hey i want to take a friend to knothole island i have the premium pack and they have the free, and it wont let us join co-op. any suggestions? also how can i give them hals gun?

I don't think that you're allowed to trade any DLC items, such as Hal's Rifle, Armor, or Sword. As for why your friend can't play with you on Knothole Island, it's probably because he only has the free version. In the free version, you cannot travel to Knothole Island. You can only travel to Knothole Island if you have the premium version.

When it says "Download the free version so that you can play co-op with someone who has the content", I think all that it means is that if a person without the content were to join your game outside of Knothole Island and venture into Bowerstone Market, they wouldn't be able to see the submarine and such. I suppose that this would cause the game to malfunction.

No, if you have the premium and the other person has the free dlc, then they should be able to join your game and go to KI with you as a henchman.  Now since the new DLC has come out, I'm not sure if that effects anything or not.  But if you two only have the premium and free KI dlc then it should work. 

Also I don't believe you can trade any dlc weapons and stuff except the Wreckager.  But I could be mistaken about that.

Thank you both for the info. I was confused because I read the description to the free knothole island and it said. If you have the premium pack you can invite people of they have the free pack and co-op. But didn't work. So my friend ended up buying the premium pack and THEN co-op worked. Surprise right . Again thanks for the info i hope it helps others.
