moonfever:I would love to be able to close and lock our doors, to our houses. No more people following us into our homes. ![Smily [:)]](/emoticons/emotion-1.gif) Got very embarrassed in Knotthole Island. Would be nice to gift spouses with clothes, and they wear them. I love playing a girl, and having a dog, hope we can in Fable 3. ![^^ [^^]](/emoticons/^^.gif)
I like playing as a girl too(that's not saying anything about my orient). I felt very inconvenienced when people followed me into a house to say something, and assume that I WANTED to interact with them when I could care less if a hobbe clubbed their big toe. One down side for me when playing as a girl is that if she's a hetero, you hear man grunts and sighs during sex, and not the girl's. Seriously, sex goes both ways, why can't my Hero(male or female) get ecstatic as well?
Locking the door to your house could be a great way to open up another quest. Besides, your right, I might want to have sex with my wife without anybody intruding and calling us animals when THEY walked in on US. Am I right? Also, I want to be able to tell the NPC's(besides the wife) to "Scram", an expression available to use once I'm in a purchased and not rented house.
Before, they hyped that each NPC would be unique. Well, technically they are, and by looks they are not. They also hyped that a quest would come with each house you purchased, and it didn't. They should make quests concerning each NPC.

That was hilarious and true! I showed it to my brother.
Yeah, bring back the normal cutscenes. The cinematic views are so much more dramatic.

Ideas for Fable 3:
As alluded 2 in the See the Future DLC, the main character is the Son of the Hero of Bowerstone. The Hero from Fable 2 is now the king of albion. Beginning of story has the Fable 2 hero being assassinated. New hero is taken north to Hammer where he trains with her. Hammer is assassinated as well (sorry for redundancy) and hero set out to find and kill the murderer Travels throughout Northern Wastes, Albion and Samarkand to find his father and Hammer's killer.
Lets bring back a magic system similar to Fable's, Fable 2's was trash, also bring back Berserk, Multi Arrow, etc.
Bring back bows, add daggers that do less upfront damage but can do assassination instead or flourishes, throwing weapons, and make legendary weapons actually useful
New character customization, be able to change what your face looks like, Girls that dont look like gym teachers and I WANT TO BE BLACK
After all main quests are done have hero return to Bowerstone where he establishes an kingdom
Build your own buildings and customize your guard uniforms/weapons, have opposing kingdoms that you can infiltrate, kill their leaders, attack their cities, or have you own cities attacked
MUCH LONGER STORY, I beat fable 2 in like 10 hours, take a page from GTA's book and have a story mode that takes 20+ hours to beat
Better end game choices, I want the world around me to be shaped depending on my decision, and when i choose "more gold than I can imagine" i dnt want an amount i can make by bumping up rent and changing my xbox clock, i want a number so high its dam near impossible to reach by any other means, or infinite money, plus if i save everybody i wanna be carried through the streets and have my visage adorn everything not a thank you card and a dinky statue where the base is bigger than the statue itself
MUTHERF*****G HORSES! MOUNTED COMBAT!
Better appearance changes depending on alignment, Halo and wings for ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) , horns and tail for
make ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) horns much more badass, like Hellboy horns
make you dog actually gain some similar features as u do based on alignment (horns for ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) , halo for ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) ) and give him some abilities based on which of the three disciplines you specialize in
(Strength: can charge enemies Skill: can sneak up and slow enemies by tearing at legs Will: (hate to sound like *** but) "super-bark" that does a knock back
Be able to change the clothes of your spouse, plus have your child inherit some of your physical attributes, dnt have them go from infancy to age ten in one game day, and why are ten year olds midgets?
BECOME A PIMP, BUILD A WHORE HOUSE
Hire hitmen, bring back NPC bodyguard
Assassination moves, be able to stun enemies and use finishing moves while theyre standing (decapitations, cutting them in half)
More fun ways to earn money, get rid of blacksmith, woodcutter, etc.
Let people use their characters appearance on xbox live and be able to have multiple friends playing together
new and much better arena (with the gameplay and feel of the one in fable but the ability to redo it like the Crucible)
Kill Theresa, from the minute i bought her those chocolates i knew i was gunna kill her with the Sword of Aeons, and now i get fable 2 and she's still alive? I want her dead whether shes my ancestor or not
Be able to load stuff from previous fables that determine who's still alive and whos dead
Stop with DLC bullshit! I want it all at the beginning or at least dnt charge me $12 bucks for like 4 DLCs
have tournaments between teams of players ranging from 1v1 2v2 3v3 4v4 5v5 etc.
Much more interesting and not so retarded storyline (honestly, a big spike that can destroy the world?) and also make a villain whos much more badass, i dnt wanna have a guy who i can shoot once and hes dead, or, even worse have that *** Reaver shoot him, plushave your decisions affect the story line for example have the choice to pick a side between warring factions (a la World of Warcraft) and have which ever side you choose alter the the quest you do
More gruesome graphics, i want the blood volcano when u shoot someones head off i want dismembered limbs and have bullet wounds, blood pools and no more clean headshots, i want that head being ripped off not poping off (plus be able to kick head/pick them up and throw them at people)
choose a crew, become king of the bandits, a sheriff, the head of an assassination society, or the archmage of an order of will users
disguises that (as previously mentioned) allow you to sneak into enemy territory or avoid being walked up to by everyone cheering and follow you when your trying to make babies
Bring back Garth and Reaver along with Hammer (help Reaver destroy shadow court + keep his youth without sacrifice)
If they keep the spire, then allow for the hero to take it from Theresa and use it
get a glimpse into the fate of Fable's hero as it is never specified in either Fable or Fable 2
thats all i can muster for now im open to any suggestions or criticisms

