Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
Well on fable 3 i would like to have a comrad following me, i mean plus the dog, or any animal, actualy i would like to choose what animal i would pick: mini dragnos, cat, tiger, wolf, dog, bird... you know... I would like to not have to grow up muscles to have the ultimate power on melee atacks! It's something you need to consider, i mean not every swordsman it's a giant brainless steroid lover... You can be small AND ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) with sorwd... I would like to ride a Ship! Now THAT would BE COOL if you can take a ship and travel the seas! Some Parkour too you know? Mortal jumps and all that stuff, spin in the air! Ride a big Dragon and fly, ride horses and A TIGER!!! wooohooou! And have some armors plus the fable 2 outfit (the assassins coat it's really cool) but the armors will have no defense bonus, it's just sweet anyway... back in the part of a comrad, would be nice to have one, even if he(she) would be just a archer or an speller... The counter-atacks could be more intintive and easy on fable 2, that's why i want a better on fable 3! ol XDD well i think that's it, when a think of more cool stuff i will post again... Ah and put more monsters on fable 3! i mean real monsters! not beetles... =/... Bybye

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
Cole131:I really only see one way to go in Fable 3; Pirates.
The addition of ships that can be customised would be great, and would work alongside the customisable characters. The noteriety of pirates would tie in well with the reputation system of Fable 2.
Also by basing much of the action at sea the game could create the impression of a much larger game world, the sea wouldn't really have to be a modelled 'level' as much as a decent water texture with varying weather effects and so on. There could be different ports to stop off in different continents and it would make sense that you would only travel so far from your ship, thus adding a maximum level size naturally.
Skies of Arcadia would be a reference for this as it featured ship-to-ship battles as well as traditional combat. The ship in that game could be upgraded with better cannon's etc. but it was never visually represented which was dissappointing.
Another thing I'd like to see in Fable 3 is different facial pre-sets as I don't like being forced to have a character with a cheesy American action hero type face. You could at least pick your standard expression so you don't have to be grinning all the time.
I really hope they go in this direction. It does seem the logical progression from Fable 2 which did include lots of pirate style galleons, weapons, islands and characters.
Please do this Lionhead, I'll consider it a personal favour!
Yes, yes... YES!!! Pirates! NIce idea! i like it! costumizations ships: sweeeet! Travel in to the sea, and find enemy pirates to charge their ships! Steal everything! And you can pick up your on crew! You can chose wich one you like more, and and lots of pirate tales as quests! Soon i'm going to pick some more ideas...

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
Sladarius:Fable just feels too small. There isnt enough backstory in the game, there isnt enough connection to the characters or characterisation of the characters, too few sidequests, and even the side quests r boring, liked the necronomicon though, that was fun. I really cant stress how much i hate villagers, they r irritating, i want them to talk about worldy events, i dont want the world to revolve around me, i want to make a dent in an already present world. i would like characters in the side quests and story to stay! hell, everyone u save pisses off just adding to ur rep, thats kinda gay, i wanna see the people i save in town, maybe they can have some little in game scenes where they are seen defending u against villagers that wail on u, or something really awesome. if a fable 3 is made, maybe the game could also start you off as a kid, and u progress from kid to adult gradually and not instantaneously. Maybe they can build on the idea of cities a bit more. Give them some essence, make them huge, with quests throughout. Fables locations r tooooo linear,! Way too linear, i don’t know any history in the game. So far all i got from fable 2 was,,, was what? Nothing. I met a few people, tried to kill someone, and yeah.... he died anti climatic. And i didn’t really feel accomplished. Adventures are fun when ur experiencing new things, and exploring, and your choice’s impacts ARE ALL THE MORE EFFECTIVE if what they effect actually is something! And actually has some basis and importance...! e.g In a big grungy city, in a sector of it , are warring guilds, maybe 2 thieves guilds, and they both have their own histories, and the guild masters have their dark pasts, and you learn these and u get into the whole feel of it, maybe the guilds affect the people, and the people in that sector are all messed up, and maybe if u choose one guild – maybe that guild is less corrupt and wants to help the people in light of ur efforts in helping them, and maybe if u choose the other guild, the other guild will forever be in ur favour, maybe u get some money and honor among the cutthroats. Everything in the current fables just seem to spring up and end immediately, before anyone knows it even happens, including u.
I definitely agree with this kind of thinking... The thing is, you can make more than two choices AND i think the game could try to NOT TELL what choices are there, you should just guess what to do in the time of action... The game has no challenge... you should do a puzzle, i dont know, something like that. And like the guy said: You can do more dramacity on the game history, put some mistery, some more magic, dreams... let us feel the unknow, the possibilities... And LATER you can put the pieces on and makes us know how everything happened... that's how we roll XDD.

