I've got a glitch here which has basically made my game forfeit. Which makes me sad. I'll run through things that might be relevent. 1) Played for a while, no problems - Imported Pubgame stuff 2) Joined a Coop game, lost all my XP and Gold 3) Continued in my original game, got back to the level I was killing bandits and hobbes and the like 4) Played happily until now ... I visited a pubgame merchant guy, played a game of cards, banked out. And now the game is attempting to give me unlimited Plaits Hairstyle cards. I press 'take', and another one pops up on the screen. I turned the game off, turned it back on again - and it's still trying to give me the cards. Sigh Looks like I'll have to start all - over again I guess...

i have the exact same bug, but i didn't bother to gamble till at least another 6 hours into the game, : (

I bought a marital home ands moved in, then bought a nicer place and changed it to my marital home. Now I cant rent out or sell my first home, which is really annoying. It just says Set Budget and Enter Redecoration Mode. It's really annoying me because now I've just seen another house I want, but I dont want to have two empty houses sat there doing nothing.

I did this quest and Jack was there. I don't know what happens for you... The only problem I had after this quest is that the game freezes

Seems that saving while in battle (atleast for me) will result in, after reloading to that particular save, make you frozen in what ever position you were last in, and you just glide around. Please Lionhead, i dont want to start a new game. Fix this.

4) SAVING - Most RPG games out there allow you to create multiple saves. Am I missing somethnig here, or does Fable 2 not allow multiple saves? What if I'm not sure about a particular decision I'm about to make, and want to save right before I choose?
What if I'm not sure how much profit a store/home is going to make for me, and I want to save before purchasing? What if I receive a horrible scar in combat, etc, etc.?
Dev team, if it's possible, please allow us to create multiple/custom named saves.


Number 4 is not a bug. This was intentionally put in here so that if you made a wrong decision, you had to stick with it.

So, if the game messes up and crashes during the save - like it has done to soooooo many people (including me), making them lose many many hours worth of playing time as they can't load that game save up due to bug issues, you just have to stick with it?

If they perfected the game save bug issues BEFORE releasing the game, then I can understand why they don't have multiple game saves. But as they didn't fix them, even though apparently they had 'bug fixing' weeks (yeh right developer diary - whatever) they either didn't fix all the bugs to rush it for release date or just did it for the cameras.

This game is awesome, just the bugs really let it down, as now I can't play as my hero due to the game save not being playable. Resetting the cache doesn't help.

I have a bad graphical glitch (though right now I'm uncertain whether or not it's the game or my 360 Elite).
When I'm playing I have lots of flat hexagonal shapes flashing on the ground, walls, rocks etc. They flash black/white/blue. It's pretty bad when you have a long view of the enviromant. But when inside a building no problem. I have a vid of the glitch (not quality though) - View My Video but it does show it. I don't have this problem on my 2 yr old Premium, just my 9 month old Elite. And I've tried other games on my Elite and they're fine (GTAIV for example). Any idea what's up? Is it my 360 going senile or a bug in the game?

In my inventory, it shows that the Clothing section has a new peice of clothing in it. Ya know, the exclamation point next to the word. Well, I have checked every peice of clothing and that exclamation point will not go away. I have made a new character and every single character has this bug that I have played on my xbox. It is a very little bug but it is annoying because I never know when I actually have new clothes or not.

Also during co-op my henchman froze up. I could not move or anything. I could use the teleport button to move to the hosts hero. Only quitting the game fixed this.

1. in the treasure island of doom quest, game will not load up lion head island it is just stuck on the loading screen for ever.

2. various invisible walls, mainly in oakwood, or is it oakvale?

Last night I experienced a game ending bug whereby I go into the room with the hero in question, I am then told I don't have enough renown to attempt the quest once out of that room the door locks behind me and I cannot draw weapons / interact with anything in that town. when leaving the area on foot however i can use weapons again and everything works once again. when re entering the town the same thing happens once again, and going anywhere near the house where the Hero is I receive a "skip conversation" option however even when attempting to skip this it makes no difference as I am 40 + hours into the game this is a real serious issue as it prevents the continuation of the game. I can only hope that a patch is released shortly to fix this issue. up to now i have loved every second of the game, i beg that a patch be released so i can continue to enjoy the experience. Possibly Worth a note that I have a UK version of the game also. I hope LH moniters this thread as it would be nice to get some feedback back as to the status of the patch. Thanks in advance

I purchased Fiction Burns bookstore in Bowerstone, now I am no longer able to purchase books. The shop keeper is gone, absent, disappeared, missing, or on vacation. I don't know, they're just not there anymore. I've left and comeback. Went on to do the Spire and came back after 10 game years, still no one working the store. I can't buy books anymore.