Re: ideas for fable 3
Id like all Fable 1 (tlc and orginal) content + Fable 2 content included in Fable 3. There is no need to leave anything out like what they did with fable 2.
They definitely should not make it futuristic
I would like the Fable 1 view for single player
and the Fable 2 dynamic view for multiplayer.
I would like more choices, a bit more land and definetly, more detail.
I have noticed a lack of deatail in fable 2- the music box is one example, the transition between yellow to red was terrible. And in fable 1, when you change clothes sometimes, you can see that your guy goes partly bald.
I would like more quests, new different varieties of npcs to kill, more things for your dog and more weapons and armor.
The armor in fable 2 was mostly cloth and didnt really give you ''armor.'' I would like some armor in my clothing or in my plate mail or something
Many things that were announced for Fable 2 never really happened - Using your dog as a scout (im not sure if you can really... but i never figured out how), destroying a bandit camp = new city (what happen to that?)
I like how we had like a stock market. I would like to also be able to turn cities... into bandit camps =D. OH! and have more power as a king or queen.
Maybe a little more custimization in your character's looks- at least some morphing =D
...those were just ideas. Its pretty much sure lionhead would never be able to pull all of these things off perfectly, but they can at least pull off a few =D
Also, i would like to USE MY OWN CHARACTER IN MULTIPLAYER.
But, if they do thenn... holy

I'll not write a massive wall of text talking about things that I hate, because that's stupid, and nobody reads those.
I hope that Fable 3 will be long. Don't give me none of the cod "Oh we wanted it so you could skoosh through it if you wanted." Nobody wants that, unless they're wanting gamerscore, stop appealing to those people.
I hope that Fable 3 will have boss battles.
Make dying harsher. I mean, you might as well have just given us godmode in Fable 2.
Give the game difficulty modes. I know I don't really like them either, but they're really required, otherwise it's far too easy. I mean, really, I suck at games, and I found myself generally frustrated with how easy Fable 2 was.
Get rid of stupid gimmicks. I don't care about the dog, I don't care about acorns turning into trees, just a game that I can play and enjoy.
Don't let Peter Molyneux talk about it, ever, at all cost.
I only wrote this because I hate you.

