You can find "thugs" in Bloodstone, but the one I found, I have absolutely no idea how to get them to give me gifts.

I went to my Clothing options, went to outfit then made myself naked then I chose the Explorer Outfit just as you said, but it doesn't automatically put on the Highroller's Coat or anything, or say anything like "Explorer Coat"... Nothing was put on for coats.What you made it sound like was that it'll automatically put it on, but this isn't working for me. Any reason why?

Also would these gifts from Thugs/Tart NPCs remain possible if you marry them and make them your spouse? Or would their gifts change?

same here. choosing the Explorer outfit does NOT equip the Highroller coat, so not sure about that info. as for getting the tarts & thugs to give gifts, i think when each newly spawns it has a % chance of having a gift, so if yours don't, kill 'em if you're bad. for you can lead them into areas w/ enemies and let them get killed or you could probably just lead them out of the loading zone and dismiss them.they should  respawn. i've done this a number of times (leading into getting killed) trying to get gifts to show, or trying to get a lesbiam to show at the gypsy camp.

as for thugs, you'd probably have a much better chance of getting gifts if you DON'T improve Westcliff. lotsa Thugs there before, none after.

 Apocolyptic pink i think is the only one i don't have, the rest you get from clothing traders in fairfax gardens

i see that pink all the time at tailors in the Market.

oh and while we're talking obscure ways to get 'secret" equipment, hows about them 3-4 aug slot weapons?? love to hear any tips on those from the developers! needs me a couple

I just recieved my first gift from a whore in a tart skirt and it was just a potion like the 99% of the crap I get. The only time I got something other than a potion, was when a wife on my last game gave me a stove right before getting shot in the head...

Ah finally, confirmation!

This is to know and now I don't have to waste time hunting for these items too! And I always knew that the high-roller's coat was the explorer's coat.

It seems that when you start a character it sets a chance for finding each dye, I have found many of one dye, but none of some others, for example, I haven't found apocalyptic pink yet, but I've found many of "envy green" or something like that.

The chance of finding the 5 star dyes depends on the economy in the city. Mainly bowerstone market and fairfax. I've managed to collect all the dyes on one character by raising the economy to 5 stars and checking back every now and then.

As for augmented weapons, there are only 2 slots for normal weapons. I think the halo sword might have 3 slots. Legendary weapons come with 1-3 augments, but they come pre-augmented.

I have never seen apocalyptic pink is one of those items you got for doing the fable 2 game at xbox.com? I have everything i think but that one, the only pink ones i have is: Scarlet slime, Insatiable butcher pink, Valiant avenger pink. I guess i will have to look for that one.

Nope, my dog dug it up somewhere midway in the main quest. Just be sure to max your dog out on treasure hunting.

That stinking apocalyptic pink dye is all over the place in my game but not hide nor hair of the liquid gold dye anywhere. I would love to swap you an apocalyptic pink for a liquid gold but if you haven't got a liquid gold just hit me up in-game (mwcarlson) and I will give you one for nothing (I think I have three right now). Hell, I gave some random guy 10,000 last night. I have so much to spare I am just giving it away. Of course, if someone is really desperate for a nice gun, I would be happy to hand over the Devastator in exchange for a High Roller's Coat and some liquid gold dye.

Ok, my friend and I have been trying to attain these as gifts since the news broke, and we haven't had any luck. we've received a total of about 250 items from tart and thug spouse's and we've received tons of potions, furniture, dog collars, books, dyes, necklaces, gemstones, gold, and in some instances, only with the thugs, we received weapons.

now the thugs giving weapons while the tart's didn't is an interesting occurrence, but neither has given a single piece of clothing. much less these rarest of rare items.

has anyone received anything yet? and if so, how?

can the dev tell me, does the thug or tart being a spouse affect the items they give? so far we've received the same items from npc's that weren't our spouse, so we haven't noticed a difference in the item pool between spouse and non-spouse.

more clarification would be appreciated. thanks a lot!

My quest to find a 4 slot Master weapon ends now. Sad. .I'm afraid to put augments in my Hal sword in case Fable 2 get some DLC that contains better augmentations.

Also I can not find these bandit boots or gloves, willing to trade items(sex change potions, rare items, rare clothes(pub game), rare items) and whatnot for them. Oh and tart stuff.

Honestly i think this is crazy, i've been trying like crazy to get gifts from thugs... I mean do you have to be a woman or man, or , currupt or pure... I understand that it's a challenge to overcome but for people to know now how and still nothings come up yet? Thats a little to hard... don't you think.

I am married to a 'whore' or 'tart' on my character (male), and all she gives me is various experience potions as gifts, so I am guessing that you'd have to get the clothes from them while you're not married to them.

it's very possible, however we received a report over at gamefaqs of someone being given the bandit boots by a thug wife. no evidence of this was provided however we received the report after the announcement in this thread was plastered all over the boards over there. in addition i've taken my own screenshots of my pair of bandit boots and there are several other members that i have interacted with that can vouch for me. my point is the guy would have no reason to lie at this point. we already know some people have em, and we already know it's not impossible to get them, so why would he make that up, right? well, it's all inconclusive until they're all found as far as i'm concerned.
