    Re: Run-by Giftings

I like to donate a million gold to people who're idle so when they get back they freak out.
I always check their details to make sure they're poor first too.
No fun in giving a rich sod a sack of gold...

Or I like gifting a million to people as they run by.
By the time they get the money they're half way across town and they start yelling
"Who the hell gave me a million gold?! O_o"

Lol.  I gifted a million and some legendary weapons to someone who had 0 stats.  Literally JUST started the game.  They were so happy.  Although, sometimes I wonder if I'm taking any joy away from the game.

But then I remember how much working (both in the virtual and real world) sucks..and how much better it is (in the virtual and real world) to receive millions of dollars. >.>

Someone gifted a "Eau de Hobbe" perfume yesterday while I was standing around in the Market. I thanked him/her heartily. Smily [:)]

I think my next gifting scheme will be the Compost Brown Dye. Read the description, and you'll understand why.  Stick out tongue [:P]

Lol that was what I done first thing when I built up enough cash was random gifts of 1 mil at a time to fresh starting players to make the game even easier than it already is... im sure if someone had gifted me that at the start I would have donated it straight to some npc or pther player to avoid the game being too easy.

Yeah, at the beginning of the game without any knowledge of gold exploits it can be pretty
boring banging an anvil in a fruitless attempt to save gold for an item...
Then you miss a swing and have to start all over...

This one time .......... at band camp ..........

I remember gifting loads of useless junk to these two guys who were trying to get into the Brightwood Demon Door.  They were conversing with one another and here I come..... after a few moments of gifting each of them a very useful Legendary Weapon (1 each) I commenced the hammering of absolutely worthless items.  After 5 minutes of handing them, I dunno, about 20 junks each they starting running away from me!!  LMAO  I chased them down and continued firing away Gravel Chocolate and Mood Rings until they finally fast-travelled outta there!!!

Just a thought - but in addition to aggressive random acts of kindness to strangers, why don't you torture each other by gifting some unique worthless item to each other? Sort of like old maid, pass the trash and/or zombie tag, you would sneak up to a familiar name from these boards and gift them the pie of human kindness (not sure if it is possible to get out of TOBY to keep this item). May be fun - may be stupid...

Sounds like fun to me! The pie wouldn't work. BUT... you get to keep the Mutton as a trophy. And you can gift trophies...  Surprise [:O]

I was just giving away random G o o d [Good] things and money to people in Town Square and then this annoying kid seriously started saying "someone give me money and I'll shut up, someone give me money and I'll shut up" over and over again for 5 minutes straight.... he got nasty nuts and an autograph card... then I went to Oakfield for some peace n quiet.   He probably cost some G o o d [Good] people the chance at nice items and money cuz I couldn't take it any longer and had to get outta there.

You should have given him ten gold and told him to STFU.Stick out tongue [:P]

Was lounging around in Oakfield yesterday just giving people stuff. I gave this one guy an autograph card and he was like "Wtf? Why did you give this to me?" Then I gave him a regal purple dye because he needed one.

Other then that, I've been passing out gold to people that have little to no money. I even gave out a set of Hero Dolls because I was feeling nice.Classic [:classic:]

I was standing there at the exact same time.  I did give him 10 gold and told him to shut up.

I left because of the annoyance and I was just handing out 1m gold randomly as well as Purple Dye, Puny Carrots, and other 5 star augments and 4 slot weapons

Some educational run-by gifting ideas: Give the gift of reading!

Stand behind the counter in the Bowerstone Furniture store and gift every orb that comes up a copy of "Pretty on the Inside" (those who experienced the furniture glitch before the patch can appreciate this).

Run around anywhere, giving out copies of "The Finger".  Everyone appreciates getting the finger..   Stick out tongue [:P]

Count me in! GT is meralonne.

I took a newly minted character into Bowerstone market last week and left him standing there for about 30 minutes. Apparently, someone was feeling generous, because when I checked back, he had about 962 million in gold. Talk about making things easy on a guy...

Lol.  I will take the suggestions here and start gifting out vulgar thrust, middle finger and pretty on the inside books to everyone.

I have fond memories of the Bowerstone Furniture Store glitch.  "Maybe there is furniture in there this time!"  ::enter store::  Inventory: Pretty on the Inside (1). *Siiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh*

I remember that too. I tried so many things to get furniture in there. I was so happy when the patch came out.

I've never had any random gifting done to me, but thats really cool that people do that. Maybe I'll give it a try. I had Kit gift stuff to me one night, but that was just in helping him transfer from one character to another, that was my first "gifting" experience. I hadn't played it much yet at that time so I had no idea how to gift to people, I'm just glad I was able to gift it back and not mess it up. So I think maybe next time I play I'll hang out some where and start gifting. Or like someone said in an earlier one, I'll hide behind a tree and chase people down! Smily [:)] this will be fun!!!

I've been handing out a lot of gold lately. Been giving it to the people that really need it.

I've handed out sets of Hero Dolls and some High Roller Coats too. Gave another person some Regal Purple dye though they didn't realize I did since they continued asking for one. XD

Given people rings, perfume, flowers, the pubgame expression books. Just random stuff. It's quite fun yet annoying at the same time. I hear more little kids on late at night. Shouldn't they be sleeping?

Some people could find that annoying lol.

People who dont want to 'cheat' by getting items from other people.

Its quite a laugh though; giving people ridiculous amounts of gold, or stupid things like lutes, condoms, etc.

    Re: Run-by Giftings

The other night I was helping a guy with a couple acheivements and he gave me 300,000 gold for my help, after I had told him that I did not need anything for the help. I like helping others for free. Since I now had an extra windfall, I went over to the Bowerstone blacksmith and saw someone working there who had very little gold (I think they only had about 5000 at the time). Since I knew that they were kinda held captive there, I proceeded to gove them a couple hundred thousand. I came back later and did the same for another person at the same spot. Rather than trying to run down orbs in the wild, my new M.O. is to search out those people doing jobs to earn money and gifting them. I do hope that seeing 100,000 or more gold suddenly pop up while they are working doesn't screw up their working streak!