Well i beat fable 2 last night at my friend's house (still refuse to buy a 360 solely for that game) and i have to say, i liked it.
But i was let down as soon as i got out of Bower lake, because playing there i thought all of the areas were going to be big and you could explore them like Bower Lake. I also hated the loading screens once again, so even if you don't make the world bigger at least make it all connected, even if you have to say that the trip took so long, there shouldn't be a loading screen.
Also more stealth stuff would be cool. I remembered this one picture of someone in armor on top of a building from Ego, and thought it would be cool to be able to break into peoples houses.
I loved the dog aspect, but once again there were promises broken there. Same with the seasons, unless it changes with the xbox's clock.
Also i agree, don't let Peter make any promises, they've let people down in the past.
This is stuff i would like to see in the game, but i'm not hoping for it, past experiences have taught me to not hope for anything in a fable game.

Well i mean as far as the dog stuff, it wasn't implemented to the extent that he said it would be. I mean i get being excited about it, and honestly if i was in his position i would probably do the same thing, especially if i was excited about it like he is, but at the same time if i realized that stuff i was talking about couldn't be implemented i would just stop talking lol.
But anyway, Fable 2 improved on a lot of things, like combat, social aspect, etc etc, i like the features in Fable 2, i just thought the story was lacking and the world could be better. Now then, as for what i want exactly, now that i think about it, i want this: http://xbox.ign.com/articles/356/356079p1.html
It's the third time, it's supposed to be the charm, right? Lets hope we finally see project ego and go through the life of the hero. Also, just a suggestion, maybe they shouldn't use their own graphics engine that they develop in house for 3, i have a feeling that them building their own graphics engine took quite a bit of time and is why Fable 2 had less quests and was lacking in some aspects, i mean for the first Fable they had quite a bit of time compared to the second i think.

