Well, this is my first post here, so first off, hello. ^-^

But the reason I'm posting in the first place is that I just need to get something off my chest. To everyone who is whining about the coop not being how they wanted it to be: yes, some of the things PM said where misleading. Yes, it's a shame that you can't have your own hero in a friend's world.

But you know what? Get the hell over it. It's hardly the end of the world.

Coop is not the be all and end all of Fable 2. It's just a feature that Lionhead added to try and make you happy. It's too bad it didn't meet your expectations, but I hardly think they deserve being called bad programmers. Let's face it. They're better than any of us.

One last thing. Get the hell of Woody's back. It was a joke, now get over it.

I think they mentioned something about wanting every hero to be unique to their world and two heroes might spoil that.

Im not bothered about the one hero thing, might have been nice but I accepted this a long time ago.

First - that's what they get when you release a game to the U.S first. It better be PERFECT or else.

Second - your'e right. there must be a reason why you can't have 2 hereos or a henchmen that LOOKS liek your hero... can we get a word from Lionhead as to why not?

Thanks for your positive comments. Coop really isn't what this game is about. I'm just happy to have a sequel to TLC, and play a new story, coop or not.

Wow, i was reading the forums and made an account just to reply here. 

I have to say, some of you are taking this co-op thing to the heart, I mean, it is not that serious. On the other hand, some of you are condescending people because they dislike the co-op. Everyone has the right to an opinion. An opinion does not equall a wall of complaints.

I do have to say I am dissapointed that I will not be able to see my character in co-op. Thousands of game do this, why couldn't they do it too? I really hope they add this feature in the future, it would be great to explore Albion with a freind as two unique heroes (or villains).

As much as I looked foward to that feature, i will still buy the game later today, and have heard great things about it so far. In short, congradulations to the dev team for a second Fable, and please consider a patch that will allow players to see eachothers characters. Happy gaming everyone.

FYI you can play more than one game online, since when can you only play fable, there is gears of war - you can own noobs, halo - you can own noobs, your parents bedroom - you can own your mom.

Soz if I caused offence but I done nothing before to critisize you.

Does seem kind of stupid that you can't bring your hero into other peoples games. The main draw of Fable is making your own character and they change depending on your choices in the world, to take that away kind of removes the point.

I won't be slinging insults, getting ass hurt or typing death threats to Lionhead employees though. Grow up kids, Fable 2 is not something that matters enough to get this wound up, it's only a game.

Though I expect initiative and response from LH regarding not seeing an unique hero hench while cooping, why should it be so hard to show off heroes together in co-op?

ok all these posts are scaring me a little since I planned on playing the entire game co-op from start to finish. I get that we won't look like the the other character but what does that mean for item sharing and magic use?! Does that mean I have to hold onto my wife's items and she has to re-equip every time she loads in? Being a henchman, do you even get to use magic or level for that matter? What it's sounding like is that the 2nd player will be running around as a helpless embodied NPC character begging for health potions and pooling Exp to drag back to "their" account so they can actually enjoy the game.  Am I wrong. WHAT. IS. CO-OP. REALLY.

Im sure that you will be fine, nobody is coming to take your house away because you couldnt pay the rent as it was all spent on a new game.

Im sure LionHead spent a lot of money on this aswell, all the bugs, glitches will all be patched up.

Im constantly suprised by Gamers, they are amazingly smart. Finding holes in coding and things like that. Im very impressed and disappointed at the same time.

In online co-op, guests will appear in one of several available henchmen models, reflecting the choices the hero has made. In offline, if there's another save on the HD, you get to wear your own clobber.

This was from 14th July. Sure it proves the online co-op was known about but what about the couch co-op? Playing in my stuff on couch co-op would be fine for me.

also, co-op has been buggy for people who join a childhood game with an adult character (they loose all there stuff in there adult savegame) and for me when we made a new gamesave for the second co-op player (same xbox) it erased my game and put theres in its place (although not specificaly a co-op issue, still an issue)

 

i am going to stay away from co-op entirely untill the next major patch.

The reason it "deleted" your other saved game is because you can only have one character per Xbox player profile. You need to make the other character on a 2nd profile. So basicly you just started a new game and it saved over your old one.

We aren't saying the game sucks, it was just poorly announced and obviously a lot of people have been made to believe the Xbox Live co-op was going to be different from the Couch co-op. As far as I can see no-one has complained about the gameplay specifically.

Thanks for that. I was not aware of the second save file. That at least answers outfits. And yeah all I truly care about is couch co-op.