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
ReaperXsr89:A better combat system, not that it sucks it is just boring. I like the mortal combats and soul caliburs and all that only make that style mixed with prince of persia(without the running on walls) into a fable world. And when fighting the slightest mistep can cost you your life, like actually that consiquencial.
Easier to die. With the new combat system it takes tactics and skill to beat enemies. If yoru fighting a Troll you can be one hit killed if you make the wrong move. Roll Between his legs and he sees you squash. If you die youll be introduced to Avo or Skorm whom ever youve sworn your loyalties to, and they give you options for revival(if you didnt buy a potion). Options could include, giving up every last penny you have, sacraficing a child of yours, doing a damn near impossible revival quest etc. Also make revival potions extremely rare and expensive, like really expensive like a million gold a potion, that way you try not to die more.
More in depth consiquences for your actions, not so much apearence but actions and peoples reaction to them. In both Fable 1 and 2 you can kill someone and everyone forgets after doing a single deed. If you kill someone it should stick, and then you have to deal with that murder for the rest of the game. Guards will arrest you bring you to court or what not and if you break out of jail then your stuck evading gaurds for the rest of the game.
An appearance modifier. Like how you can get horns and haloes and ugly and looking. But I do not liek how easy it is to accomplish getting them. To get horns or Halos you should have to dedicate yourself to one of the temples and through doing quests for those temples then you get a look or look. Your attrictive appearance should depend on health, how much you fight, sleep deprivation, clothing. Like come one there are really rich peopel in real life that are gorgeous and overcharge peopel for everything. Get rid of the skill modifiers, I dont want to be a female character that looks like an ogre. If you want muscles add a gym go and work out, want height go and drink a hormone potion and eat some food. If you drink a bear your not going to get fat, unless you drink 20 beers every day for a coupel years. Same goes with any food. get rid of the apperence and morality modifiers on anythign consumable unless it is named to do so. Like a weight shrinking potion.
Change the whole leveling system. You have strength skill or will and you can max them, have no limit or liek gald make it 999,999,999,999 or something. But the more you use melee youll gain skill automatically by using it no need for picking and choosing. GENERAL experience you should be able to take to Hero trainers to learn new spells and skills or sell for gold, cloths, or even food. So if uopur constantly shooting peopel with no melee your accuracy will get better and your vision(being range) speed and damage(also depending ont he weapon). But using ranged all the time will make you week melee wise. I dont want to raise my skill and get taller, I just want to raise it and get better at it, same goes with melee and will.
TIME!!!! I want to start as a child and literally grow up. Add time to be more than just a number. Start as a kid dont age with story age with time, every 365 game days you get 1 year old. But in doing this make alot of quests, like thousands even, and alot of things to do. Pub games was cool but I dont want to have to load a whole new screen, oh and ADD POKER that you can play co op with a table of other players. Anyways back to growing up. Start as a child of about 10 and this is where you sell your soul to avo or skorm that way when you die you get to come back to life somehow. And as you get older only certain quests become available and monsters show up to fight. Be able to celebrate birthdays by slicing the heads of balvarines or gettign drunk with friends at the local Pub.
More character relationships. It is to easy to make friends in Fable. I knew my current wife all of 30 seconds before I asked her to merry me. SO GAY, make it so it takes a year or two before they start questioning you. Similar to sims only fable style with relationships, you got to keep them up adn they are hard to build. ALSO get rid of stalkers, only a few peopel will stalk you, try to paint your picture when you sleep and what not, but I dont liek the entire town trapping me int he corner so I either have to area transfer ro cut them down to get out.
PIRATE and PIRATE LIFE. I want to sails seas on my own designed boat, or even a YOT. Be able to find your NPC friends you made throught the years and hire them as your crew members and travel the seas hunting down pirates trade ships or the local gaurd. Other continents and porst to explore, and make the sea liek HUGE sobig that it will literally take hours in real life to sail across. AND I want Kraken to attack and natural disasters to try and survive. I WANT FUN!!
Clothing custumizations. Not just color the cloths, and peopel want armor well make it. Have more pecies to add on, like right hand, left hand, right arm, left arm, right shoulder, left shoulder, neck, chest, stomack, weighst, right thigh, left thigh, right shin, left shin, right foot, left foot, face, head, right ear, left ear, nose, right eye, left eye, back. ALL THAT. Be able to find all that in armor. clothign different, your going to buy a pair of shoes that match in real life you know, just find armor ALOT OF DIFFERENT APEARENCES, and if you want it add it to your right shoulder coat or shirt like an augument. Colors, rings, earing, necklasses. I want my guy to be 100% unique from the million people that bought the game. At the begginign of the game choose your parents ethnic background that way asians can ahve an asian looking character. I agree with some points: Better fighting.. where you can do mortal kills, especial kills, BUT doing it simple... Pirate Life! But let's forget the kraken idea... something more fun LIKE ONE PIECE! just to highlight: ONE PICE Well appearence... you could do quests to get horns, tails... i dunno helmets and for ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) appeareance quest to take halos. BUT you should can do both quest to get all outfit... AND the outfits could not just give a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) or ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) bonuses but actually fighting bonuses... I would like to take my Fire Halo with my d ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) black one horn to get more stronger and attack a drango and kill it with one blow! One piece!!! XDD

