    Computer or Xbox 360

Hello! I don't understand why Lionhead want port Fable II on computers. I am sure that half of users Xbox 360 have modern computers but they bought Xbox, and a lot of them boght Xbox because Famle 2 released on it. And now Lionhead want to port this beautiful game on comps and we become losers? E v i l [Evil] Down [] Devious [:evious:]

    That smile...hmmmm...very slick. Something's up...

It just makes me wonder if some other company is porting this game to the PC so y'all can work on....well, whatever y'all plan to work on next...

If someone else is porting Fable 2 to the PC for you guys, I hope they do a G o o d [Good] job of porting it to the PC -- since I really enjoyed Fable: TLC on the PC and I definitely would like to see Fable 2 make it to the PC.

BTW Lionhead, y'all did a G o o d [Good] job porting Fable to the PC. Smily [:)]

Doesn't mean some other company is NOT working on Fable 2 PC, either.
I.e. Demiurge ported Mass Effect over to the PC on Bioware's behalf.

Lionhead didn't state if some other company's porting it over to the PC for them  now did they? Stick out tongue [:P]

Woody, if you guys don't start working on a port for Fable II, I will run to all of your houses, hide in your closets untill you go to sleep, then silently hack into your computers, and steal all of your information on Fable II, I will then proceed to use this data and work on a port myself, lol.

As for a PC port of Fable II, I think that would be cool. This game needs user created mods.

Yeah, but, Lionhead ported Fable:TLC to PC, so I'd assume Lionhead would port Fable 2 to PC.

It seems a bit early to talk about a port. It took F1 a few years to make its way to PC.

It seems inevitable, but like Woody said, there's no work being made on a port, nor is it in any of their future plans yet.

Yeah, it always seems like ports come very late after the games release. If we are going to get a port, it's going to be a while.

So you think Lionhead should not port Fable II on computers because you bought a Xbox360?
Yeah, that's definitively sounds fair for me too ... ohh wait it does not! ORLY [orly]

I'm sure it was just a joke or you are ruthless and selfish, but I don't think so!

But if you are not working on a PC version of Fable II why should "WhatIfGaming" write a news like this one with this words as a quote: "Fable II has been an enormous success on the Xbox 360. A Fable II for PC users would be likely imminent. Keep checking back with us for more updates." ?

Just a stupid mistake of a little website? Or maybe they just invented nonsense?

I don't have any answers for this questions, but I can say, that in September 2004 Microsoft said that Fable (I) will be a Xbox exclusive game, later you made a better version of the game for the pc.

Early 2006 Microsoft said that they will reinvent the pc as a gaming platform and now you want to say us that you don't work on a pc version.

I'm sorry, but being able to distinguish fact and opinion is rather important for making this sort of discussion.

Just because a website says that a PC version is likely doesn't mean that Lionhead is 100% absolutely working on it right this moment. Anybody on the forum can say "Yeah, Fable 2 on PC is inevitable." but the statement doesn't have any validity unless there's proof, which that website doesn't have.

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

I was thinking of getting Fable:TLC pc game; I know it will work with Windows XP but my question is this -- will it also work in Windows Vista? I build my own system and no longer have any computer under Windows Vista Ultimate, so, before I waste my money (or not) does ANYONE know if Fable:TLC will work in Vista or not?

Also, I think you SHOULD issue Fable 2 for pc - that would be cool!!!! Up [] I've been through the game at least 2 dozon times from start to finish on my Xbox and would LOVE to see in come out for the pc!!! And if ANYONE doesn't like that idea - than just don't buy it -- I would!!!! Stick out tongue [:P]

While I do think that there will be a PC version sometime in the future the Dev's have said many times that they are not working on one right now.
Don't believe anything until you hear it from LH.

The simple answer to your question is MONEY!!!!!!!

also there are many of gamers that feel that games on the PC are far better than console as for my self I own fable and fable tlc yet my reason for not buying Fable 2 on the 360 is I would rather spend  my money on upgrading my PC over buying the 360 and the 40inch or bigger HDTV needed to enjoy the 360 to its fullest now as for being a loser for having a game you enjoy being ported to the pc I would have to say if it makes you feel like a loser then well guess what...you are a loser and its not because a game you enjoy was ported to pc since anything they add to the pc port can now be easly downloaded from xbox live.

also the port to pc should not be to diffacult if they do decide to do it since 1.) the 360 is just to close to a pc for it to be to hard and also the fact that Lionhead is owned by Microsoft which primarely is a PC software maker .

No we cant. The first fable was released for pc and they arent saying "it will never happen" and the rumours will always be there then.

That is really the main reason I want to see it come to the PC.
When a game is on the PC it instantly become better then the console version because of the modding community.
Mods can add so much more to already great games and I look forward to seeing what people will do with Fable 2 when it comes to the PC.

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

    Hello Woody!

I have read interviews on several gaming sites with Lionhead about planning a PC release someday, but right now I'm really confused about what exactly is going on. Is there any way to get just a little bit more information on this? Is it possible that in the next 365 days there might be a release for PC? Or are there actually plans about this at all? I mean should we PC users keep waiting and expecting Fable II?

    Please do reply!
    Many thanks!

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

Again of course he cant announce anything on here. If it was announced it would be in a press release and chances are he would get in trouble for hinting at it if it exists or there is plans about it.

If there still isnt anything announced in a years time i would say stop expecting it.

By the way funny to see Eurogamer and Gamereactor link to this thread.

Well, I guess, we must wait than. But it really is such an amazing game, I hope to see it very much. But anyway I don't see how a hint could do any more damage than what the rumors and than their denial did on those gaming sites. Tongue Tied [:S] Never mind, if it comes out at all, it's worth the time waiting for it.

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

I wouldn't buy it for PC anyway. Upgrading my video card every 6-12 months is a major downfall to PC gaming, and it will ultimately be the demise of the platform itself. Just wait until devs start running the A.I. through the GPU instead of the normal processors. Cards will skyrocket in price (as if they aren't already), and will really only be available to those with money to burn.

I will settle for consoles, though I do enjoy keyboard/mouse for FPS......oh well.

    Re: Computer or Xbox 360

You dont need to upgrade your graphic card every 6 month ffs, i havent updated in 2 years and my pc is still stronger than the 360... I can play mass effect better looking and with no slowdowns. Point is you only need to upgrade if you want the absolute best all the time and if you can do with a console you surely dont want that.

Also why would they run the AI through the gpu ? Tongue Tied [:S]
