people. When people buy the game what difference does it make if they start out rich, poor or jus right?

In Fact. The more people that make more money or the less people that don't go in "debt" the more people will probally buy Fable 2. Whitch is why I bet there even releaseing the pub games.

People buy them not knowing if they want Fable 2. They make alot of money. Say hey I have all this money so I am going to get it.

Thats my opinion. and My guess is 800-1600 MS points. And either a 50 or 100 gold start out with/ safe zone.

Im tempted to get the pub games but i think ill pass. Like another person already said, i want to earn my money in the world of Fable 2 the first time i play it so i get the full experience, like start of poor and at the end being and stinking rich

From the casino game that PM showed(Keystone) I got the idea that I'm far more likely to survive a fall of 234,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 feet in the real world than win a dime in that pub game unless of course I get fixed version that PM played when he demonstrated the game.

who knows, maybe these game are really fun. keep in mind these are not just games we get as a part of and before fable 2. these are stand alone xbl arcade games and should be very enjoyable.i hope

I think the debt Idea got against the Lionhead philosophy of games should be fun. The critical moment comes when you've won a bit of cash. Do you risk it all and keep playing or do you cash in and give the money to your Fable. I see this being the same unless if you lose a bunch of thugs jump on you and beat the piss out of you giving your pub game character some serious scars

That's the part in Fable 2 where I save and then proceed to bet everything. If I loose then I reload my fresh save and repeat untill I win. Or then again I might just master the guile skill(IF it's in fable 2) and just buy a few hundred excessively expensive items and sell them back for more than I paid and buy them back and sell them back.......untill I have more than 100,000,000.  Or maybe I can do that with something like a castle(didn't work that way in fable 1 but maybe Fable 2 has guile affect the purchase and resale of properties as well).