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
I agree with going back before the first fable. I think that you can't go any farther in time. It needs to have a BIG WORLD Like Assassins creed and Far Cry 2 with no loading screens. There should be Multiple Guilds not just one. A Longer Main Storyline would make it 10x better. Side Quest from other Guilds would extend gameplay, and maybe random ppl in a town or street or something would extend the game too. I wanna see things Grow and Evolve houses being built and children growing up. Not like Fable II were I invest then disappear for 10 years and come back and things just pop up. You should be able BUILD YOUR OWN HOUSE. CO-OP people when joining each others game should be able to move freely around your would, and be able to bring in THEIR OWN HERO to ur game or bring your to theirs. You should be able to have more than just 2 people in your world. I was thinking of having about 5-6 PLAYER CO-OP. There should be more More NEW Moster and Demons. Need to exband the verity of thing to kill in the game. Add in like DRAGONS, CYCLOPES, AND OGERS things like that bring back some of the things from Fable I. I think that when u get XP you just don't level up to a certain point but you can keep going. You can use your experience to level up your weapon make your weapon stronger, and if ur ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) it has a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) look to it if ur ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) it has an ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) look to it and each weapon is different. MULTIPLE WEAPONS all different kinds and they all look different. ALOT MORE SPELLS make there tons of them and cool looking when u use them. A LOT OF CLOTHES AND ARMOR, there needs to be tons of it and rare armor that is hard to get and is really strong. I have alot more ideas PM me if you have questions or share Ideas.