I fell through the ground in the crucible and cant access my pause menu... cant do anything... except emotes

Just thought I'd stress that, in my experience, the downloadable content IS NOT the culprit of these glitches. I purchased the standard edition of Fable II and have never used my Xbox 360 online. I'm encountering the same frequently freezing/crashing issues that many others are, but the co-op patch is definitely not the problem! The game has frozen, in different areas and in different situations, at least ten times since I received it... two days ago.

Specifics: I was chopping wood shortly after locating the first legendary hero (Hammer) and my game froze. Since that point, I have been unable to load that particular game save, meaning that all of my progress was lost. I am able to start a new game and, so far, I have been able to access that saved file (so at least my Xbox hasn't been bricked by Fable II, like some claim).

Any time I try to open my original game save file, though, the game turns black during the load screen and my Xbox freezes up. Again, I never downloaded any patches, so the problem is inherent in the original game programming, not the online co-op patch.

I've requested a replacement from Amazon.com, so we'll see if I have any more luck with a second disc.

I had the bug, where my first child wasn´t able to move or react to me anymore.
After I progressed in the storyline my child seemed to work again(followed me, talked to me), but now it doesn´t react to my expressions anymore nor does it come with me, when i am asking for it. >___>

Well I can successfully say that I was able to make it through the whole main mission and the greater majority of the side missions, on a second character however. Much to my amazement I got through the whole thing and only had one minor glitch.

When I first tried to redecorate my house it wouldn't let me swap my furniture, and the message to swap the furniture piece stayed on top of the screen. I was still able to do all my functions, A, melee, shoot, and will....then finally I managed to redecorate my house (third try) and it worked and the message at the top of the screen went away aswell.

On the rescue your child from the hobbes quest i didn't experience any of the glitches that were stated by other members. However (I was technically forewarned) I was expecting my wife to follow so I made sure to tell her to stay, LOL

Not that this is a glitch, but I MISS MA DOG

POSSIBLE SPOILER an answer to danteusx he is by tthe cave u kill captain dread in and another glitch to add, sometimes a collar disapears of the dog and u can see right through where the collar should be

The most annoying thing I encountered were bugs concerning my family.  Until I lugged my Xbox into my bedroom to hook it up to Live and DL the patch, every wife I had would spontaneously divorce me, regardless of happy status.  Then when she would leave the zone, it would say she died.  Aside from that I had constant problems with wife vanishing and frozen children.  I havent had any more problems since patching, I hope it holds.

GLITCH:   CAN'T SELL/RENT MY HOUSE

 

i have moved to a new house with my wife, and i want to sell my previous marital house, but i can't, i says "redecorate or payment for my wife"

but i moved with my wife!!!!!!!!!!  i just want to sell/rent my previous marital house!

Ye got the same problem don't know what to do but it sucks so much, The house is useless to me now.

Does anybody have a dog with a split-personality? Sometimes my dog will go from to back to again (and I am 100% ). Not sure what triggers it. Only happens sometimes...

You can't sell stores.

I just ran into my first game bug. Today, before heading to the spire i was doing random side quests and was heading to out to do one of my jobs the bounty hunter. the quest required me to kill some beetles in a house in Oakfield. so i set it to primary quest and the golden trail disappeared. not thinking anything about it i just went to oakfield. still no trail. so i saved and restarted my xbox. still didnt fix it. so i ran around oakfield looking for this house when i finally found it.

thats when the real probs began. the ppl in the house were invisible but i could see the hearts over their heads. the bugs were there but the amount i needed to kill them were not. now its stuck on this quest regardless of what i do and i cant even progress the game forward to the spire or do anything else. i cant interact with people i cant even open chests or take any jobs. game is fucked basically and i've accured over 100k in gold and i dont want to restart the game as i've been playing it for around 10hrs.

overall the game has alot of bugs in it and i really expect some kind of patch soon.

*Sigh* I spoke too the demon door in wraith marsh or whatever it's called I had about 10 people with me to see if he would open up but as I walked away my character stopped and I couldn't do anything at all even jump to another region as it said I was still in a scene and now i'm stuck like that... I had sooo much money though
