    pre-ordering

well it was kind of stupid but i noticed that the regular version of Fable 2 is only about 59.99

and the Limited edition version of Fable 2 is 69.99  I would like to know...what is the difference.. two words?

    Re: pre-ordering

Well, a Limited Edition hasn't even been confirmed yet. As far as we know, it's just wild speculation. We don't know what's different about them, or if it even exists.

However, if and when it's confirmed you can bet I'll be pre-ordering that LE.

    Re: pre-ordering

There are also other websites that allow you to pre-order the Limited Edition, but I haven't seen anywhere that it's been confirmed. I've already pre-ordered the standard game, but if a Limited Edition is confirmed I may just well change to that... Depending on the extra stuff, of course.

Edit: Don't trust websites, trust Lionhead. I think they'd announce it on their website if a Limited Edition is going to be released.

    Re: pre-ordering

They don't actually take your money until the game is shipped. So, if there's actually no game, then they don't take your money. However, not all sites do this I'm sure, there's probably a fair share of scam sites out there that'll snag your cash.

However, believe us when we say that as of right now, there's no confirmed LE.

You don't get charged for a pre-order until it's been dispatched. At least where I buy them from. So it's not illegal if they've taken no money.

It was confirmed. IGN was told as well as Gametop a while back. It is not speculation.

And to the original poster, expect something like a making-of DVD and special case. That is most common for Limited Editions.

They mentioned on IGN a while back that it was confirmed during one of the game shows by Microsoft Xbox 360 reps.

Anyways, IGN doesn't put up speculation pages. That would be a waste, they wait for confirmation on LE's.

    Re: pre-ordering

LH has said nothing about it. The way it works is they take a deposit for the LE and if one never comes out, they simply give you the original version that did come out. They will apply your deposit to it and be done.

You have got to be joking. IGN was the website where I got the info and ordered my special edition of Too Human... THREE YEARS AGO.....ON THE GAMECUBE!!!!! IGN is massive speculation, as well as every other website except in this case, Lionhead. Do you actually think Lionhead would use that crappy LE cover art, or better yet do you really think Lionhead would decide to make a LE and then not announce it at all, except in a secret message to IGN and Gamestop. In case you are still thinking about it, the answer is no.

Exactly. As we've all been saying, you can't trust everything you see on websites like IGN, Gamestop, 1-up, etc...

Also, if you claim there's an official announcement by a 360 official, please do provide a link. =/

Whats the point of buying a limited edition? Just like halo's legendary... You get a freakin helmet, or lockbox, or some dumb little happy meal toy that you will never in your life use.

Yeah, well, that's Halo. We don't know what would be in this Limited Edition. We don't even know if there will be one. So try not to judge the quality of nonexistent items.

Because people don't want a LE for every other game. If Fable 2 jumped off a bridge, would all the other games do it too? No.

Silicon Knights has mentioned a special edition. And back then, IGN put rumored because it had been reported in Europe.

And where did you find the LE's cover art on IGN? I only saw the UK regular art.

I didn't say secret message, those are just the only two that I know of who reported it.

You're thinking unrealistically. Stop trying to find bad reasons to argue. xO

Fact of the matter is, if speculation is strong enough, then gaming websites will sometimes advertise it. Until LH confirms it, I'll stick to the belief that the LE is what it is - speculation.