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
the side quests, so many of them were with some random people, i mean what famous hero or conquerer was running around doing quests and erands for just anyone? i think the quests and sidequests should be more involved with the towns and governments, and the forces in them. Like instead of saving some random villagers from bandits or helping anonymous bandits on the same exact kind of sidequest over and over, there should be like a guard guild with ranks and a lot of urban battles and bandit attacks on the city and protecting it, or ranks in some hidden bandit camp , and finally coming the known leader of that camp, if you want.
When it comes to landscape it should be more like ASSASSINS CREED! ( huge massive big cities, some but small land and paths inbetween, more human elements than monsters, instead of running around and exploring woods when youre outside it should be more like being on a battle ground and being in a huge battle, the real way soldiers gained fame
and a rep depending on what groups or forces you side yourself with and what you use to kill people and ur strengths like being known as a shaman or knight
some abilities, heavy weapons and armor, and spells should be exclusive to what specialties the player makes, better character customization, limited clothes and weapons to more magic or more melee prone players
i want to see someone who decides to be a mage actually have to huge magic instead of having to resort to the bow because spells take about 5 seconds to charge and have no range targetting system for spells and no charging so equal to ranged bower
some of these improvements would make it more like an online rpg, like the powers and armor being exclusive to a chosen class or ability tree, and being part of guilds and choosing sides, and customization, but if you think about it, the ultimate ever changing and updating world, can only exist in an online rpg.
also i know fable isnt gonna do it, but a game with everythign totally realistic. like a grand theft auto mid style. the buildings the people , everything. just the realistic design aspect tho

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
Well... Hi again... I'm going to show you more ideas that i was thinking... I've read many... really many sugestions... And i was thinking some more... And played an insane amount of xbox and pc games... watched many videos... OK let's get Started: In the storyline you need to put more main characters... and let's think out loud here: You can chose your own way right? So what about chose some (NOT ALL) main caracthers for the storyline? Here's my example: You are traveling on your ship and you need a navigator (that more up ahead will turn to a lieutenat) and you can chose many islands and towns to go for it... you can chose a girl a guy, a monster, a angel... whatever you get the point dont you? Let's keep going: I'm just saying IT WOULD BE AN AMZING IDEA to do combats with comrads helping you... i mean you can not control they... you only control yourself tapping "X" to cut enemies and "A" to do mortal jumps, and another button to finsihing stuning moves (not to surrealistics) AND your friends (NPC) would be fighting side by side with you (or at leat trying) i mean: in every quest you want! And you can chose them (An warrior, mage, archer... whatever)... The insteresting part is: They receive points to upgrade just like you... They get stronger automatically... you just add their points... And the npc's can have pet's (dragons, dog's, tigers, falcons, fairyes whatever...)you can chose their clothes and wepons... sa long i'ts their type of weapons... And if you don't want to fight? just send your comrads to do the dirty... simple... Or just protect some area, or person... Next: Custumization... House... Ship (if it's really going to be an pirate game).. hero, comrads... well By House i mean hideout... you find anywhere in the game that can be build an hideout (a cave, a large Tree... behind waterfall or simply in some island or town...) well you will start with a small hideout... and when you gain an certain amount of fame you can upgrade (but not a linear upgrade you can chose white castle, or d ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) cave for example or even the middle term) and for wich hideout you can (not an obligation) select a lieutenant to keep it with some subordinates (depending the size of the castle) and gain gold with it... ordering them to do ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) or ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) actions... And as long as it is a HIDEOUT you need to put some gold in to make it resistant with defenses and all that... Even monsters to gurad the place... The Ship it's almost the same thing... You start with nothing and go upgrading it... and you can keep it that way or buy another one better... and you can select a lieutenant to keep one ship and go surf the sea for something (i dont know tell them to explore some island and depending the island and the level of the crew you can lose some mans... the ship... or only the ship and they will be traped on the island sending you a botlle with a message to rescue them...)and you can have an limited number of ships.. 4 or 5... Many cutcenes! A bigger Storyline Multiple guilds... And by guilds i mean they all would have Strongholds that you will have to break down and take it... But The guild masters always will want their places back... or make stongholds in other locations (They go to villages and kill everyone beacause a choice you make) or you can do peacefull way, making deals with them... On some cases you can do the middle term... making a fear deal then they will do no harm... o make innocents suffer more than usual... Your crew will be direct influenceable by you... ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) or ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) ... or the mix of both... they acts too (if you tell them to retrive enemy information... they can kill someone or just go and ask...) Well since the crew will not be with you alway (just when storyline require, or you require) they will be hanging out and doing things that they want...remmeber if you ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) they will be kill people for fun (unless you tell them not to) Or they can be middle term do nasty things but never hurting someone...they can change they clothes by their selves too... and upgrade weapons alone... Beside the Guilds... There will be 2 forces... Goverment and The D ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) s.... (wich one is worst? you tell me)... Oh yeah and the idea i had this morning... chose where you want to wear the katana... (back, or the side...) That will be really cool.... and two blades! how about it? And you can wear the back like an X or on the sides... And a beatiful movements when you draw them... I liked Fable 2 a lot, but one thing i didnt... it was the counter-strike system... put some more amzing flying finshing moves AND: just block and push another button to make the counter-strike like "prince of persia", because the counter-strike of fable 2 wasnt perfect... Fable 2 was a really REALLY ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) game, you should save some aspects... OK that's it for now... Later i will put some more better ideas... See ya

