personally i think the 2% deal is BS. if it is true, then we all have the worst luck ever. slider and i have been trying every techniqe possible for about 12 hours a day since wednesday to get these and we haven't got ***. i was given an eye patch and a bandit shirt... nothing else. and not a single whore has given me anything of value. so i don't know what to believe. i'm just gonna keep trying until either i find it or someone else does.

and please feel free to friend me.

So are the people saying that they found the Explorer coat in the game full of crap?
"What? I've never even met this woman. . .Who is she?

well i'm not going to sit here and pretend i know everything. but until we see pics, the dev's answer overrules theirs in my mind. i personally believe they are confusing the ranger's coat with the explorer coat, or they have the highroller's coat and do realize it's the same thing but didn't clarify that they know that in their post.

has anyone noticed that the secondary color cannot be changed on the highrollers coat...?, maybe the explorer's coat is the same as the highrollers but you can change the secondary, i know the devs said something about it being the same or something but just saying its a thought,
    I'll get creative...

Tallgeese, I friended you on Live.

I'm interested in seeing these bandit items. Those are the names, right? I'm constantly suspicious of people doing dye jobs or something.

Also, if you need someone else to help with duping, I'll do it. I can't do much else until they fix the abbot.Stick out tongue [:P]

    Stupid 256 character limit.

Man this is nuts! I started off G o o d [Good], first tart gave me a top, others some dyes. I didn't  even have to kill anyone for a while. Just slept for a long time and they'd have gifts. Now I have to wipe out the whole town just to get one or maybe two gifts, and its rarely the tarts given 'em out now. When will it end?

Re: The explorer coat, bandit boots and gloves, and tart items

Ok the bandit gloves are definitely real. I got a pair tonight due to a glitch that happened to me during an assassin mission. I got a mission to kill Adam the Thug in Oakvale. When I got there I had no golden trail. After looking for him all over I found him in the inn. He was a crossdresser. When I killed him the mission did not complete. He kept reappearing and I found his spawn point by accident and was able to kill him over and over.

As I was doing this to exploit the experience gain the Bandit gloves dropped. He appeared with many random gifts and potions during the time I killed him but only one Bandit item. I have pictures for proof here and they real. You can see the spikes on the gloves. One hand is only a wrist wrap so that hand is pretty much bare. The gloves are brown in color and are very simple except for the spikes which look cool.

Eventually my box locked up and when I loaded the game back up he would no longer respawn. I had been hoping to get him to drop the boots. I also have a picture of the pile of corpses that I made after killing him a bunch of times. Eventually the game would get so laggy I would have to turn or walk away to let the bodies disappear.

And the bottom pick was taken before I got the bandit gloves because I was originally just going to report the glitch. That pick was made with my carriage gloves on. I have them dyed dark red with brown trim. I am unable to finish the assassin mission and it will not drop out of my log. I'm pretty ticked about that.

wow, that's pure insanity in glitch form. it's cool that you have the bandit gloves now but it doesn't really help us... we only need the tart gloves now. i know you didn't mean to get them, so you can ignore what i'm about to say, i'm talking to everyone else.

STOP KILLING THUGS! WE HAVE THEIR ITEMS ALREADY!! KILL WHORES!!!!

That pile of bodies is hilarious.  Why is Adam the Thug dressed like a woman?  Maybe he's not as thugish as he thought. Stick out tongue [:P]

Re: The explorer coat, bandit boots and gloves, and tart items

My guess is that he was trying to disguise himself because he knew they were after him. Once you pull a weapon on him he goes red and pulls a weapon on you. It was a pretty funny twist on things actually but I'm upset that I can't complete it meaning I probably can't get any more assassin missions.

Tallgeese I only posted the pic because nobody else had put one in this thread and it seemed like people were still questioning their existence. No offense taken though. Stick out tongue [:P]

Is killing a viable way to find these items. I have killed off all of the tart whores, and they have yet to respawn. Any help?

Re: The explorer coat, bandit boots and gloves, and tart items

Fast travel somewhere far away from Bloodstone, like Rookridge or Oakfield, and then travel back.  They have to respawn, and for the amount of hours you spend "travelling" when you get back, they should have all respawned.  I know sometimes I will kill a whore say in front of the bar, travel out and come back, only to not have her there, but now I have one in front of the alchemist shop.

I have killed over 3000 people trying to get these gifts, not to mention all the ones I've had follow me somewhere else and leave them, when playing on my G o o d [Good] characters.  Very frustrating.

I do have a question, though.  I thought you only got furniture as a gift from a spouse?  Because today I got a gift from a whore that was a 1 or 2 star child's bed, and she wasn't my wife.

Not once have I ever gained the bandit gloves or boots, sadly..Although, I am willing to trade the Maelstrom for those and the highroller's jacket. >.>

Normal whores keep respawning, but not tart whores. I must have some bad luck. I'll try again to help find these items tomorrow.

Re: The explorer coat, bandit boots and gloves, and tart items

    1. there's no set way to get them to give you gifts.

    2. it can be any whore, not just the tart whores.

    3. it takes 7 days albion-time for npc's to respawn.

    4. yes, you can just kill them and take the gift.

Re: The explorer coat, bandit boots and gloves, and tart items

Okay so I thought of knew the Highroller Coat was the Explorer Coat.

But now I was searching for tugs in Bloodstone and I found a guy who likes the ''Explorer Coat'' so now I'm not sure I'm kind of convinced now there has to be a coat called the Explorer Coat cause otherwise it would have said ''Likes: Highroller Coat'' wouldnt it?
