hey guys im new here so im starting of with somthing special "fable" and "fable II".

which both are superb games BUT which is best i think "Fable, the lost chapters" is best.

also if there is a "Fable III"  what should be in it i think, it shod be more open world like "Oblivion, the elder scrolls IV" or "Fallout 3"

i have to agree with you i loved fable , fable the lost chapters and fable 2
  fable 2 was a great game with a story line and AMAZING graphics compared to the old games ... but it was to short story wise i mean ther wasnt alot of missions to do . the main quests are pritty much find the heros and do the crucible and the spire  thats realy it in the others you had more to do and  it took longer which i enjoyed more  as i completed fable 2 in 20 hours (a  long day ) and the choice's i wish they would of given your sister back if you had picked the love choice but apart from that great game

For fable 3 i would love for it to be set in either the old kingdom times when everything started like the guild. or not in the distant future of fable 2. I hope that the 3rd 4th and 5th installment of the game (if they decide to make that many and i watched a video stating that they have ideas for the games) will have a bigger story line and not to loose your sister then to get her back and not be able to talk to her as happend in the 1st and 2nd

thats really ard because they both have their plus sides....i think if the first one had bigger regions like fable 2 and jobs and all the cool features fable 2 has and if fable 1 was in fable 2 graphics then that would be better

Absolutely loved both games, but I must say that I feel Fable II is the better game (peering through the thick fog of nostalgia to try and be objective).

Personally, I don't really think that Bethesda's trademark assloads of terrain style will work too well, as it can get rather boring wandering around for 10 full minutes, seeing nothing but trees, however, that being said; I think it would be rather cool to have a lot more discoverable dungeons / caves et cetera that this play style can offer.

Fable two is WAY better, it might be shorter but hell, it's so badass it makes up for shortness, fable 1 can suck my finger, it's the second worst game I ever played in my ENTIRE life. Turok being the first...

Fable II was better in that is had alot more to do outside of the story. Fable TLC was better in combat, storyline, setting and general appearance....

Would take TLC over Fable II anyday, only because of the heavier feel.

people could look cool with horns
better pub games....

Fable TLC anyday. I have never completed any game as much as that and I still love it - even have a fanfic website based on it .

I did enjoy Fable 2 but Fable:The lost Chapters is what made me a fable fan which as IMO better story, gameplay, equipment, characters etc.

Fable 2 was better graphically and had things that I wish were in Fable 1 such as co-op
start a family, jobs, pets etc.

Those who judge Fable 1 and 2 with graphics have to remember that Fable 1 is on the Xbox while Fable 2 is on the Xbox 360 so of course Fable 2 will have better graphics. Even then I still think Fable 1 has decent graphics even for todays standards and also remember there was no HD when Fable 1 was being made.

Anyway cant wait for Fable 3 and though it wont be atleast a year till Fable 3 but I'll add somthing to my Fable wish list anyway.

I wish in the future Lionhead consider making a prequal to Fable: The lost chapters where the story is based during the rise and fall of the Old Kingdom. With this not only will be get to know more about this fascinating time period and have Old Kingdom technology which as apparently more superior to Fable 1's time period and maybe Fable 2 as well. We would also get to fight creatures such as the Balvorn (reason for Balverines), Dragons, Platinum Trolls (What Archon's Battle Armour is made from).

Those who have only played the Original Fable or Fable 2 wont know this.

I prefer Fable: TLC rather than Fable 2 becouse of the world, story, music and characters. I hope Fable 3 will be about the time before Fable TLC or directly after Fable TLC!

Fable 3 is set after Fable 2, Your your fable 2's heros son.

Have to agree with Fable 2 is better. Fable 1 has more diverde regions, I don't mind the new music, greatweapons were awesome, ok, but that doesn't make fable 1 better. And about the storyline, you should give it another tought. Fable 2's is better in my opinion, although it's not as clear as Fable 1's. For the rest, Fable 2 has better graphics (who had tought that!), I prefer the fighting (except for the autoaim), and think about it, if Fable 1 has 18 spells, Fable 2 has about 12 or so, but that could have been more (counting things as time control as both slow time and assassins rush). Just go play Fable 1 and 2 again, then come back to talk. Fable 2 isn't as bad as most people say, and Fable 1 isn't as as you immagined if you play it again (ok 9.5/10 imo, but I mean differences with Fable 2). I don't say Fable 1 is bad in any way, but there's also loads of people complaining about armor IN THE 18TH CENTURY DURING WAR PEOPLE DIDN'T WEAR ARMOR!!, at least not the regular people. get that . So it might be a shame, but it's more realistic of that time. So it's not Fable 2's fault. For the rest I like the Fable 2 clothing. I could go on on what I like and what I don't about Fable 1 and 2, but that would be boring. So I like both (I love both ), and both are very , I personally prefer Fable 2.

