I am pretty sure you need to be logged out of "Xbox.com" before you can open the chest. This worked for me! I was unable to access the chest until  Logged out.

Just came back from Okinawa this morning, and I found many posts regarding Bonus Content not working in-game...

From what I've seen (from my friends and colleagues), all people who have Bonus Content card inside their copies of Fable II Limited Collector's Edition don't have any problem regarding the Bonus Content (e.g. missing, can't be obtained in-game), while people who happened to have their copies of Fable II Limited Collector's Edition missing its Bonus Content card (ones that received the redeem code from e-mail) mostly are having problem obtaining the content in-game, while few others can obtain the content with no problem.

In this case, I don't have any problem with the Bonus Content, and here are my specification:

- Xbox 360 Pro 20GB, Xbox 360 Elite 120GB and Xbox 360 Pro 60GB, all are NTSC-J Japan (only for references, since console's region might or might not supposed to be have no effect regarding contents).

- 1 (one) copy of Fable II Limited Collector's Edition, US/America version, shipped with both Bonus Content card and 48-Hour Xbox LIVE Gold Trial card, stated as having no region protection (playable even with local Japan Xbox 360).

- Redeemed Bonus Content code, found on the card.

As I stated before, I didn't have any problem and/or issue of obtaining the Bonus Content for all my Heroes.

Then here are the specification of one of my close friends who is having problem regarding Bonus Content (only obtainable to some of her Heroes):

- Xbox 360 Elite 120GB NTSC-U/C.

- 1(one) copy of Fable II Limited Collector's Edition, US/America version, shipped with 48-Hour Xbox LIVE Gold Trial card but missing its Bonus Content card.

- Redeemed Bonus Content code, received from Microsoft via e-mail.

Some of her Heroes are able to open the chest and obtain the content (2 of 6 Heroes) while the rest received the message about fable2.com and failed to open the chest. I don't know if it's the content, the game, or anything else, but surely there's something wrong...

As for what krzy06gsxr600 posted before, I can confirm that it's working. Please take a note that it's working for people who don't redeem any A Hero's Tales rewards, or at least that's what I saw from my colleagues who don't play A Hero's Tales but cannot open the chest even with the Bonus Content downloaded and saved to their harddrive.

If you're online, don't play A Hero's Tales (don't redeem any reward) and cannot open the chest to obtain the Bonus Content you've downloaded, please do these:

- Turn off your internet modem or simply plug off the internet cable (you can't log off from LIVE unless you log off your profile).

- While not connecting to LIVE, open the chest to obtain the Bonus Content.

The reason why you can't open the chest while you're connected to LIVE is probably because the game detected your status (online) and try to connect to LIVE server to check your rewards (and download any). Since you don't have any reward redeemed (even if you've won any), the game probably lock the chest (because it probably thinks that there is nothing to be obtained in the chest) and you're unable to obtain the Bonus Content.

This doesn't happen to me, but did happen to some of my colleagues, and that trick is working for them.

Will there be any problems if I delete the first DLC download that I have on my HDD and entered a new code to replace the old DLC content that I deleted? Will I able to get the DLC content if I use a new code? The last 1st one I redeemed was from an email from Microsoft and the new one will be from the DLC card that was supposed to be originally in the game. Can someone enlighten me?

Here is what I did. I am connected to xbox live, i go to the chest and it says to go to fable2.com to see how to unlock the items. I go to fable2.com and login with my gamertag. I then go through game three times and choose each crown. I then come home and login to my XBOX and xbox live using the same gamer tag i logged into on the website. I go to the chest and it says the same thing. Go to fable2.com to see how to unlock the contents, like I never did. I go back to the site and do it again and it says an error has happened because I have already redeemed the prizes. I have never opened the chest and I am pretty sure I have the normal game.

Why wont the chest open?

Hmm.... I hope the chest gets patched.  So you can open it multiple times.

I am also part of the above group of chest-locked players. Am I to understand that there is currently NO way of opening the stupid chest? And that we are awaiting the arrival of a mythic patch? Great...

