So, after over 40 hours into the game doing everything there is to do and leaving no stone unturned (I had over 40 gargoyles and 34 silver keys) I decided to play with my girlfriend in coop. We started up a game for her so she could find out how the game begins and we played for some hours. Then I wanted to show her my house and how really cool I was with my incredibly expensive clothes. So, imagine my surprise when I find out that I lost all of my experience and gold (I had well over a million gold before and now I have 233 gold) Is there anyway to get my character back to the way he was or do I have to throw the game away and sell it?
On a seperate note, when I was doing the crucible, I went to the guy selling the potions and bought all of the xp inducing potions and when i drank them, instead of getting 1200 xp in the respective categories, I got 12,000 and a couple of them I got well over 100,000 xp. by the end of it I had almost 750,000 xp in all of the categories and was able to purchase almost all of the abillities. Unfortunately this was before I played coop and so I lost all of those abillities.

There are quite a few houses with "permanent" furniture that are causing issues for me as well. Sometimes one piece remains a fixture in a home and won't swap no matter what you try.
The issues with deed placement are not a bug, but due to the placement of some deeds, redecorating, renting buying gets frustrating when you have to run up the railing, rather than the steps and balance where yourself the deed is.

Juliet_Tango: dttuner:1) Furniture Bug - Purchased a home, and went into "interior decorating" mode (or whatever its called). Went inside and just pointed at a few things, and clicked A to see what would happen. Decided not to change anything, and left the house. Since then, I've had the message at the top of the screen "Take this item to the furniture store,..etc.etc." Even after exiting, and reloading my game!
AH HA! I just bought my first marital house yesterday and had the same problem! While not game-ending it is pretty annoying to constantly have that up there. Is there anyway to fix this? Please Lionhead, please give some feedback here! Aside from that one thing, I've had a great time playing the game so far ![Smily [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif) (forgot to mention for the sake of bug testing: I went through the same process as dttuner.)
I have had a bigger problem than that. My furniture stores dont sell furniture. The one in bloodstone is always out of stock and the bowerstone one only sells the book "pretty on the inside"

Feorin1:1) Bug Resurrection Phials can prevent scaring but there is no way to remove scars after the fact. Scarring as a result of KO is not mentioned at all in the tutorial areas, yet it has the potential to completely ruin a character for ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) . This one is a game stopper for me. I refuse to play until fixed.
Dude, you just suck then. I have 3 heroes and none of them have acquired even 1 scar. I haven't even used a res-fial yet. Not like I don't have about a million of them. And Scarring is described in the manual. Perhaps you should read it.

dttuner:"The OP needs to edit the original post and post real, game breaking bugs.
People need to stop spamming this thread with non-game breaking bugs.
I have some serious bugs than prevent me from completing quests. If
the devs miss it due to all you guys complaining about getting the
cliff diving achievment for only diving off a 5 foot cliff or not being
able to see your dog's collar, I'm going to be pissed." Tough guy... those are called "GLITCHES." Thanks for shopping. And sorry... but there's no way in hell I'm going to Sum-up 11+ pages of posts. If Lionhead cares about the people who have purchased Fable2, they will monitor this thread, and dissect each and every complaint. It's THEIR job to organize their bug fixing efforts. This forum is simply a place to report in our issues, not do their job for them. I've personally managed read through all 11 pages of posts... I'm sure a team of developers should have no trouble doing the same.
NO! It is Lionheads software team's job to meet corporate deadlines. If there is time to fix a problem, they will look to the most devastatingly game-breaking bug first. And there's a HUGE difference between reading through 11 pages of posts and reading through 2 million lines of code and assets.

Well after running into a half dozen bugs, both major and minor on my first two attempts at a run through (not forgetting the awful menu lag and my issues with the LE game) I thought I'd give it another last go with a new character.
And ran straight into another game ender at Thags Cabin. The cut scene where he comes out of the cabin didn't go off properly - my dog makes the whine noise like he's been kicked when Thag's meant to come out of his cabin - only trouble is he never did, the door remains closed and I'm stuck in an endless view of his closed cabin door. I can only guess this happened as when I killed the last of his thugs I was outside the glowing circle.
Now quite honestly I don't care whether this next comment is seen as constructive or not.
I've been a gamer for 30 years there or thereabouts, and never have I had so many problems and bugs with a game on any platform. It's shameful considering it's a console only release, partly as that really gets rid of the bulk of the excuse of designing for multi-platform and the issues of differing hardware, and partly as so many people don't have their consoles attached to the internet and won't be able to patch the game when it comes out even if the patch addresses all the issues.
That leaves me to draw one of three conclusions - either the game wasn't adequately tested, or the myriad bugs were known about but the game was released anyway, or a mix of the two. I suspect the latter to be true. Will I be purchasing another Lionhead product again? Not a chance.

