Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

Well if you guys think about it, Xbox360 bread and butter is its online gameplay, so if lionhead decides to make co-op a big thing as an announcement.  We'd expect grand things from it otherwise without online itd be another.. game like fallout 3 for example.

Btw is it me or is everyone that is complaining the people who already bought the game because i for one didn't get it and don't intend on getting it anytime soon Big Smile [:D] well other than the G o o d [Good] ol borrow and trade to a friend.

I don't understand how you don't understand insults temper tantrums and trolling? Did you just join a forum yesterday, is this you're first ever video game forum if that, have you ever been on a WoW forum or any other major video game forums. Any video game forum always have the fans using insults temper tantrums and trolling. Video games bring out the child in the oldest of people, expect to see that when something that was ADVERTISED to be in the game is not in the game. It's a players way, whether they are young or old to voice their opinion. Just ignore this random crap at bottom.

Not too much, mostly the unprofessional response given by Woody and the lack of support.

I can live with the shoddy co-op but I can understand why some people would be pissed off. My anger comes from the asinine joke made by a supposed developer.

Jokes can be in bad taste, it happens.

Ah...well, I guess I covered that in one of those long rants earlier on. Stick out tongue [:P] I guess some are more sensitive than others when it comes to that kind of thing

EDIT: I reread that and it sounds like an insult Tongue Tied [:S]; I didn't mean it in an insulting way, I just meant that I'm a girl and didn't find it sexist or offensive. I thought it was actually pretty funny, but then I'm not very angry with the developers either so...

I also understand your point of view but yes, you're not upset. These people are upset because they got lied to and they did(I will prove it several times over if need be).

How do you act when you're pissed off?

Developers should understand this, not poke the tiger with a stick..

Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

Since my other post bugged =/ here is the rest. /edit once again bugged gg

I for one am unsatisfied with the quality of co-op. It is one of the major features in the game that they advertised would be a dynamic and fun Normal 0 napToGridInCell/> MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 ection1;} --> /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman";} experience yet obviously it isn't for the majority. If it is a major feature expect players to buy the game for a major reason, idk lets just say hmmm...perhaps a major feature such as "gasp" co-op? Yes, I know it may suprise you that some people were looking forward to this as advertised awesome dynamic adventure that you can hop in and out of with your friends not some bland not very dynamic adventure that you have to go through loading screens and pick you're "pre-made" henchman. Of course players are going to be upset even if their own hero the most important aspect of the game isn't even useable when they play co-op.

Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

I am abit disapointed that your aperance is that of only a henchman but a lot of people on this thred are just going to far.
I wanted to play this game with my buddy over live cos iv moved out now but its nuthing to get so upset about, especialy considering its only the look (and wepons i think) that arnt transfered the skills are and who knows you might be able to make a hench man just like you real hero.

I think theres a nice reason for the henchman only, being that this is your world your suposed to be the big man looking awsome doing all the deeds and saving the planet, if another hero did this with you then it would take away some of the glory and in some sense lionhead would of had to program the game to do that to keep there simulation correct.

Yeah, that's why it doesn't bother me that you can only be a henchman.  But seriously, that camera needs some fixing, badly.

wow, that is just pathetic. As the original poster of this thread, i find that very offensive. I mean it goes to show us (the huge massivley loyal fan base) that you all at Lionhead dont give a Rats Sh1t about us now that you have all your cash. I will make sure though, that every blog/discussion/website selling your game that i can write a review about will know that this game is lacking in ever aspect that you promised us in this game. I was a Huge fan of fable one. and now this.....I have beat the game. i have gotten more STDs then anyone in the world of Alibon (no seriously, check the leader board,Im rancor2001) and I think my 2 and a half days of having this game has kinda been a waste.....so many features promised in this game are really lame. NOTHING YOU HAVE DONE IN THIS GAME IS GROUNDBREAKING LIKE IT HAS BEEN PROMISED! Actually, thanks for the hand bags. its more fun to stare at then any of the *** in this game (I mean, come on, how many times can you fight beatles before it just gets stupid) So, thanks for the professionalism, Mr Dev Team Guy, your awesome.

Now im just ranting. I think i will take this time to sell it on Ebay.

The hype was the funnest part about this game. thanks guys!

yea you got to be kidding me. Why cant you bring your fable 2 hero into someone else's game. And there should be seperate cameras for each player. Also the second player should also be able to pick up items

    Agreed.

I'll hold off on picking this game up until it's a true co-op experience.

Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

Ok, I am not saying that I was cheated out of Co-Op, I am not saying the Co-Op is broken or doesn't work, the problem is that I was lead to believe by PM that the way my character looks and the armor he buys is important. If I am the only person that can see him, what is the point? I might as well go buy some Horse Armor.

I will not being buying this game, that I looked so forward to, because I wanted it to play Co-Op as ME with my friend as HIM. Co-Op was the sole reason I wanted this game, and with so many other great games coming out right now I would rather spend $60 on something else. I will probably pick this game up some time in the future, maybe after a price drop, or after the holiday season, but not now, not how it is at the moment.

Edit: It is not like I want the whole game recreated from scratch. I just wished for a simple(simple to me not a programmer Stick out tongue [:P]) model swap.

see thats why i could not be bothered to pay for this crap. companies promise co-ops and never deliver, what is with these companies, *** u think that people would not catch on, listen get off ur asses do whats right and call it a day.

you should never make promises that u cant keep..... the funny part is Xbox should regalate these types of issues, i mean we pay 60$ plus taxes then we get home we play then we go online and the online is ***,comapnies should be penalized for misleading customers..

