    Pub Games "Glitch"

Please note this is not an official comment

There have been a lot of posts over the past day or so about a "glitch" in the Fable 2 pub games available on XBOX Live.

Obviously Lionhead and Microsoft will be aware of this by now and I'm sure that there will be some kind of official comment at some point.

Please in the meantime refrain from posting threads related to this on these forums. Using any kind of "glitch" to get large amounts of money is obviously not something which was intended to enhance gameplay and doing so will more than likely spoil a lot of the fun you would otherwise have playing the game.

Personally I would also argue that using any kind of "exploit" to advance your personal rankings on any XBOX Live online ranking system shouldn't be looked at favourably by either the online community or by Microsoft. Remember that under the terms of service Microsoft can take action against people who cheat via XBOX Live:

    Anti-Cheating

In order to create a fair gaming experience for all users by detecting cheating, Microsoft will periodically collect the following information about your computer when you sign on to the Service via a personal computer for Games for Windows: your IP address, operating system and LIVE software version and other non-personally identifiable operating system and driver state information. In addition, Microsoft may also collect information about other software running on your computer that, based on Microsoft's analysis, is suspected to be software used for cheating and cheat reports generated by the LIVE software consisting of identification of suspected cheating software, your LIVE-enabled game software's product key, network performance data associated with your use of the Service and between you and other users of LIVE-enabled games, and crash information about the LIVE software. Microsoft will use this information to protect the security of the Service and may take enforcement action against your LIVE account; however, we will not use this information in any way which disables any other software running on your computer.

Obviously I have no idea under these circumstances if any action would or would not be taken but you should be careful and think about these things when using any online service.

This is completely unofficial of course. However in the mean time any posts giving details of the exploit etc. will be deleted.
