Hey everyone, I'm a lionhead community oldbie from back in 2001, when I first got huge into the Black & White online community. While I've not posted much in awhile, the announcement of the Milo project has brought me back to the LH forums, since LH has proven time and again to be one of the most revolutionary, creative studios around.
I would like this thread to be both a catalog of what we know about project Milo to date, as well as open feedback for the LH dev team's perusal. No doubt, if a Milo game is indeed in the works (as opposed to Milo being an E3 tech demo), the LH team has features/storyline in place, but LH has always been open to ideas from the community in the past and I am sure they would be today.
What little we know about Milo so far:Milo appears to be a gaming experience where one interacts with a virtual person in a 3d (british?

) world.
Milo appears to be an advancement of the old Dimitri concept.
Dimitri Thread 1Dimitri Thread 2It was demonstrated at E3 and uses project Natal's camera and microphone to track player movement, and is meant to make the player actually feel connected to Milo's world in a way games have never been able to immerse a player before.
Besides facial recognition, Milo employs audio recognition as well to interact with the user, seemingly without predefined dialogue options (unlike, say, Bioware's Mass Effect).
Besides interacting with Milo, the user can also interact with certain aspects of the game world, as seen in the E3 footage of a player seeing her reflection in a pool of water and using her hands to try and 'touch' the fish.
Milo is also using Natal to allow the user to introduce items to the game world. This is evidenced by the gamer in E3 footage drawing an orange fish on a piece of paper, holding it up to Natal, which was then scanned into the game, recognized as a piece of paper, and Milo comments that the fish was orange.
Key information we do not know
Little is so far known about Milo's plot, or if it is a game with a set storyline, or more of a Sims-esque adventure.
The size of the game is also unknown, so the number of locations/buildings/ scope in general is not public knowledge yet.
Level of freedom: This is arguably the greatest question. Can you interact with Milo in ANY way you wish, or are there predetermined things you can/cannot do. I.E. Can you get in a fight with Milo, or even not be his friend anymore?
Interaction with other NPCs: is Milo the only character in this world that can interact with you?
Multiplayer: On a personal note, this is what drew me to Lionhead as a company back in the days of Black & White. The multiplayer community here has been fantastic, and the multiplayer gameplay in BnW was terriffic. The possibility of Lionhead + Natal for advancement in multiplayer games has so much potential, but as far as Milo is concerned, if two people want to play the game, can Milo
a)recognize that two different people are there
b)More importantly, to REALLY draw someone into the game, can Milo recognize who is whom.
The scenario in my head is as follows:
One day my friend and I go to play Milo on my Xbox360. Milo interacts with my friend, after I introduce them. My friend eventually leaves and doesn't hang out with me for a couple days, but when he/she DOES come back to the game again a few days later, Milo recognizes that they are the same person who he saw a few days prior, and can tell them apart from any other person I've introduced him to (yesyes, I said him and not it, but I'm just trying to immerse myself here

)
Obviously, I don't expect the dev's to come here answering all these questions, but I would like you all to post your ideas, discuss what could/could not work in the game, and more importantly what Milo could do that would make it a game worth playing, besides just the novelty of it.