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
- Fist Fighting needs to come back
-Boats, Pirates and multiple islands you can go to.
-The environment seemed too small. BIG BIG BIG. Big mountains, Big buildings, Big bosses and big towers. Look at Peter Jackson's work in lord of the rings and king kong. BIG!!!!!
- Knights, Rangers, Goblins and Orcs. Sorry I want them. I'm tired of hobbes. Goblins and orcs are too fun and too essential to get rid of.
- There's one army in fable 2. Why not 10 armies? One army of ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) hollomen. One army of ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) Bandits. One army of ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) knights. This would help the story out a lot. I always felt there was one controlling force I was battling and not many opposing dichotomies.
-Manipulation in groups. I want to be able to buy my bar and hire my own men. Rob places and get my own gang. I want to help my gang evolve. No armies, this isn’t command and conquer. Just gangs. This gang/community will evolve and go around the gameplay. Remember I screen who's in my group and where and how. Various characters should come from different places. The Designers should take special care on making your "gang/group" look different than the other skins (AI.)
-Destroy villages.
- Armor and better outfits. Peter you slacked in Fable 2 on this.
-More muscle definition in characters and more facial expressions. Look at 300. Not to big but yet the greek body look. Those guys looked like "heroes." Not the weird fable 2 guy.
-that's it.
"The attempt to impose upon man, a creature of growth and capable of sweetness, to ooze juicily at the last round the bearded lips of God, to attempt to impose, I say, laws and conditions appropriate to a mechanical creation, against this I raise my pen."

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
Make the game harder,
Like you can die and have to start the quest over...
Want to make the game longer?
Get rid off fast traveling
The game took me 3 days with a family and all the side things. Fallout 3 took me a week
Make the game Completely free roam
no loading into a new world, just a massive map to play in Rpg games are coming in mixing fps and all that, is nice!
Keep the graphic style because i like the sort of cartoon effects and bright lights other then that Fable probably got me into RPG's lol

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
Really ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) ...I would like to join the ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) side. Not just the bosses but the side IN GENERAL. It would be better that depending on your morality you would choose sides, instead of being ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) and the ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) people being your enemies. Nice ideas...check out my own...Thanks!

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
I don't think that you could just free roam in the whole world because it needs a certain amount of space to make the maps. What would really be ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) is if the loading was WAY FASTER, like 95% faster and that when it loaded you hgad to press the A botton.

i think fable3 should have hand to hand combat that is advanced and more combos for the melee wepons plus a wider range of guns and bows. i also like the idea of joining the bad guy it is one thing i have mentioned many times and at the end of fable2 i mist the chance to kill lucien as i listened to him in hope of joining him and reaver killed him. the ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) and ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) thing could be improved by have more choices and reactions like if you are ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) villagers do not run away but bow to you in fear. also i think you should be able to start a bandit gang and maybe even add piarites to fable and be a captain of a pirate ship. the ledgendary wepons culd be improved as well. open enviroments would be ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) and allow more roaming with dungens, forest and more towns and villages. finally i think customizable characters would be ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) and a wider range of clothing and tatoons and hair styles.

