Uncharted 2, the first one is one of the best games this gen yet, never have animations been so G o o d [Good] looking and smooth and the rest of the graphics were just as G o o d [Good], the gameplay was some of the best in a long time and well just cant wait. Smily [:)]

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

Also Uncharted 2, for fairly similar reasons. Especially the animation which adds far more to the gaming experience that it sometimes gets credit for. The first one was bloody brilliant, and did things with characterisation that other games can only dream of - it's one of my fave games of all time and I really wasn't expecting that before I bought itSmily [:)]

Well besides F.E.A.R 2 i somehow am curious about Wheelman.
I think it could be quite entertaining but then again Vin Diesel in a game? I feel Wheelman is going to be one of those games you either love or you just hate it. Going to have to play the demo before i get that game.

Oh and Deus Ex 3, yes it is coming. Think we will hear some big news coming up to E3 about it next year.

If you can't do the time then don't do the crime. Then again you can just post in here i suppose ->

Alan Wake because it seems to be a story with game play, instead of game play with a weak lame story. I’m not crazy about suspense novels, but if the UI is any G o o d [Good] it looks vary entertaining. And something completely different form other games.

Mass Effect was great, so I’m looking forward to the next one.

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

never thought I'd say this as I'm not a particular fan of FPSs in general, but I'm really quite looking forward to Killzone 2. I've been watching videos of the latest build, and the animation is phenomenal. This is really the kind of advance I was hoping for in graphics 'this' gen - shiny shaders and troweled-on bump mapping can only take you so far, but attention to detail in animation and physics are where it's really at in making a world convincingSmily [:)]

Rumour has it that it'll come close to using all the PS3's power for once - which considering the original only tapped about a third of it's potential could make it something very special indeed.

Of course, that's just the rumour - no idea if it's true....

EDIT - more screenies if anyone's interested...

It does indeed look stunning. Bloody amazing, in fact.

One game I am really looking forward to is Monster Hunter 3 for the Wii.... I loved the first one and if I find the time I end up playing it even today!...

Also I hear the MHF PSP version is a huge hit.

And in Japan I hear they are retard strong for Monster Hunter 2... Sadly Monster Hunter 2 never came to Canada or America.... But thankfully the third is... And I cannot wait!!
So many hours I am going to waste on that game.... "Drools"

P.S Ive wasted over 400 hours on Monster Hunter 1 and I am still growing!

Heres some links to the game I hope you all get caught up in all of this too and maybe join me online one of these days.

(You know for the Wii the graphics don't really look that bad.)

Resident E v i l [Evil] 5. I love the Resident E v i l [Evil] games, this one's going to be the best yet hopefully. The Sims 3. I mainly use it for making movies but this looks promising and a whole lot better than The Sims 2

    God of War 3
    Resi 5
    Batman- Arkham Asylum
    The Watchmen
    Ghostbusters
    Bioshock 2
    Killzone 2

Not looking forward to COD 6, most overrated franchise ever and also Halo 3 wars or whatever it's called, boring...

Re: What games are you looking forward to and why?

Year of the Real Time Strategy maybe:

    • StarCraft 2
    • Dawn of War 2
    • Empire: Total War
    • Anno 1404

the other big highlights might be Dragon Age: Origins, Mafia 2 and maybe Diablo 3 (although I think it is going for 2010).

A shame there is nothing to look forward to from Lionhead. At least nothing with consistance other than vague announcements of a secret project. I say it is time to come out of the closet and tell us what to expect. Although you can of course leave it if it is not going on the PC anyway, like for example Fable 2.

I'm not much for saying this but... But i think i am looking foward to a console fps, the level of detail is just amazing and i actually enjoyed the multiplayer for once even with the crappy controller to aim with and the singleplayer looks amazing and the previews only sounds better.

Ok ok i will stop posting more gifs just watch this instead, it truely puts a smile on my face everytime i see one of them getting shot.

Turns out Killzone 2 might actually play really well, along with looking frankly amazing. Who'd have thought it?Wink [;)]

Mind you, that's based on the first 2 reviews, which both happen to be from the UK and US versions of Official Playstation Magazine, so I think I'll wait and see. And I love the wholy unbiased qote from one saying
If this is what developers can do when they don't have to think about Xbox as well, then let's never go back to dual platform..

Still, having seen the thing running a little more now, I've got to say that despite the inflamatory nature of the comment I'm almost inclined to agree.

No ***?!? Stick out tongue [:P] Nobody would have thought that concentrating on one platfrom would be better for optimising. And to add some fuel to the flame, the XBox360 is and was always the weakest part in the multi-plattfrom development in my opinion, especially when you think of the different versions of the XBox (e.g. HDD or no HDD). Wink [;)]

I have recently seen the Mafia 2 trailer again and I have to say, this will be the game of the year! Cheeky [:cheeky:] At least if they don't *** up the multi-platform aspect because it comes for XBox360, PS3 and PC at the same time. Hopefully a High-end PC is the leading development platform and they cut unhandleable parts (e.g. detail level) for the consoles and low-end PC, insetad of cutting them out for all in the first place. If the stuff from the trailer is ingame console graphic, I could totally live with it. Wink [;)]

I loved Fable 2, but it was a bit short and my Xbox360 RROD'ed me the day that the DLC came out.  So Xbox sent for repairs.

I'm waiting for Sacred: The Fallen Angel.  It's the prequel to the original Sacred game.  Looks absolutely brilliant.

Sacred 2 is already released! I even played the demo months ago. It played like the first Sacred which is G o o d [Good]. Although I'm not sure about long term motivation which was the biggest problem for Sacred. Simply a huge world, much too big and full of respawning enemies that made it a pain to travel between places. Still simply the best Hack&Slay after Diablo 2.

Sacred 2 was a bit buggy (I think I read about patches and it now works pretty well) and had DRM copy protection on the release, so I will not buy it. Maybe it gets down to 20 € soon, so it might be a G o o d [Good] choice after all.
