    hello, welcome to the forums.

I'd take that more seriously though if Peter was known for keeping his promises, and not known for being a gaming tease Smily [:)]

i mean, HOPEFULLY you're right, but I'm not too sure about that.

while the room is an awesome tech demonstration and all, i'm fairly certain it's not related to any of their games right now

In this German article from 2005 they say that parts of the room demo are somehow used in Dimitri. As I'm too lazy to translate that right now, try this. Not the best translation, but the interesting parts should be understandable. Cheeky [:cheeky:]

I guess we'll all just have to see what E3 brings, but I'm not that optimistic about a new lionhead game being announced

Oh, I'm quite optimistic. Remember this?

    Peter Molyneux:
We're going to be talking about Fable 2 today of course, next time I meet you we will be talking about our next new project, but today it's about Fable 2

By the way, hello everyone, I just joined.

Hmmmm ... So we might hear from Dimitri/Projet X after all ^^ [^^]

I was only expecting something after the release of Fable 2.

I've heard nothing about dimitri in day one of E3. Maybe today at the 30 min. conference with Peter Molyneux.

    12:30 at the E3 "time"

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

Well i wanted to see what wiki had to say about this and this is what it says...

The Dimitri Project is a code name for a computer game currently being developed by Lionhead Studios, creators of Black & White, Fable and The Movies. There has been speculation that The Dimitri Project has become Fable 2, however recent interviews with Peter Molyneux confirm that this is not the case.In fact, development on Dimitri has been stopped (and never got to the full-team stage), and it has been replaced by a second project, Project X, which may lean on aspects of Dimitri but is distinct

So is this thread then speculation of "Project X"?Paranoid [:aranoid:]

Confirmation from E3 that Lionhead is working on two games.  At 5:00, Peter says that Lionhead is already working on the next game to be released.  Too bad he couldn't say anymore though.Disappointed [:isappoin]

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

I think it would be a G o o d [Good] idea for them to announce the new game BEFORE Fable2 ships out, to give fans something to start waiting for so that there's not "dead time" on the boards between when fable 2 is released and whenever codename dimitri is announced

I wish we knew what they are up to. Probably has to do with Microsoft, not wanting anything to interfere with Fable 2.Tongue Tied [:S] Just a guess, but Peter really looked as if he'd like to say. I've seen a lot of pictures of waterfalls, and boats. Maybe that'll be in one? Maybe in a new Lionhead Diary, there will be something mentioned soon?Smily [:)]

I would assume that we won't hear anything until mid/late september AT THE EARLIEST, but that's just my opinion.

Hm, yes you're probably right. Maybe in an August diary? Wouldn't they want people to be at least more interested in it. After all, it seems a lot of people think it's only a rumor.Tongue Tied [:S]

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

In the newest interview so far,
    http://youtube.com/watch?v=6Iul20GJsy8
    molyneux says near the end

"there is another project at Lionhead, That we've been working on for quite some time. It's kind of the result of an experiment that went incredibly well, and then we thought 'this has got to be a game', and I can't say anything about it at all"

I know, bummer... but then he gives some more clues!!!

"I've always been fascinated by challenges, and I've always said to myself  'well, you know, one day i should really do a sports game' It's just simply because It's a genre that's locked in stone, like 'we    know    how     we     do      sports     games' and they don't do it any other way. That Is the real challenge to it. It's the same with things like driving games."

    and here comes the conclusion

"what I want for the game I do next is a really big challenge"

after simply breaking it down and analyze it,
I've come to believe a few theories,
such as the fact that it'll be a game in a popular genre (not necessarily sports or driving), but it'll be done differently from anything before it.
I also think that it'll be a sim due to the previous posts in this thread,

what they mught have been experimenting with during the time they decided to make the game, was 'the room' and the portal technology...
One notable feature i remember was the real time ageing, and due to the pictures of the young boy and the oldman who bear some resemblence,
this might be the basis of the game...

But I'm just speculating and probably wrong,
you guys interperit it how you want to...

Re: Dimitri - Fact or Fiction?

Yes, I've read that as well. Maybe it's a story on real  life?  On how we lived our life? I don't know. It's been quite a puzzle, trying to figure it out. Everything in that house can be moved. The pictures, you can even pull over, the bookcase, etc.Tongue Tied [:S] I've watched that a few times. It's so realistic.
He also has another game in the works. But no mention of what that is.  Smily [:)]