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
its like you have reached into my mind and spoken my thoughts!! everything and i mean everything you have said is what i want! i really wanted to join lucian and i too (the first tie) sat there listening to lucian pour his heart out but stupid reaver went and shot him...idiot i agree that some improvments can be done to the combat (mostly just cooler moves) however i wouldnt like it if it turned into the whole press A,B,X,X to do a super massive move because i love the one button combat. wider range of weapons and bows is a must for me....even if i didnt use hardley any id like to just have the choice and be able to collect them all it really annoys me when people run away from me when im ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) ...thats a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) idea to stop them...bowing...that could work but how about it depends on what sort of ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) person you are....if your ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) but a maniac that kills everything then they should run but if you are ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) yet dont kill as often then they have some respect and they bow to gain your favour? I would love to start a bandit gang...that would be awesom.....planning raids...gaining members...taking over places...would be awesom and also the pirate idea is awesom ive said this to others before id love to have my own ship!! I like the way your mind works!! well done!!

In fable 2 i really didnt feel like i owned the buildings. This is hard to explain why i do not know. The only other game i really felt like I really owned the buildings was in Blood moon. I really felt like i helped that small colony along. So just a felling that your making a diffrence more and of course ![E v i l <img src=]() " src="/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif"> furniture.
idk how to do the chain thread thing so i just copied and pasted. but ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) furiture like torturous items? like what we were put on in fable the lost chapters when we went to go get our mom? that would be cool. and i know about the not feeling like you owned the houses, the villagers constantly telling you to get out even though you owned the house. |

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
Wow, some really cool ideas being posted; I think the future of the gaming business hangs out at Lionhead.com ![Smily [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif) keep up the ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) work guys. here are some of my thoughts and ideas: - Progressive aging; The game flows steadily through a given period of the hero's life say from age 10 to age 70 with missions and quest tied to a general age range. Aging occurs when certain main story quests are completed. if some side quests were missed then the player can flip through their journal and 'warp back' however many years and explore and play the game as a sort of memory.
- vulnerable to being infected by Balverine bites and attacks. Hero will then turn into a Balverine at night or during full moons and if the condition is kept for a certain period of time it becomes permanent and if kept even longer then the player will be able to change at will as long as they change (and kill) at least once a week or something. Condition grants bonus to health, strength, speed and that neat ambush move they have.
- Heroes can make permanent friends (not just people romantically interested in them) and underlings and as such establish their own gangs or guilds depending on the hero's alignment (
or ). The player can then designate an owned property as the group's headquarters where they will meet, store weapons and loot, rest and even party. Players can then take their crew along on quests.
- Addition of Beasts of burden could open up mounts for the Hero, guards, etc. and actually see wagons travelling the roads as private and public transportation and merchants etc.
- Individuality through customization; players can make simple adjustments to their Hero so they can be more unique, especially in multiplayer situations. Adjustments could be made to: Skin tone, eye colour, physique type (eg. 4 variants on 3 base types). Base types would be Petite, Avreage, Giant. Variants would be Fat, Muscular, Avreage, Slender. For the Head/Face, there could be basic structure in 2 tiers: 1st is form- Long, Squat or Avreage. 2nd is shape- Square, Thin, Round, etc. Players can also adjust how they carry weapons like wearing a sword on the left or right hip, carrying a pistol tucked into front or back waist or in a holster etc.
- NPC Heroes. Other Heroes could be roaming the land doing quests and jobs like the player. Players can hire them to assist with a quest. or allow them to join in on a quest to help with their reputation or gain experience. Players can in turn join an NPC hero's quest to gain xp or if they ask for the player's help on a task they have taken but are not confident they can accomplish alone.
- Players can run their own businesses of all scales like delivery service for shops and merchants. carrying crates from point to point within a town to purchasing a wagon and horse and transporting large amounts of crates and boxes oof
s between towns. these could be time based sub games. The blacksmithing job from Fable 2 could have a bigger pay off like earning a special weapon after mastering the job or granting the ability or skill to add an augment slot to any weapon. Also as a one time permanent modification, add damage points to any weapon by working on it at the forge. - More weapon variety. short swords, Two Handed Swords, Daggers, Dual weild weapons and weapon sets like a Short Sword and Dagger, two short swords, Morning stars, Flails, Shields etc.
- Varied Melee Combat Styles: players can select a combat style path to specialize in or just purchase the combat skills they like but staying in one path increases the effectiveness of alll related skills. combat paths could be; Brutal- focused on hard hitting and quickly dispatching an opponent. Bonuses to strength and toughness. Finess- fancy footwork and weapon manuvering. focused on avoiding being hit and looking
killing people.Bonuses to speed and damage. etc. Each style will have say 6 skills in it's path and each skill unlocked by the player gives a bonuse to the next related skill unlocked so when the player unlocked the sixth skill in brutal Style, if he unlocked the previous 5 skills i nthe path each of them will contribute to it's successor and all others following granting a continuously larger bonus to all skills unlocked afterwards. (i think i complicated that more than I needed to) - Heores can learn exploration skills and abilities like climbing (trees, large rocks, rough walls etc.), jump through windows, jump up to ledges above hero's head via the same mechanic that runs the vault, dive and jump triggers.
I have a few more ideas but I guess I should save some for MY games lol. what do you guys think?
Make it ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) and they will play it.