Fable TLC was great, the boss battles, the spells, the towns, the story and you can go fishing . But after finishing the main story it got boring very quickly, I had no real motivation to play on.

Fable 2 has more charismatic characters (Reaver, Hammer ... ), bigger regions and so on. And there´s a lot more to do after the main story (the gargoyles, silver keys, dolls,  jobs, buying houses ... ) . And I like the darker feel of Fable 2.


I love both games, but I personally prefer Fable 2.

well we all could agree that fable 1 was the top of gaming at the release date.

fable 2 wasnt. still liked it though but too much got changed.

btw if i was finished with fable i quit. and started too play again after 2-3 months or so.

euhm u could make it harder for urself in fable 1 (no skills and all) in fable 2 its practically impossible

i felt like controlling the player in fable 2 not really playing it. in fable u were soo close too him that it almost felt like getting smashed by a balverine urself. well it is kinda impossible too get a chain attack on fable 1. if it was possible but most of us fable players dont want a complicated combat system. that should be for some other games like ng2 or something.

for the sound well it was just fable-like still lovely but damnit they got rid of the guildmaster !

and the brightness of 1 it was kinda like playing a fable. fable 2 was a bit too realistic (except for the will) and fable 2 area's were all the same. fable 1 had very different regions.

I played Fable II, But i am all for Fable: TLC right now. Fable II had great graphics, great everything pretty much, but the story line was too small, and after I beat the game i could keep on playing but after i beat it the game got really boring and it seemed really weak.
I am looking forward to checking out the new Fable III, But right now im playing Fable: TLC on my computer.

Fable 1 by far. or Fable TLC. Id still rather spend an eternity on Fable 1 original edition that spend an eternity on Fable II.
Reasons?:

Fable II was painfully short and the story was well basic: save hero of strength, save the hero of Will, save the hero of  skill then defeat the great spire in an awfully easy and non epic battle. Then choose a choice that really doesnt affect the game. for example:

Save loads of civilians and get pure points and a statue -_-   Albions population stays the same and your dog and family have died becuase of some statue.

Take 1,000,000 Gold:

tbh 1,000,000 gold is actually not alot in Albion, so its quite pointless unless you want corupt points!

The only one i see a point in doing is Saving your family and dog, i dont have to waste time in chatting up a  woman just to bed her and get children or to see the dialogue, and i get my dog back.

Weapons and armour

Weapons in  Fable II were basic, you had a slection of weapons (not a great library either).
I know Fable 1's weapon library isnt that big either, but the weapons were more outrages and cooler looking, and the legendary weapons WERE legendary, they were powerfull and looke amazing.

Clothing selection was poor and it was quite hard to get a cool looking hero unless you bought other dyes and experimented, and even with strenght 5* your character didnt look as powerfull or hench as he did in Fable 1.

Graphic style

The graphics were much better in Fable II which is expected but i prefer the STYLE of graphics used in Fable I. Big muscular characters that made your hero look massive and powerfull. Women that were slim and clean, buildings that were beautifull rather than wooden wrecks.

Music

The soundtrack in Fable 1 was unbeleivable, it was peacefull, mysterious, eerie, and scary Fable II had nice music but i prefered Fable 1's.

I could write loads more but i think Fable 1 beats Fable II by a long shot and i personally think Fable III or any Fables beyond this will reach the greatness of Fable 1. There becoming too modern. Fable stands for magic and creatures, not kings and pollution.

I hope Fable franchise dont keep moving forward in time. Imagion how horrible and bland Fable 8 (just an example) would be if you ran around killing balverines with AK47s, Dessert Eagles, etc and had to stop a nuke threat and save moddern Albion.

I hope they consider making prequals to Fable: TLC or atleast Fable 1. Those time periods were more interesting to me because of the Armour and weapon styles.

I also found Fable:TLC more funnier than Fable 2 such as when you gave certian books to the school teacher in Bowerstone.

One thng that ruined Fable 2 was that Oakvale is no more. Come on I bet more people were interested to see how Oakvale changed in 500 years more than Bowerstone. Yet it got distroyed and turned into a marsh. Nothing will be Oakvale back to Fable 2 but maybe in a future setting or a prequal it can be returned or rebuilt in some way. The snow globe world is what Oakvalle would have looked like in Fable 2 I guess but after the quest it gets empty.

I hope Fable 3 has a better muscle system than Fable 2 because all it did is make my hero look fat even though he was around slim and average.

Fable:TLC was worth playing again to do what you didn't do last time such as if you killed your sister and got the Sword of Aeons last time, this time you could destroy the sword and get Avo's Tear instead. Let Wisper live last time? This time kill her.
There are so many choices you can do such as be a pure mage or a pure archer. Have a different sexualality than you did last time. The choices are vast.
