    Crunch

Just out of curiosity, how often does Lionhead have "crunch" days where everyone working on a game stays late?

    - Also, how late do those days last?

    Re: Crunch

I'd imagine probably an hour or two above normal. However, I raither like the image of everyone bringing in a sleeping bag and not getting released form the building until everything is completely done, G o o d [Good] thing I am not in charge

    Re: Crunch

We are 'encouraged' to work late on Tuesday and Thursday, and anyone with a priority 1 bug has to resolve that issue that day (if possible).

A few people work late every night, and a handful at the weekend. We are really left to govern our own time.  If you have bugs, try clear some. If not, help someone (although I am unsure if that goes on).

My own day usually starts between 7 and 8am, and often finishes between 10 and 11pm. I am only telling you that because the big bosses might read it and I will get some sweeties.

    Re: Crunch

Same here...crunch means I'm working pretty much from 10:30-23:30 every day. It's not that bad, because I go to the group fitness in the park during lunch hour, have take away dinner in the evening and that breaks the day up a bit... Plus I can go outside and sit in the park for a bit if I need to clear my head. You can watch most of us working late on the webcams BTW.... Stick out tongue [:P]

I'm editing like mad. But this weekend I've taken off and am going to visit a friend in Paris.

    Re: Crunch

Reading several threads it really sounds like you guys put a lot of love and energy into your work.

Going a bit OT I would like to ask if you have a lot of non-work related activitties like that one you showed in one of the diaries (the one with the costumes)

Just because you seem to put so many extra hours on a regular basis.

    PS: sorry for the necro-post

I'm more of a morning person, I try to get in before 8:30am if I can (free bacon sandwiches if you do, quite the incentive), but I usually leave around 9pm.

I'm not keen on working Saturdays, and I don't work late on Friday's, but I do every other Sunday.

I think I'd get there early, too, if they had bacon sandwiches.Stick out tongue [:P] Although a nice cup of coffee with a donut would be fine.Smily [:)]

Ha ha ha thats actually pretty funny. It can't be that bad at crunch time they're working on Fable 2!! I'd give a limb to work for LH, i'd be there 24/7 if i had to... i'd probably be asleep but at least i'd be there ha ha ha.
