It happened to me too and now I have no audio on the videos explaining each ability. All these bugs are really bringing down my whole enjoyment of the game. Hope this gets fixed soon since cause other than that this is pretty amazing game.

Not yet, but I had an dea that GMs could do to help people. In journal,shows total XP earned. GMs could get a custom potion that does that much xp(general), go into persons game, give them all xp, then drink it or gift it. Might be troubbesome, but it would help.

1 - This isn't a MMORPG, there are no GMs that can reimburse.

If your savegame in Mario or another singleplayer game (even those that you can play online) gets corrupted there is nothing to do about it.

It's a shame that there are so many bugs in this game, but it won't help whining about it and asking for a reimbursement of your EXP since it simply isn't possible.

Just use one of the "exp glitches" to get your EXP back.

THis has happend to me. Recently i went round my friends house and he had just bought the game so i decided to help him out. I joined his game and had loads of fun. I then got home and went to play Falbe 2 on my own to find out that everythink had been erased, My abilities, Experience and gold ... All gone i was so annoyed but knew i couldnt do anythink about it and decided to start allover.

I wish everybody would cut Lionhead some slack! All I've seen is "RAAAAGE I'M SO *%&"$* MAD!!!" Yet, not one of you has mentioned WHY you wanted this game, and WHY you love it so much for this to annoy you.

It's a game, and yes, you do put your time and money into it,but so did they. They tried their damn hardest to give us everything we wanted so just chill out and enjoy the game. If you had to try that hard to get some money and exp that you can't stand going through it again, well maybe you should try a game like Pacman because this game is OBVIOUSLY way too hard for you.

On the other hand, Lionhead I think you did an absolutely wonderful job on the game. No glitch is going stop me from enjoying it.

I've hit the same problem now too, all because I wanted to help a mate get into the game. 

Not sure I can face starting from the begining again..........

Oh well.

This sort of thing really does put you off, especially when the big draw of this game for me is couch co-op with my girlfriend, but as i understand it, as long as we play as already created characters and DONT start a new game then the glitch wont hit?

This glitch happened to my friend when he joined his sisters childhood game, he was so pissy about everything for a while but got over it and just trained for a while, glitched some gold and earned all his renown back and he's almost back to how he was when it wiped his profile.

But i think you shouldn't be too bothered by it just redo everything or make a new profile. The game is so amazing it's not boring to do another profile. Yes its an inconvenience to redo everything but there are easy ways to get back your exp and money (without glitching if you want)

I don't think i'd get all pissy if it happened to me - i'd just do another account or something i might just join my friends and just play with them to get exp back.

And to those who are bothered really badly by this glitch: then **** off and get another game without glitches or just accept Fable 2 is an amazing game but has a few problems and get over it!!

This post is directed to Lionhead Studios and all of my fellow players who need to be aware of this bug so it doesn't happen to you.  I need to state clearly, I have tried this on LOCAL coop with the game patched to the latest.  I have not tried this on online coop yet.  But I assume it will yield the same results.

And again, I apologize if this has been mentioned before.  There isn't a bug report forum so I have no idea what has been posted in terms of this problem.

It's simple.  My brother stopped by for a visit last night and loaded up his own XBOX Live profile, while I loaded mine.  He created a NEW Fable II game, and I joined his game with my existing character.  I had lots of spells, thousands of gold and experience.  Well it appears the game initializes at some point during the child experience and it erases your gold, experience and all of your abilities.  0.  Zip.  Nada.

Upon testing coop play when both games were already in Hero phase, the game worked correctly and each player had their own experience and abilities. 

Lionhead, you need to fix this, because i'm sure people would like to jump in with their characters to help out noobie friends, and they are going to be pissed when all their hard work was completely wiped.  There is no getting it back either.  You just take a total loss.

The work around for now is... if you have a player who is just starting out, do not join their game until they are least out on their own and heading for Browerstone.  I would also like to get some confirmation on this bug just to make sure i'm not missing something to duplicate this.

Thanks for your time, and I hope I save some of you the headache of this in the future.

This is true, now not only did everything I have get wiped out, but it seems now I will have to start over to get rid of this audio glitch too?

It is already horrible enough that I lost everything, but at least there are exp and gold exploits to get them back, though I'm still not sure what to do about all the renown.

Lionhead, is there any way to get the audio back on the ability screens? 

And are there anymore side effects from this bug that we should know about?

This is a great game, I actually stopped playing Fallout 3 for it, but I need to know: Does this bug cause irrevocable damage to your save?  I would hate to grind for hours to get everything back, only to find out that some other things were lost/broken and I'd need to start completely over...

To attempt to avoid this glitch, I'm beginning a new character, taking him through childhood to Bowerstone, THEN getting into a co-op game with my friend.

By the way, in most explanations of the glitch, it seems to always be the henchman who returns to their game to find their character wiped clean. Are there any instances where the host character is affected?