I Agree, have been a gamer for 20 years and NEVER come across so many issues in one game. I have gone from telling everyone to get Fable 2 (because the first one was great), to telling everyone NOT to get Fable 2 (until i tell them the HUNDREDS of problems are fixed). NO-ONE SHOULD HAVE TO PLAY THIS GAME WITH 50 PAGES OF NOTES ON HOW TO GET AROUND GLITCHES, FREEZE UPS, POTENTIAL PROBLEM AREAS ETC. Im not sure a patch will do it, we must remain vocal about this - it was only through collective dis-satisfaction that microsoft relented on fixing all RROD consoles for free. A STRONG, NUMEROUS DEMAND FOR A RECALL OF THIS 'BETA' VERSION OF FABLE 2 SHOULD NOT BE DISMISSED.
VERY, VERY DISAPPOINTED FORMER MASSIVE FABLE FAN.

Hi, I have found 4 bugs that you may know about or not but here they are:-
1. After you get married, and move into your first house, you find that when you move into another, you cant sell the first.
2. When you have kids, then move house, they become un-responsive, they never move and never talk, sort of like a vegitable, this happened after the tattered spire quest, when he/she has aged.
3. The Furniture Store in Bowerstone Market district, never gets any new stock "ever".
4. Sometimes, there are villagers walking around with a Chair attatched to there torso diagnaly "Strange".
Fable 2 is probably the worst game for bugs I have ever played, you would think a "quote", quality franchise like Fable would have minor bugs rather than major, I agree with Citizen_known_as_nobhead. Lionhead need to pull out there finger, and need to bring out a MAJOR UPDATE a.s.a.p.
Thanks. Ste ![Angry [:@]](/emoticons/emotion-12.gif) ![Angry [:@]](/emoticons/emotion-12.gif) ![Angry [:@]](/emoticons/emotion-12.gif) ![Angry [:@]](/emoticons/emotion-12.gif)

I am on my second play of this game and so far have encountered the same game ending bug twice.
1. I lost all my experience, abilities ect. when playing with my character and my wife's character on co-op. This co-op was on the same xbox not over live.
2. I have gotten the plaited hair game ending glitch not once but TWICE. With two different Game Merchants. The one in bowerstone and the one in oakvale. I was able to try this twice with the same hero. I backed up my character several hours before beating the game on my memory card. Having learned my lesson from the above fail. In both cases the Plaited hair card repeated as a reward over and over again. (for an example of this look it up on youtube)
Does anyone know a way around this game ending bug
I am trying to get all the achievements and it seems that I may not be able to due to the ridiculous amounts of glitches this game has. I honestly felt that fable2 could have been up there with games like Oblivian (which had a few glitches itself) but without badly needed patches it seems like my first character is dead to me. Had I initially went after the pub achievement I would never have been able to beat the game with my first hero.
All I am saying is if you expect us to shell out money on an expansion fix the problems you have. Because free DLC wont cut it. How can LH expect us to add a potentially bug infested expansion to an already unfinishable game (depending on which game ending bugs you manage to avoid)
Hopefully we are heard
But the Spire is Mine, Begone!

I have an interesting bug that invloves my character drawing his sword after every loading screen, no matter what. If I have just come up from a diving spot entrance for example, he will still draw, just put it away when i start swimming and whack it back out again when i climb onto land. I've saved and turned off my xbox since I got the bug but it didn't make a diference.
It doesn't annoy me, but i thought i may as well add it to the bug list.

I know that most of the bugs on here have not been documented well enough for any programmer to debug. Most often, the child writing the post does not describe the exact circumstances that led up to the bug.
Well, here's a bug that is simple to fix, easy for you to reproduce, and would have a huge impact on those of us who have suffered from it:
http://community.lionhead.com/forums/thread/3243462.aspx
Thank you.

I'm very sorry if this has already been mentioned but I didn't see it
in my browsing. I defeated Lucien and chose the family ending, but when
I traveled to Serenity farm my wife, Lady Grey, was missing and the
golden trail (which leads me straight to the demon door) dissapears
when I arrive. Missing spouses have been a major problem for many
people and because of this I cannot complete the retribution quest.
I've tried a few workarounds such as marrying someone else. Now my wife
has a gift for me, probably a blackmail letter, but she still is not
where the game says she is. Please help me, I miss my dearest wifey.

I've had the written information on quests and interactions with NPCs stay on-screen for minutes, sometimes hours, at a time after I've left the area or abandoned the quest to go do other exploring or quests.
Example: The quest to kill the creatures in the cellars of Bowerstone. I've killed all but three of them, and on my way through town recently I ran back into one of the cellars I'd been in already, and on the bottom right side of my screen the message "Creatures remaining: 3" appeared. And it's been there the last three hours I've played the game. I'm thankful it's not pasted at the top of my screen in a dark grey bar, like when you interact with an NPC or get/complete a quest (though I've had those stuck on-screen for hours, too! In fact, it's one of the bugs mentioned in the very first post in this thread), but it's annoying that the game glitches this way at all. The User Interface should be the least glitchy part, don't you think?
In the future, I'd rather wait an extra month or three for a more glitch-free game. Thanks for the thread to rant in, and hope an update will fix this, and other bugs players have found.

Same problem here, also encountered twice. I managed somehow to restore my character the first time by clearing my Xbox's cache, but the second time it didn't work.
