Hi,

When ever I tried to run The Movies or Stunts and Effects in Sandbox, After a minute or two and when I'm on the custom script making screen, the screen goes black and my cpu locks up. This causes me to have to restart my cpu. It's on the lowest graphics settings

 

Has anyone else had this happened to them? I want to play this a lot.

Are you sure your computer meets the game's minimum requirements?  You can run a test to see if it does here.

I used that site before hand and I'm past the recomended specs!

if you have any mods on your game whatsoever, that's why, just be patient and the black screen will dissappear and the casting screen will appear, or change your graphics to a higher setting, if mine is on low, all the sets are black blobs

I have no mods but i'll try that that higher settings i only put it on the lowest because my CPU recomended i put it on safe mode.

Your CPU locks up? By CPU I assume you mean computer.

As always, posting your system specs is the way to go in case someone can spot something that could be causing problems. If you haven't already I'd try running through the standard steps in making sure nothing is interfering with running the game. Make sure background programs aren't running, like virus scans, because they can slow the game down and cause freezes or locks.
Run a defrag of your harddrive for measure.
If the problem persists, reinstall the game. Make sure you save your savegames somewhere safe, but the game should give you the option to keep them anyway when you reinstall.