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
I played the crap out of both games, read almost every book in the first game, played the lost chapters, and all the DLC for the second game. We already know now what the premise of Fable III is going to be: You are the child of your hero from Fable II "See The Future" and that your decisions will shape Albion far greater than any other Fable title. But one thing i would love to see is more plot fillers. What happened to the Guild? How did this technology of the spire just now comes out without any reference in the first game. I believe that this third game should act as a third instalment and as a Fable 1.5. Going back into time to find answers about the Heroes blood line. I loved the artistic direction in both games but what i was really looking for was some reminiscence of the first game. (e.g. "See the Future" you went to Oakvale before the ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) corrupted the land.) As far as gameplay, the magic needs to be tweaked to incorporate both fable I and fable II deployment of spells. I liked to beef out all aspects of my hero but i hate having to take time out of the fight in order to change up which spell i want to deploy. The first game had it almost right. If they took that and added the "Target vs. Radius" attack feature, they would have it down perfect. Finally asthetics: Fable II was a dissapointment as far as lack of great melee/range weapons and armor/clothing. In fable I, I found the bright plate armor and stuck with that because it made my hero look like a total badass. But in fable II with the lack of armor and barely any clothing. i'm forced to wear monk garbs. Even after taking skinny potions i felt my hero looked very bloated, and all the other armor including Hal's armor just looked stupid on my hero. Not too mention the fact that the weapons in the first game where well over the max damage of the best weapon in the second game. You would think with 500 years of new technology they would have something besides guns that do barely a 100 damage. Thats all from me.