Many companies may promise and not deliver, but this co-op ordeal is a case of ignorance on the fans part.  Lionhead delivered 100% on what they promised with co-op.  It might not be what people wanted, but it's exactly what Lionhead promised.

    hahahaha!!!

even the lionhead dudes are telling people to piss off!

this is awesome! they know they released another half-assed game....

guys, we bought an updated version of the SIMS with major flaws, and the kids at lionhead just make fun of you guys for talking trash about the game! really, what does this tell you about the quality of their product looking at the quality of their employees?

look... we bought a copy, might as well spend today finishing the story (heard i can finish in a day?) and then return it....

hold up hold up...... LMFAO!!! they spent all their time with the story.... and it takes 10 hours?............ oh man that sucks ORLY [orly]

Personally they should tell you all to *** off and not give a damn what you think. And if your through the game in 10 hrs you actually suck at playing. You didn't complete the whole game. I am now 15 hrs in and barely half way though. Playing all possible side quests and doing the jobs. I even merge my pub character with 1 mill and still dont have enough money. So shut it.

Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

I loved the single player part of this game and managed to get myself a copy of the game early...So I've already beaten the game and i loved it period to the hard core......... and today when the live update was done... I decided to play the online co-op... I'm disappointed with it for these main reason's,  the fact that a lot of the achievements hinted at the fact that other players could get married in other peoples worlds, have kids in other peoples worlds, Own propriety in other peoples worlds, and make your character either G o o d [Good] or E v i l [Evil] to the extreme in other peoples worlds.  This doesn't seem to be the case cause you can't buy any thing in the co-op experience or really advance your character at all other then experience and getting money.... I can understand with being a lackey to the hero in other peoples worlds but to not allow customization in the fact of owning things is not cool. At least put a patch out that will allow you to get all these things that i said in here... and by the way what happened to the floating orb's? Cause if i remember E3 you could just go up and select other players playing it from the orb's floating around in your universe?

The only thing that's somewhat annoying is that we were lead to believe otherwise.

Also, didn't PM say that the henchmen would be based on your Fable 2 hero if the gamertag had one during co-op? I only see premade selections between gender/alignment.

After thinking seriously about the Co-op as I'm in UK and have'nt got it yet I accepted it for what it was. Your friend plays as a Generic henchmen who has the skills of your friends character but also gets paid so they extra cash in there world. Even though the Co-op is'nt like I thought it works out extremely well and I thank Lionhead for there take on things. I'll sure to be enjoying my copy on the 24th! Stick out tongue [:P]

Yup, he said it would be based off your character in looks and stats, or you could choose a pre-determined hero.

    They lied in that aspect...meh.

Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

My brother and I were playing offline co-op, and found it quite fun. I myself do not have a 360 yet, but I was getting pumped up for buying one then this game. I thought we could both run around freely, with our own characters. I then read the manual again, and spotted the henchman online. I mean, the whole henchman thing I might be okay with...but the locked camera, too!? Come on, guys! If we could have moved freely (and/or with our own hero), it seriously might have been the funnest game I have ever played. Now...I'm only going to get this game for the single player. :3

That's a bit of a Learish move. You buy the game, you play it, and then you *** and moan about the Lionhead because they actually gave you something new in the Fable series, just missing the one measely thing that it seems you actually gave the biggest *** about.

I think if someone is gonna be so obnoxious as to throw something that so much work was put into back in the developer's face because the smallest thing is missing is such a *** move that you didn't deserve the game in the first place. Some kid is gonna open that copy of his game on Christmas and whether he mistreats his Xbox or game disc or whatever, he wouldn't be perioding out on the co-op. Tool.

How much Lionhead buttock are you actually planning on kissing here? Do you think they are going to give you a medal or some type of in-game title like "AssMaster" or something?

Not gonna happen dude. Let it go. Just ... let it go.

Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

heres how i see it as having "two" heroes in the same world, the game is awsome dont get me wrong i love it and the coop is fine how it is, but they said that the henchmen was a "job" for your hero and youd earn money for it, you use YOUR character for blacksmithing and woodcutting, why not as a henchmen, this is the only problem i have which is minor to me but it would be cool to see how my bro and friends world reacts to my hero rahter then a premade henchmen, thats my opinion

Re: Are you Serious with the CO Op

Yes the co op has some flaws, and i agree we were definitely misled but calm down a lil bit. like other post said, say it in a respectful way.  But for those who defense is that the co op is an optionally feature, i agree but it was an optional feature that was the main feature or just right behind the dog.  So we do have a right to get upset about the game and also complain about it if we bought it.  We spent our money on their product, if they lied to us then they are to blame, if they misled us then they lied to us. But on the co op i think the main thing i would like to see is the rubberband off, i dont care if i look like an henchman i just want to have some freedom in there game the second thing is to have my items and money and be able to interact in there world such as buy items like health potions, better weapons that sort of stuff. I played today with a friend of mine who is a game reviewer so since he has been playing it for at least of week and had a lot of knowledge on the game so it wasnt as bad since right away i knew what to expect and didnt hate the co op but didnt love it.  This is a G o o d [Good] step up from the first but they still have quite a bit of things to polish in this game alone.

Nobody will care you don't buy the game. Only yourself. It's JUST co-op.

Get over it, go play the bloody game. Grow some balls. For the sake of embarassing yourself again.