I've read through at least the majority of posts in this thread, and there are some ideas I liked, and some I did not. The number one idea I did not like, MMORPG. I fully and truly hope Lionhead pays no heed to the idea of a Fable MMORPG. That would utterly change Fable. Heroes in Albion have always been at least somewhat spare (obviously more spare in F2 than in the original, but in the original the civilians still outnumber the heroes) and that's the way it should be in my opinion, otherwise who cares if you've got horns and look like the d ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) , so does your neighbor and his neighbor and his she-hulk neighbor. This is of course just my opinion though. A second thing (though I did not see this, I'd like to address it, as if Lionhead staff actually read these) would be modernization of Fable. It seems at this point unless something drastic happens to offset the Albionic civilization, that they'll soon be reaching more modern technology. Where F2 stood, it somewhat paralleled our Renaissance (what with gunpowder technology and whatnot), and since Fable has been a medieval game mostly, I think that's as far as its technology should go, maybe far enough for weak explosives like grenados (an old pirate weapon, but that's not important). Unless of course Fable created its own fantastical technologies (somewhat like goblins and dwarves in Warcraft lore have, though I don't mean at all to compare the two, nor do I want them to mix) in which case I think it would be interesting to see a sort of "tinker" class which would probably owe homage to the skill branch, but I'm getting side-tracked. Now about aging. I don't know why anyone has a problem with aging. I love it personally. Fable was the first game (to my knowledge) outside of simulators that simulated the main character getting older, even growing from childhood, ultimately to a powerful old master of whatever he dabbled in. This was the first time I'd heard anything about people disliking the agining system, maybe I should just get out more. Another thing about aging that others have brought up, children and NPCs. I would have liked it for children to grow older, but as I say that I wonder: to what avail, or end? I know I wouldn't like it for my son to follow me on adventures, it would make me far too powerful to have a fellow hero sidekick ![Down []](/emoticons/icon13.gif) . But I found it odd that I could be gone for years upon years and when I return, my child is still like 8 and not growing. I mean if the hero ages and is affected by every little thing he does, how come no one else ages? It could be something as simple as once they reach a certain age, they become elderly, or once your children reach a certain age they become teenagers, or maybe adults (probably better for that to be towards the end of the game though). But I'm starting to ramble. I did really like one thing in F2. Even though firearms were just introduced to the series in this game, they didn't start out as like some sort of ultimate killing machine weapon that had one type and 3 classes (iron, steel, master). Instead we had rifles, pistols and blunderbusses, each with different drawbacks and benefits. Also rifles and pistols could be flintlock, turret or clockwork, each one again having its own drawbacks and benefits. Actually allow me to rant a moment. I HIGHLY enjoyed the variety of weaponry in F2. Katanas, Cutlasses, Longswords, Cleavers, Maces, Axes, Hammers, Crossbows, Pistols, Blunderbusses, Rifles, the list goes on and on. Ranged weapons really brought their A game this time, there are tons of different choices for ranged weaponry in F2, while in even TLC there was only the choice between Crossbows and Bows. Though I must admit I would have liked more of those epic legendary weapons (it seems I had more of them in TLC). And a word on the spells system, of course. I loved parts of it, though other parts epicly annoyed me. First what I liked: Every single spell could either be AoE or Targeted, which I thought was great. And better yet, for some spells the AoE and Targeted forms had different effects, like Vortex or the very varied Time Control. Bravo. Now what I didn't like: WTF was up with charging for the higher level spells? I understand that it's a bit more realistic that you'd actually have to channel to use a better quality spell, but when it comes down to it I felt handicapped by my strongest spells, waiting and waiting and waiting and getting injured and injured and injured, until I finally get to cast my best spell. It felt like I was forced to get at least one semi-defensive spell like Raise Dead, Chaos, Time Control's AoE or Vortex and keep them arranged at the lower levels so I could buy myself time to use my higher levelled spells. I also felt that when I wanted to make a strictly will-using hero, I was forced to upgrade physique and brutal styles half the time because the spells I could afford were useful for about 10 seconds before either the AI coped or I faced stronger monsters that weren't even stunned by my level 1 spell. And to upgrade my spells I had to pay out the nose in experience! ![Down []](/emoticons/icon13.gif) ![Down []](/emoticons/icon13.gif) Enough of what I liked and didn't like. This is supposed to about ideas for F3. The only reason I mentioned what I did and didn't like from F2 is because some things should be reimplemented in the next game, somethings need tweaking before they're put back in, and some things need to just be thrown out for ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) . In a nut shell. What should stay: Aging, dog, silver key chests, demon doors (more please), great weapon variety, choice of AoE or targetting for every spell, brutal and dextrous styles, the great humour and charm of the game in general. And of course the core basics of the game. (really the things not written in the "throw out" section I mean to imply are written here at least in spirit, there are simply too many ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) points to write down) What needs tweaked: Spells in general, family stuff, storyline, AI of people randomly following you into your house or blocking you into an alley, sheriffs and guards roaming the land not getting angry when you draw your weapon to help them (they should be happy for your help, not gain hate and fear), monster variety (it just felt a bit lacking, "oh I'm fighting another hobbe, who cares. Look another undead guy, whoop de doo. Omg a bandit, it's like I've never seen one of those before."), just more overall variety in some things like your hero's basic appearance, clothes, hairstyles, tatoos (it felt like a lot of tatoos and hairstyles that were in Fable and TLC were taken out in F2 and only a handful of semi-par ones remained). The working system, sure it was new and fun, but it was repetitive and I for one ended up with too much money too fast. The real-time income system, it's just lame, once your income is so high you could leave the game for like a day, come back and TA-DA you can buy the entire world. (I guess there were more things that needed tweaked than I thought ![Tongue Tied [:S]](/emoticons/emotion-7.gif) ) What needs thrown away: JoB. He's done. He's had his run kids, don't bring him back. He's died too many times, if he comes back we should just rename the series "Customized Guy Fights Same Villain". Stop pulling for it. As for QoB and KoB, they're dead too, maybe some day those two may return, seeing how we didn't see their end and we're just sort of kind of told in a hinting sideways manner that possibly maybe William Blackwell (AKA the Archon, AKA Scythe) killed them in the place that JoB QoB and KoB came from. Godliness, near the end of the game you're so overwhelmed with experience that you have every ability that exists and you've basically mastered every kind of fighting there can be and nothing is a challenge to you (possibly a revamping of the abilities system could fix this, I have an idea for that which I'll share...eventually) sure at this point you should just end the game and start a new character, but in reality too many people don't. Lack of NPC's respect, unless they're afraid of you it seems they just bad mouth you and sneer at you, even when you're ! (especially if you're ugly, idc if I'm ugly or not I saved your life so show some respect) I guess the last thing that needs thrown out...this post. It's simply too long and bulky, and if anyone reads it, I'll just have to say congrats, your Reading Skill just increased by 3. What needs to be added: I think I'll save this for another post, so it doesn't get overlooked. Though one of my ideas is a revamping of the experience/ability-learning system, which I'll go into more detail over in another post.
Well, thanks for reading I guess ![Wink [;)]](/emoticons/emotion-5.gif)

