So having two characters that I cannot play now because of quest issues (stuck child/stuck Vincent) I decided to make a 3rd character. After playing thru the start of the game I went to the Chamber of Heroes and made my way in from the island (door) side. On the way in I came to a bridge and saw what appeared to be a Dive spot. I jumped into the water and found the water shallow and even though there was a "Dive" ripple, there was no Dive Spot. I then saw another one to the other side of the bridge and proceeded under the bridge to that spot which was identical (not a Dive Spot) to the first. While standing on the ripple I began to raise into the air slightly and realized that my dog had swam under me and lifted me up. I am now stuck on my dog in the water and am unable to move. If I try to travel via the map it tells me I need to find a way out of the cave first. Niiiiice. Guess that makes 3 FUBAR characters now.
I hope there's a patch before Knothole comes out because these bugs need fixed FIRST!

I'm running the game in 1080i on a mitsubishi 55 inch and the text at the top of the screen gets cut off and you can only see the lower half of it. If I drop it down into 480i I can see everything perfect but the game doesn't look very . I hope a patch comes out to drop the header text a couple inches or less.

Okay, I've gotten over the fact that my children are periodically zombies, that as a woman I still manage to impregnate wives when in co-op, and the dozens of times I've had to redo quests because they are glitched until I play them about the 12th time through (the howling hall and pirate quests were the worst). 

My biggest complaint is the problem with moving families (assuming my wife doesn't glitch - won't follow or respond and only gets continually unhappy that I can't interact with her...I've had 2 like that when I wanted only one wife in the game, thanks).  I've got 2 houses in Bowerstone Market, Fairfax Castle,Reaver's Mansion, and Gile's Farm all in the same scenario as everyone else.  I upgrade my wife to new house but when I want to rent it out, sell it, or put in a new wife in, it's only got the option to "set budget" (even though  there's no-one living there). 

Lionhead can you please fix this?  Seriously, 2.5 million in property doesn't do me any if I can't sell, rent, or live in it!

Got another one to add, not sure if its been mentioned already, as im not going to read 51 pages of forum posts,

I went to Oakfield for the second time, and as I went past the sculptor, it asked if i wanted to pose, and brought up the 'Hold down A' icon, but if I held down A, the dial went round, but nothing happened at the top. But I also couldnt cancel it, so the text stayed at the top of the screen, and even though I left the sculptors house, I couldnt draw any weapons, or press A elsewhere to open gates, treasure, etc. I also am moving at about 1/4 of proper speed, and cannot run.

I left Oakfield, and everything returned to normal elsewhere, but when I go back, the text is now gone from the top of the screen, but i still walk really slowly, and cannot draw any weapons, do magic or run. Hopefully the fix for this is in the patch, because Oakfield is essentially unusable.

Can't interact with anything in bloodstone, execpt for the bard, and doing expressions. I have 3 people who i think want to kill me because they are always highlighted in red, but they don't kill me. Hopefully the patch will sort it out

Every time I start the game since i got the new xbox dashboard experience thing the game freezes every two minutes. I cant even play it anymore.

Could anyone please help me?

No disrespect (Because I understand you love this game) But most people will end up playing it 2-3....Probably because the glitches that FORCE you to start all over. 

Am I right or wrong, this is NO TIME to be praising "Lionhead".  This is a time to feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have internet live and bought this game with their  hard earned cash (Because they're SCREWED...Anally). There's no rescue for them, no fix what so ever.

This STD grab bag game came out in October people and it is NOW a f**king new year!! It's 2009 and still NO fix to a problems that came with the game on day one.  Glitch after glitch after F**KING GLITCH and no solution.  These pricks couldn't even make an attempt to fix these issues before the year ended. 

This is obviously a sign telling us to NEVER buy "Lionhead" products anymore.  But you know what really gets me fired up...do you reallllllllly wanna know.  It's the fact that these people have the freakin NERVE to ask for money for this new "Downloadable Content" they're coming out with (That Knothole expansion).  This game has at least 10 MAJOR problems with it that causes people (Including myself) to stop playing it, and you people have the nerve to ask me to pay?!?!?  You should be giving that DLC away for FREE!! Just to make up for all (And I mean MANY) the mistakes your company has made.

 

 

Come on Lionhead, we are all waiting to hear what you have to say for yourself. Say SOMETHING! ... say something.

