Please forgive this long rant I am about to make but this issue is close to my heart.
Looking through the bugs some of you guys have I feel almost ashamed at putting these ones down...
After I imported the Sleepmaster 3000 from the Fable Pub Games, the furniture store in Bowerstone Market stopped selling furniture and now only sells the book "Pretty on the inside".
Its a shame i have to go to Bloodstone each time to buy my furniture. Its just one of those annoying things.
The other Glitch I have...
After doing the Bounty Hunter job in Bowerstone, I accidently smashed some windows using a spell whilst killing Bandits. Imagine my anger when these windows refuse to repair and make the place look like crap.
These Bugs wouldn't be so bad if i hadn't got my character to full stats, completion of game, all legendary weapons, 100% of the properties and over £14,000,000 legitimately. I ain't starting again after that so I'm just going to play Saints Row 2 until a patch comes out.
Maybe if we had MULTIPLE SAVE SLOTS we could just load a previous save game instead of going right back to the start because we can't fix these bugs. That was the case with Oblivion. I know they want us to live with choices but I don't see why we should live with sloppy development. After all Peter said he didn't want to stop players doing what they wanted and having fun when making a reference about higher experienced players helping lower experienced players so why the hell are players having to live with anything anyway.
Or maybe we could have a MASTER RESET option that completely cleans all areas and returns Monies, Items and Economy to as if you had never been there, once you had completed the game. Then at least you could go buy everything back "Bug-Free" and could actually enjoy the game. Maybe something with the Spire cleaning Abion or a few years passing in-game could help tidy up any storyline problems.
The amount of bugs in this game is very bad to be honest. Considering how annoyed I am at having a week of my real life time wasted with these small bugs I can imagine how annoyed you guys are with the whole ARMY of bugs out there.
Dynasty Warriors had less bugs... (and yes i mean Dynasty Warriors 1)
Saying all this I am a real Fable 1 fanboy. Fable 1 really made me think differently like seeing a really
movie or reading a really
book. It helped me come to terms with choices I've made and realise that most people live in the "Grey" area of morality. Because of this I don't feel so bad about some of the dumb things I've done.
But so far all I've heard is Fable 2 comparing itself to Fable 1. Its bigger, its smoother, its better. Trouble is, its a whole new Generation of console, it sure as hell should be and in my opinion (and almost everyone I've spoken too on Live's too) it sure as hell isn't. It aint half as
as Fable 1 in comparison to the tools available to the artist, in the same way a really
pencil sketch can be better than a really lame, blurred photo taken at speed by a blind, limbless mokey. Sure Fable 1 had a cliched beginning, a tongue in cheek middle and a cheesy bad guy, but thats what made it the awesome game it was.
I think the only way Fable 2 can be the game it promised is downloadable content, multiple save slots, a master reset to clear out bugs, being able to show off your hero as a henchman on co-op, and it needs to be done fast.
Peter said he has become better at telling stories since Fable 1 and I have to agree.
We sure as hell was sold some story...
I know they want us to live with choices but I don't see why we should live with sloppy development.