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
To be honest, a lot of everyone's posts are a little far-fetched and kind of bizarre. The whole "Pirate" idea is great, but building your own ship and boat? let's try not and turn this into an entirely different game. Sure, we want to be able to do anything you want in Fable but it's still "Fable", not Pirates of the Caribbean (they have a game out for that).
Anywho, more on task, I agree with CainTheLongshot on filling in a few plot holes. Especially about what happened to the Guild. Citizens of Albion in Fable II didn't believe in 'magic' so there couldn't have been much left behind from the guild. I was curious why your Hero never adventured and/or discovered hardly anything that had to do with the Guild.
I also agree with the weapon and clothing selections. Legendary weapons were a great idea, but as soon as I got the Legendary Katana I had could care less for the other melee weapons (and it was a shame at how easy it was to obtian it). And the only ranged weapon I used was The Enforcer, simply because (in my mind) it was unbeatable.
So what I would like to see in Fable III is a little mroe information on what happened to the Guild, hopefully it would be a Main Quest since it should tie in with the rest of the Trilogy anyways. Also the clothing (or should I say Armour) from the first Fable should be given a second look when designing for the third. And last, the dog was great but I did not feel like it was a 'companion.' When the choice came to take my family and my dog away, my only concern for the dog was that I could not dig up the Enforcer. I didn't care that he wouldn't be venturing with me since he rarely did much but bark a *** ton and occasionly whined when he was injured. Other than that it played hardly any role in the story. So in Fable III, I think I could do without a Dog unless it was more connected with your Hero. If anything, a Dog. MAYBE a bird on your shoulder (for the pirate fanatics) but no other animal. If there was a cat I'd probably sacrifice it the first chance I got.
OH! And the Achievement List for Fable II was TOP-NOTCH in my book (other than those damn dolls). Very unique, funny and great! Hopefully Fable II will live up to them.
There's nothing in this world to believe in. ˙˙˙ʇǝlɹɐɔs ɟo sɹɐǝʇ pǝɥs llıʍ noʎ puɐ

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) pvp system some cinematics longer gameplay free roaming cameras in coop the ability to use your own hero in coop instead of a henchman and a better story with more heros. oh and make it not as easy to get fat and the ability to lose weight without having to eat a billion celerys. oh and dont make the dudes so blue when they are ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) at magic and dont make them fat when they are strong. also go back to the old mana system where you dont have to charge it.

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
and in the last game we were told that our actions affected the future. that was a lie. if you killed all of bowerstone then the next day nothing would have changed except for maybe something costs 10 gold more. no false promises.

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
My Fable 3 wishlist:
1 ) More time as a child: this is much of the charm of Fable. The innocense at the beginning of the game is a great contrast with all of the later "adult" activities.
2 ) More gradual leveling: I remember in Fable getting an axe or hammer that was too heavy for my scrawny character, and swinging it very slowly. I don’t ever remember being too weak in Fable 2.
3 ) Stiffer economy: Make it more difficult to get gold and give us more things to buy, that we’ll actually need on our quests.
4 ) Fishing: I want to be able to fish as a child, and later as king purchase the secluded cottage I grew up in as a place to get away from all of the politics and enjoy the simplicity of fishing.
5 ) Boasting: You can make the quests as difficult or as easy as you like, by having boasting at the beginning of each quest. This adds infinite replayability!
6 ) More polished co-op: Local and online co-op was a brilliant addition to Fable 2. Let us use our own character and if we have to share the same screen let the camera zoom way out in case we go different directions. Or let it be shared screen when we're close and splitscreen if we move too far apart.
7 ) Epic Boss Fights: I know this is very cliché for RPG's, but if it ain't broke don't fix it! Plus give us some real closure when we finish the main campaign with the option to continue playing.
8 ) Open world: no load screens (this is a minor annoyance more than anything)

Re: What would you like to see in Fable III?
well first off i love fable i loved fable and fable 2 but i feel like you guys dropped the ball on the multiplayer co-op aspect of the game nobody ever wants to be stuck on the same screen when your not in the same room i thought it would be awesome when i heard that you could play with a friend but it just sucked to all hell if you made the co-op more free roam for the players it would be a blast. you have to make it more like THE CRACK DOWN MULTI/CO-OP WHERE YOUR FRIEND COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THE GAME WORLD BUT STILL BE ABLE TO HELP YOU AND GO TO YOUR LOCATION i hate hate hate the stuck in the same screen crap
and please make it so you can use your own person i the other persons game thanks
