In all seriousness the co-op of the game is what we always said it was going to be. Maybe it's a bit like marmite, some people like it and others hate it but it does what it says on the tin (I know marmite doesn't come in tins but you get the point).

Thanks for all your nice comments, I’ll be in the Bowerstone Market later on in the evening...

I'm waiting for this game still (UK) but I'm not going to judge co-op based on others comments. I don't care if some people hate it, if I hate it hopefully Lionhead may fix it somehow.

I'm with those who don't understand what all the fuss is about...

If you're playing as someone's henchman and want them to see your hero, why don't you ask them to be YOUR henchman for a while?

It was kind of what I was expecting all along. There's only supposed to be one hero in the world. And at least you still get extra gold and XP for your own hero.

Come on people, where's the love???

    Negative.

PM said he would change the way people play co-op and that´s what we were waiting. Basically, you delivered an awesome way to play online (the orbs thing), but didnt do the main thing: let us play with our own character in co-op mode and taking back our stuff with us.

Also, PM always said co-op was one of the biggest fable 2 features. How come a big feature seems to be forgotten?

IGN complained, Co-optimus complained, a lot of people are complaining...

I love PM, but I guess he said too much again.

You're forgetting they said henchmen and never really clarified what a henchmen was. They never said it was a pre-generated hero for online.

They avoided lots of topics asking about it a few months back.

I can't argue with that.  Actually, that seems like the only reason this half-hearted attempt at coop was made, so Lionhead could print it on the box.  Unfortunately, I convinced a friend to buy it solely based on the fact that the game included coop and now I'm a bit embarrassed.

I know I only have myself to blame because I obviously didn't research the feature deep enough to give that recommendation but if you think this is what the average person had in mind for coop, then Lionhead has really lost touch.

is this a f****ng joke of you? are you trying to anger the fans even more?! YOU ****ING LIONHEAD ARE ONE PIECE OF STAB IN THE BACK I THINK I WONT EVEN BUY THE ****ING PIECE OF **** GAME 60 BUKS LESS FOR YOU MOTHER****ERS we trusted lionhead and they're testing us more and more and now they crossed the ****ing line and they can all die Dead [:notalive:] i'm serieus im REALLY ****ING DISSAPOINTED.

The idea of feeling betrayed by a game company over a feature you find less than satisfactory is rather pathetic in my honest opinion.

Even worse was flying off the handle at a developer who spent years working on the game giving you a rather humourous reply instead of what you really wanted, which was probably, knowing your type, a can of whatever soft drink your mother bought in a very large pack, because it's economically better for her that because you drink such a quantity of it. (a fact made obvious by your OMGNERDRAGE)

If this seems rather judgemental, and quite frankly, rude of me, then please take a moment to think of what the rest of the forum thought of you when you hulked out, and beat some dudes over the head with your perfected grammar and linguistic skills.

Now remember, just as you're obviously about to explain in a calm and orderly manner the reason for your outburst, that sometimes, people (especially not those who may look down on you for not taking those anger pills that your mother sneaks into your basket of cookies when you aren't looking) may infact not want to hear your opinion at all.

A G o o d [Good] rule of thumb is: If you don't have anything G o o d [Good] to say, or anything to perhaps help with future production; shut the *** up.

But I digress. Surely the coop is G o o d [Good] in some way, right?

I only wrote this because I hate you.

I was fine with the henchman thing, but now  you can´t even take back the items to your own game. Don´t say to me that this is a G o o d [Good] thing.

Now...how is it Lionheads fault you missunderstood with what they mean with Henchmen?
In Fable 1 you could hire a computer controlled Henchmen.
The way Co-op works you basicly get a player that controlls one instead of the game doing so.

While I and my army of fans are fully aware that I'm far from average, this is exactly what I expected from co-op. The ability to play together with a friend. And what do you know? The game delivers.

Seriously, what exactly were you expecting apart from that? The term co-op in gaming means that you can play together. Nothing more, nothing less.

DUDE !!! This is by far the funniest pic i have ever seen on any forum !!!
Havent played the game yet but i bet its as G o o d [Good] as everyone ( with there heads on there shoulders ) says it is !!!

I have been reading many many posts today and realized and understood what you were trying to do with the co-op... once i heard that you cant use your character in some one elses game... i understood why... you cant have some other player messing with your game... thats why the 2nd player has to use some premade character.

I understand... hopefully others will understand too... and enjoy !!!
cant wait to get home and play this game !!

Didn't he say that this was going to be the way that COUCH CO-OP is going to be? Not on-line CO-OP... if I'm in my world and I see an ORB I can simply log into their world. I'm still a HENCHMEN in their world but I should look like my own char!
