No. The highroller coat is the explorer coat. They just changed the name of the coat and forgot to change it in what the npcs like. Devs have already said the explorer coat and highroller are the same thing.

I just got two diamonds in a row, and still no tart clothing. Arrgghh. Can someone duplicate the items and give them to me when they get them.

P.S. Maybe Lionhead can increase the chances of finding these items, and obtaining gifts in the next patch. Just a thought seeing how hard it is to find these items. I

of course you'll get copies, just follow my instructions here: http://community.lionhead.com/forums/3233241/ShowThread.aspx#3233241

and a fix in the patch would be nice, but the patch comes out mid-december. i doubt most of us will still be playing then. the patch will be nice for when we come back to fable 2 whenever the dlc is released.

Re: The explorer coat, bandit boots and gloves, and tart items

So I ask again.  Are the people who claim to have found the Explorer's coat full of crap?  Is it even available in the game without winning it in the Pub Games?
"What? I've never even met this woman. . .Who is she?

Yes. You can't find it in game and you have to get it through the pub games.

They should not increase the chances of getting items in the patch.  Making them rare is so people have a goal to get something and it isn't their for them to get easily.

I think it should be fixed. It's ridiculous that you have to go through thousands of dead bodies to get a pair of boots/gloves. Especially when there's so little clothing variety in the first place. At the very least, a 5 star economy Bloodstone should sell these items.

Re: The explorer coat, bandit boots and gloves, and tart items

I'm assuming that when the DLC comes out these items will be easyer to get either through the game (Hopefully) or in my case I will acually be able to take advantage of the online Co-oP and trade with others, the online communty will also become larger do to the patch release allowing otheres with the same problem as mine to join their fellow Fable fans online.

I just hope that the two gamers that were duping them will still be available by then.

Re: The explorer coat, bandit boots and gloves, and tart items

I'm trying to get the Bandit Boots and Gloves.  I can't get them from Tallgeese because I don't have Gold.  Unless someone is willing to give me their 2-day Gold card if they already have Gold, I'm trying to get them on my own by slaughtering Bloodstone and Westcliff over and over.
    ...It isn't really working.

So if someone already had a Gold membership when they bought Fable 2 and has a spare 2-day Gold card, could I please have the code?  It would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I have been playing a lot looking for these items. I would love the bandit gloves, and boots if at all possible.

I'm still unable to find your book.
I've checked all seven of my heros from top to bottom
and I'm going to keep looking.

I believe I have found that book before but I think it only appears in the game if you give make bowerstone old town decrepit during childhood, because I have read it too i think and I sort of remember it being about the nicky the nick name and his impact on old town. I don't have it anymore, must have NPC'd it.

You are 100% correct. The search for the three items is over. I placed the details in the 21st post on the first page of THIS thread.

I just don't understand why you need the Highroller's Coat, and then equip the Explorer's outfit to wear the Explorer's coat.  This means the Highroller and Explorer coats are the same thing.
I'm pretty sure one of them has sleeves and the other doesn't, and that's the only difference.

I've recieved literally (SERIOUSLY) hundreds of gifts both from wife and non-wife thug NPCs but no bandit boots or gloves... i'm losing heart, probability adds up that i should at least have four, i've gotten at least over 150 gifts from my wife- she's really happy in the serenity farm, the furniture is G o o d [Good] and i sleep 7 days and get a gift, repeated. i've only ever gotten potions and furniture. HELP! i really need these boots.

DO NOT marry a thug or a whore because that will basically nullify your chances of getting the Bandit and Tart Gloves and boots. At least don't even bother checking on your spouse because all happy spouses give completely different gifts than thethugs and whores who aren't married to you.