My game’s hung up in a loop and here are the details.

• Happened after being able to access bloodstone but before finishing the hero of skill storyline.
• In Brightwood there is a traveling Spinnerbox Game Master – the one with four spinners and coin options for extra spins.
• It had the text _Don’t Show_ or _Do Not Show_ on the left of the screen underneath the bet.
• After I cashed out and left it autosaved, and then caught me in an infinite loop
• It kept giving me the Plaits Hairstyle Card, and every time I chose the option to “take”, it gave me the card again. No other options were possible other than “info”.
• I had to restart, and when I reloaded the game – since it autosaved at that point before giving the hairstyle card – the loop reoccurs.
• I also recently got a 120 GB Hard drive, and loaded the entire game onto it if that makes any difference.

I hope this bug could be investigated and patched. Otherwise several hours were wasted on an otherwise fun game.

This could have been avoided through a multiple save function. Although the logic of removing multiple saves is sound, unless the game is 100% bug free (what game is), there should always be options to load to previous saves when bugs have the potential of interferring with normal gameplay and the overall experience.

If it hasn't been added yet, here's another glitch to add.

Nightmare Hollow glitch.

Upon defeating all the enemies required to 'Search' Chesty the Writing Chest, one cannot search it, because there is one (maybe two if you're unlucky) enemy remaining. However, this enemy is nowhere to be found, and is unstrikeable with spells. The enemy has fallen through the gameplan and cannot be killed, no matter how large the AOE for your spells are. Without the last kill(s), you cannot continue, nor escape, nor leave and continue the game... So you lose the game. A gamekiller glitch.

Saving inside results in the same glitch anyway, as the enemies aren't there. If you manage to read this before you do the Brightwood Tower bed thing, don't save inside. If this glitch occurs, you're screwed. SOL.

i have another reallly annoying glitch that keeps me from getting the last silver key and the diachi

in the room that u follow the orb across the puzzle after u use the emote (bloodlust roar or something) on the statue, i opened the door at the end first and then meleed the orb, causing the door to shut and lock, and now it wont open no matter what i do - ive tried buying the tower and everything and nothing seems to work, i really hope lionhead can fix this

also - there are some glitches with clothing that happens after u dye them, they become permenentely separated from all ur other clothes and its kinda annoying they stay like this even after uve dyed them and also on the subject of clothing - the (new clothing!) exclamation point stays on even though ive gone through all of my clothes and there is none that i havent seen

Well, I've quite enjoyed Fable II all the way up to (Spoilers BTW!):












Right after you've escaped Reaver's Mansion. I've killed the Great Shard, and I'm well aware that the old lady (something with a T anyway) is supposed to take you to Hero Hill. She won't take me there, no matter what I do. I've been sitting like this for ten minutes.

So finally, I decide to try another quest (tells me all progress on this one will be lost...blah blah blah...), so I do that, and it takes me to right before I entered his mansion for the final time (expected). So, I got off and do some quests, and then I go to save and quit, but both the Save options in the menu are grayed out, with the only selectable option being "Quit and Don't Save". Now, that's no , especially since it wouldn't save after any of those missions I'd already done. Am I screwed, or is there something else I can do?

I'm just wondering where we need to go to get an official response from Lionhead? I would think 51 (and counting) pages of forum posts about bug and glitch issues should warrant SOME kind of communication (i.e. sorry you're screwed, we're working on it, we couold care less, etc) from Lionhead.
Personally I'm not buying another thing from them (DLC or otherwise) until at least some of these issues are resolved.

Adding my name to the list of people unhappy and unable to play this game on my current save.

After returning from the 'save our child' quest (after that quest bugged out and a few hours of experimenting and reading forum posts to find a 'fix'). I returned to Fairfax Castle to see my wife but she's forever stuck in a wall. I can't interact with her at all, and the child just stands next to that wall. I've tried everything to get her out of there but nothing works.

I've decided to not play the game again until the patch. And if the patch doesn't fix my problem I'm going to sell the game. I've never been as disappointed in a glitchy product before.

I've had the issue with citizen love/hate bar stuck at the top a few times. I haven't yet come across a game-halting glitch that forces me to restart.

