Bandit Outfit... He was saying that he's been gifted both an Eye Patch and Bandit Shirt from various Thug's. Confirming that yes, they do give clothes. Unlike any of the spouses that we've gotten a gift from (700+ gifts actually, between me and Tallgeese). It's seems the only way to get the Bandit Boots and Gloves is to kill kill kill, respawn, kill kill kill...and hope somewhere in there you get a couple gifts.

ok... i'm about ready to kill myself, i can't keep going destroying westcliffe like this, it's been 3 days. does ANYONE have any leads on an easier way to get them, or does someone want to trade me for the bandit boots....? i have extras.

It seems that after you purchase some clothing with a character and you start a new character, those items will be found for sale in the early shops, even if it wasn't the case before. Anyone else find this?

And if this IS true, then maybe once you get one of the hard to find clothing items, THEY will show up in shops for new characters?

 

EDIT: I will give anyone a serious amount of gold, or the red dragon or most anything for tart gloves and boots, btw.

 

dude... i'm GIVING them all away, once we get them and dupe them. i already have about 5 copies of the bandit gloves and boots, and mookey's coming later with the tart boots. and everyone that contributes one of the items to the cause get's ANYTHING they want from me, multiple devastation augments, 999,999,999 gold, any legendary weapons, all the dolls, etc.

so why are you trying to get them first? just friend me on live and you'll get them for free. if you get them first, you're screwing over everyone who's been working at this for the past 2 weeks.

it may be possible, but it's no easier than not marrying her, i've received around 400 items from my tart wife and haven't gotten a single piece of clothing.

Yea I found the gloves earlier today and gave them to him to make the copies. Now I have the boots and gloves o the bandit outfit. Many thanks Tallgeese.

And I was just wondering. Since we now know that there are bandit and tart items you can only get from thug and whore gifts, are there other items you can only get from gifts?

Specifically I mean Explorer gloves. There's a coat (highroller), shirt, pants, and boots but I've never seen gloves. Could someone let us know if we can only get those from upper-class people giving them as gifts? Or if they don't exist at all?

according the the guide, they don't exist, they're not in the list. however, if they are wrong, as they were with the explorer's coat, i would think the traveler npc's would give them out.

I think i'll wait on killing for possible explorer gloves until a dev answers me.

So TallgeeseIIII you don't mind if we friend you now, even though the tart gloves haven't been found?  This is misspriscris from gamefaqs btw.  Also, I have spent around 8 hours today killing Bloodstone, zoning to Bowerstone Market, sleeping for 7 days, killing Bloodstone, repeat, repeat.  I haven't gotten a single rare item yet.

Is it possible the 2% rate they gave us was wrong?  Or am I just extremely unlucky?  I'd think with myself and at the least the other 5 people I KNOW about actively trying to get these 4 items, we would have gotten them all by now.