Okay, I am using Mozilla Firefox which has the latest version of Flash installed. For some odd reason, the Fable II Experience page isn't working for me. At all.

Any recommendations?

I redeemed my code for the bonus items and got them. Then I played the games on fable2.com and went into the chamber and was able to get gold for the chicken kicker but I was not given the other items even though I already completed the flash video three times. I can't figure out what to do.

HI, i tried doing the three quest on the fable website thing. and right when i finish and put in my user name it says that ihave already done it or somethings wrong. was there a time limit on when you could do it? or is it just down right now?

As long as you don't delete it, the Bonus Content will always be available to any Hero(es) upon starting a new game, or your current Hero(es) if you still have the chest intact (closed), so there is NO NEED to re-download the content again.

Umm, i got the Web stuff on my fable account but the chest closed after that, i redeemed my code but i cant open it again. it says go to fable2.com

and, if i make a new account will it delete my old one? and how do i choose if i ge the web stuff or the DL stuff?

 

And also, on google every one says you get Hal's armor from the mysterious chest that pops up after you first level up.

Is that true or do you get it from the chest your talking about?

Oh and also, I do have the Master Chief name thing from the town squire. I dont know if you can only get that from limited edition or not but i do have limited.

I think that Lionhead should Stop working on the bonus content and start working on something people already paid for like fixing this glitch. Im pretty sure this could be a lawsuit for not saying that if we get the online stuff we wont get the limited stuff. We all payed extra for this content and they are making new maps that will cost money also, intead of fixing the problems they already have.

So I figured I would drop in with an update to my no LCE in game issue.

I have been on the phone with M$ many many, many times over the course of the last 2 months to try to figure out what can be done to get me this content. I have tried every possible fix given from M$ techs and this site as well, unfortunately theyall end in the same no content access in the game. I have been able to retain all content won from the Fable2.com website as well as all the content I won in the pub games, but no such luck with the LCE content.

The basic just of it is that the first code I was given ( I have been given 2 subsequent codes for a total of 3 now) was the faulty one, and is the one that is locked to my system. Whenever I try to download oneofthe new codes I was given, instead of downloading the new code it jsut automatically reverts to the first faulty code. We have tried every possible thing to make it so that the first code/download can be removed from my system but as it is linked to my GT and system there is no way to remove the download history.

Basically this has been nothing but a big nightmare for me and has drug on way too long. I basically have set down Fable 2 for about a month and a half in the hopes of actually being able to play the game with the LCE content I paid for but have about had enough of waiting for M$ to get their excrement together and figure out how to get this working for me.

lol not worth me buying collecters edition...oh actually i might hav that.
any way i sucked at fable one treasure hunting but that dog really helps me in fable 2 and i have found many treasures although i think they should add some big monsters...there are too many small bugs and flies i come accross while hunting for werewolves.
i loved that troll u fight near end of story and the only other time i can experiance a troll attack is at the cruicible arena but thats a different type of troll...weaker

this game needs a certain spot where trolls hangout that we can kill.
i have maximized all my hero skills to 5 and its now boring and i invite my friend to come with me in the arena and fight.

although i would really love a player vs player addition...i mean who would'nt?

they don't show up in the shops until after you win them in the hero's tale game. just means you can have more than one of each, really.

Exactly the same problem here. I can get the dye and chickensuit from shops but not the expression book. It's so frustrating as this is my fourth hero and the only one that hasn't had any serious glitches, and yet I can't get this last expression!

I am still having issues with gaining gold for Fable 2. First, I played some of the games and was somewhat successful at Chicken Kicker which I played for about five hours to build a healthy reserve. I opened the chest and received the chicken suit and the Hal outfit but no "big" gold. I continued to play despite my growing frustration for the game only to read that my frustration was glitch related. I figured that's why my dog wouldn't find treasure even though I was able to get all three books and my quests would re-appear after they were completed. I started over to find two of the "glitches" fixed but I have yet to open the chest because I am shut out of the Chicken Kicker game. I get a "Hark!... blah, blah, blah no prize for you" message.
I'm not a big gamer, there are few games I can really get into but I am getting too frustrated to continue. Can anyone help?