Oh yeah, aging, we were supposed to age in project ego, but in fable the whole aging thing was cheaply done in my opinion, i mean aging as you spend experience, i suppose it makes sense, but it just didn't feel like my guy was actually aging, and with fable 2 the whole cities developing was sort of copped out by having the 10 year absence, i mean i thought that we would see the town developing, but we could also tear towns down by laying siege to them. I dunno, like i said it just wasn't what i expected. [/rant]

Here are my ideas and thoughts on Fable 3..
- The Dog was an amazing idea and should be expanded upon in the sequal. Additional breeds gave it a hint of Black & White to it and was a very nice addition to the game. Every RPG player loves having a unique character first and foremost and the dog really adds to that. However I think it should be a choice, don't force the dog onto the player. He should take it with him out of choice.
- Leveling system was decent. I hated the idea of a player being able to gain ALL the powers in the game. It's absurd and takes away from the feeling of progression. Orbs were a bad idea as you can potentially lose a fair bit of experience during a long fight. Experience should be invisible and leveling should be througha fixed skill tree cinsisting of Strength, Skilll and Will. And allow the player to put points in however they want. Lionhead should create a system where specialist classes gain benefits, and cross classes gain their own unique benefits too. Want a specialis Mage ? Try an Ice Mage. Want a Strength and Skill character, you gain dual wielding! Want a Strength and Will player ? Gain specific spells that enhance Strength abilities .. and so the ideas go on.
- Armour. This needs to be implemented in some form, lets be fair. An armoured Knight will absorb more damage than a Rogue would correct ? But it shouldnt be something that affects aesthetic choice. I liked how Lionhead tried to allow the player to dress however he wanted, but armour needs to be a factor at some point. Mages should get spells to reduce damage. Rogues get avoidance etc blah blah.
- Weapons. There need to be more class specific weapons. Skill melee weapons ? Mage Staves/Cestus' ? Guns were great and showed advancement but what about Bows ?
- Family. Children grow up ? Involve them more in the side-quests and main story this time. It works believe me.
- Bigger Main Story. Please, please, please make the main story arc MUCH bigger than Fable 2's weak effort. The build up was great but it felt very empty and a wasted effort on such an incredible effort. The game should be approximately the length of Fable 1 + Addon in length. Epic, and just just right in length. Focus on main characters more please.
- Transport. Possibly add Horses, Carts and such to the equation. It may add depth to the world of Fable 3.
- Companion Characters. Possibly add 'true' companions that grow and change with you. They should come with full blown (and epic) side stories that run along side the main story. Possibly marry them ? Influence them to ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) or ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) ? Its a great idea that requires a lot of effort.
Just my 2 cents worth..

I think Lionhead should continue the idea of the child of a king as seen in the Fable 2 add-on See The Future. It seems like a ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) idea. Lionhead should also make better graphics, especially the women. I mean COME ON!!! Another idea is to like have wings if your ![G o o d [Good]](/emoticons/g_o_o_d.gif) and a tail when your ![E v i l [Evil]](/emoticons/e_v_i_l.gif) . There should also a cut-scene in the beginning of the game of you as a baby and again, you start the game as a child and continue from there, but instead of going straight into adultood, you age as you go. Thats all my ideas.