I have experienced another glitch. I was doing the quest The Ritual quest and I went to go speak to the Abbot, but I was also collecting silver keys so instead of finishing the conversation with him I went to go get a key. When I returned to talk to him he just stares at me. Now I know that I am not very far in the game. Usually I would just start over but I have put a lot of effort into this account. I am trying to get the completionist achievement. I would have used my first account but I chose The Needs of The Many and never got all of the emotions for the dog. I, with the help of a friend moved many items over to my second account also every region I went to I got all of the gargoyles and silver keys.

If anyone knows when they are going to make a patch for this part in the game could they please let me know.

I do want to say over all I liked the game. However, even though I didn't have any game ending hangs; I did run into enough annoying issues that I came here to post (I normally don't take the time) I didn't expect to see all this.....so I'll be quick. I'm sure my issues are somewhere in the 50+ pages here.

I had a couple issues where the characters traveling with me (main story) got stuck and I could not continue the quests because I couldn't get them freed. I had to leave and restart the quests. Annoying but not a deal breaker.

Even though the two issues above actually took more time to get back to where I was; the most annoying thing I encounterd was multiple issues of my own character getting stuck between objects and I cannot get out. I could spend many minutes trying to get out of a corner or out from between a chair and wall. Sometimes having to travel out of the region to get "free".  It usually doesn't take too long to travel back (although load times aren't great) to where I was. That said, it's almost unacceptable that it happens as much as it does. This is a $60 game it should perform that way.

Here's an interesting glitch...

I discovered this no more then 15 minutes ago. APPARENTLY, if you have the Archon's Dream item in your inventory BEFORE your sent to get it by Belle...the game registers that you already have it. Sooo...an invisible barrier blocks you from going down into the tomb and getting the Archon's Dream...AND Belle remains stuck outside the tomb...which makes it impossible to kill her OR give her the stone...due to the fact that the event occurs inside the tomb.

I had a friend trade me an Archon's Dream so my character would have one to make up for giving it up. However, I put the gem on my female character...because I haven't made the character. I just thought this glitch was interesting.

Nothing that makes me have to start my game over, but a little bit annoying that I can't complete this quest. Hopefully, the patch will help this...although I doubt it...due to the fact I think this is the first time the glitch has been recorded.

Same thing has happened to me. Although it did work for a while after I got the new dashboard, it's now began to freeze every 2 minutes (or instantly if I run, sleep or go into battle) and I have to restart my console. My disk isn't scratched or damaged at all, I've had this xbox for less than a month and all other games work fine.

I feel like Lionhead's got me hooked on coke and then removed my nose.

Yea my kid ran away to fight hobbes with a toy sword and toy gun i gave him.... but when i go to rescue him, my wife keeps following me and i cant get her to stop(the expressions menu wont appear) and the start menu wont appear either, it just says scene paused. Also i cant draw my weaponsto kill the hobbes and get the key from them to save my kid what do i do?

So far I've been fortunate in that most the glitches I've encountered have been fairly minor.  I did experience the following though - fortunately it didn't break my game, but it did make my heart skip a few beats.  Apologies if it's been mentioned before, but I did a quick forum search and couldn't find owt on it, so...

I was doing the mission to kill Dash in Rookridge.  I got there, and the fight started as normal.  I killed all of Dash's henchmen, and there was only Dash left.  The only problem was, he was completely unresponsive, on the upper floor, just outside the door to the 'balcony'.  I tried meleeing him, shooting him, using shock on him...nothing.  The quest was still listed as active, and I couldn't leave the building - the lower door was locked, and Dash was imovable blocking the upper exit.

So, I quit without saving, and reloaded my game.  My character popped on the screen, but there was nothing else loaded in.  My heart sank for a fair while (well, ok, probably about 10 seconds) when suddenly the exterior of the building popped in, there was a fanfare, and the quest dialogue box popped up telling me I had killed Dash, and to return to Barnum.  I did, got my reward and goggles...and everything has been fine since. * Touch wood*

However, I think this chap wasn't quite so lucky - what he experienced was obviously related to what happened to me, he just wasn't as fortunate in the outcome.

I'm doing the Oakfield Massacre quest and I talked to the guy at the Shadow Temple and he told me to go meet Wicked Wilbur in Oakfield, only problem is... Wilbur isn't there. He doesn't show up for me at all and I have no bread crumb and no counter for number of townspeople left.

I watched a video on YouTube to see where Wilbur is supposed to be but he never shows up for me in my game. Anyone else experience this?
